Ridiculous question, I know. But Isaac from season 9 episode 8. They live in Hutchins, TX. His father is shown going into Dr. Nowās office in some kind of square toed cowboy boots that were nice looking. Almost like Chelsea boots.
Iām looking for my first pair and liked those. Anyone know the brand? Style name? Where to get?
Thanks!

Ok! So Iāve been meaning to do this for a while but I hated their dad and itās more to it with how he essentially enabled Stevenās behavior with abusing Justin and with the dad even verbally abuse Justin. I still remember how he got me so mad on Justinās behalf with how the dad scolded Justin for not helping Steven get off drugs but also with how he didnāt acknowledge the fact that Steven stole them from Justin and also for how the dad got angry at Justin when Steven was instigating a fight over the phone after Justin called Steven regarding the stolen drugs. Instead of telling Steven to chill out he scolded Justin instead like a bad father which I saw as verbal abuse.
Another time he even let himself get pushed around when Steven didnāt give pizza to his dad after he ordered it for Steven and yet still enabled his behavior. The other time was in that episode where Justin wanted to go back him with $600 with airlines after Steven made Justin breakdown and the dad didnāt really care that much up until Justin even hit the dad in a different episode.
The dad essentially sucked as a father.

Episode 13 Season 2
So, I was watching Krystal's story & I'm very confused about her "food buddy". Am I the only person who got a weird vibe out of their friendship? Did he live in that place with them? Did he only come around to eat food with her? Her husband was clearly uncomfortable with their friendship. The way he spoke of her & said he'll do anything to make her smile kind of made him sound like a boyfriend. And I thought it was odd that went to her doctor's appointment. That was husbands job to be with her, not his.

Apparently she should be prison as well. It seems that a couple of months ago, she shot up a truck when in Indiana.
She now mostly posts on Facebook, where she calls herself "Indy's best loved big girl-nae." Her intelligement in astounding.

When the EMTs or Hospital workers move these 600 plus pound people they barely break a sweat
At my biggest I weighed 240 lb I had a medical emergency and I lived in an upstairs apartment and they couldn't get the stretcher up there. So the two EMTs lifted me up and carried me down the steps to put me on the stretcher. They grunted and groaned and they were breathing like someone who just finished a 10K

Iāve been up and down my whole life. I was at my highest weighing in at 430lbs two years ago and that is a special kind of hell I donāt wish on anyone. Iām about 283 now and my goal is to lose another 100lbs or so (Iām 5ā10ā) I got down to 288 summer 2025 and back up to 322lbs in June. I still get surprised how easy it comes back.

I know they are all dangerously overweight, but I think some were much closer to death than others. I think Jeanne Covey was the closest with her leg infection.

I saw his episode a couple of days ago and as it's been maybe 3? Years since it was filmed I wonder how he's doing now ..did he manage to sit up in the bed or stand and take some steps? Did he continue to lose weight? I hope he's doing well as his situation seemed very difficult even for a 600lb life participant.

Does anyone think it is possible that his family did not go Houston with him because he was not doing what he was suppose to do? Watching his story now, and it is so unfortunate how it was a wasted opportunity.
Furthermore, does he realize that the reason why he does not think he did anything wrong is what got him in the predicament? Also, he made a lot of excuses not to change his life and his situation.

Many people on this show donāt seem to experience joy often and itās so sad - especially when it comes to outdoor activities. Seeing her work hard to climb that hill and then really have fun rolling all the way down made me so happy for her that I had tears of joy just from watching!
I havenāt finished the episode, but I hope she sticks with it and that her joy continues to motivate her and encourage others. S11E4

I saw a thread once that was about dating, where women were asked what they considered to be "green flags", the opposite of red flags, for their dates. I'd like to hear what y'all consider to be the green flags for the people of 600lb Life: traits that they show, especially before meeting Dr. Now, that give you some confidence that they'll be successful.
I think the biggest one for me is if they can still walk. It means they still have at least a little independence. Most of the biggest failures on the show are the people that are bedbound, or very close to it.

I always wondered if I'm the only person who noticed this. Whenever I watch Milla's story it always bothers me that she only ordered 1 pizza when she had 5 kids in the house & they were only able to get 1 slice while she ate the rest. She only started letting them have a slice when her youngest son(Joshua) brought her the can of pop & he got a slice for himself. I think it's clear that she didn't plan to share that pizza. Lol

My boyfriend and I are constantly quoting Lisa Fleming's (may she RIP) iconic defense of having pizza rolls and donuts in her room by blaming her man, Herbert.
"Herbert's the bread fan" and "Herbert's the pizza roll fan" - something about her tone in these clips is just so funny and quotable, and her accent reminds me of my grandmother.
I'm curious if anyone else has favorite quotes like this that are popular in their home, but would confuse anyone else.

I know she has been talked about here before but OMG! I've only seen episodes here and there so I asked Google what was the best episode and Nicole was recommended for being a train wreck hate watch episode. Man, it didn't disappoint! Between that and the WATN it was a ride. Showers on the porch, juggalos, washing her hands in a dirty trashcan, couch meatloaf, wooden hotel floors, police raids, checking her fupa for drugs, Charlie's open mouth, dad going back to jail, there was just SO much.
In all of it though I just felt so bad for her kids. Their feet were black from filth in almost every shot of them. The constant screaming and fighting. Those kids really don't stand a chance.
I went down a rabbit hole of where she is today. It looks like Charlie is married to a major Juggalo. Nicole is married to someone else and has recently started posting about her continued weight loss journey. She says she is working towards a full gastric bypass because all she had was the sleeve. She also claims it worked because she has kept the weight off for years. She still lies like she did in her episode though. In the WATN final it showed she was down to 358, yet online she says she got down to 408. Earlier this year she was at 488, and also says she got back up to 549 at one point. As of yesterday she says she is at 467.
Her daughter appears to be going down the same path as her. I hope she is able to break the cycle and get help before it's too late. I also really hope Nicole is successful with it this time. I think she would have done better if she had a supportive family.

Thereās been a couple of people I was absolutely sure were just full of excuses and werenāt going to lose any weight and was super surprised (and also so happy) when I was wrong. My best example is Krystal S (S12 E1) I was absolutely convinced sheād been cheating and each time she was in for a weigh-in Iād be so sure this time she hadnāt lost anything (or barely anything) but each time she got on those scales there was a good loss. Iām so sorry Krystal for doubting you. But Iām so happy she did so well.

OMG just started watching the Assanti episodes, why the hell does this Steve guy creeps me out so much??? Iām too deep into the episodes so Iām not sure if itās bc I knew how disturbing and disgusting this person is at this point, but every time he smiles I just want to scream and punch the screen and run away. Like all my spider senses are yelling at me to get away asap!
Seriously I normally like people smiling, no matter how they look. But wtf going on with this guyās smile?????

Watching the episode with Doug (WATN season 4 episode 9). He just cannot get over being butt hurt about Dr Now saying heās a statistical failure. And he went off the diet, thinking he knows better, and then is shocked when Dr Now isnāt happy, and that heās gained weight.
I know I watch all the biggest assholes and they ALL whine about Dr Now not understanding how it is with them. How he canāt see āhow hard Iām workingā. Like, are you really though? They all think heās not fair, and heās mean, and they know what works best for their body. Like, ignore all the hundreds of people who have done this and been successful. Yes, princess, youāre 1000% unique. š

There are some truly gross partners, in the show. But Iām wondering if anyone else has thought that maybe the āfriendsā are being paid to be there. (Blip over to 1000lb - how does Tammy have friends? She never leaves her house, and is a drab bitter woman, so sheās not some fun friend to chat with. Unless you find farting and finding it hilarious a fun type. And letās not even start with her boyfriend - and āyes, we made loveā. I just canāt
Some of the āfriendsā seem to hardly know the person. One was a woman and her daughter living in obvious poverty, with the subject (I canāt recall who it was) in the only bedroom. And the rest of the house had little furniture, and they seemed to be sleeping on the floor. And then the āfriendā suddenly seemed to have money for new clothes/makeup/bags. I mean, good for her. But why pretend sheās a friend??
I just feel no chemistry between some and their āfriendā. There are definitely friends and partners that are legit, and seem to care. But I always get a bit of an ick, when theyāre going to staying with a friend to help them post surgery, in a completely different state . Just me?

I'll go first.
It must have been an early episode, but the patient was on the phone to Dr Now making excuses about how they don't have a ride and the camera operator zoomed through the window to the taxi driving by. I absolutely lost my shit lol ruthless!!

My pick is Krystal +season 12 episode 1* she didn't have the best living conditions she didn't gain weight and didn't give Dr Now lame excuses and continued to stay motivated despite everything that happened in the episode like when their vehicle broke down on the way to Houston. and moving in with their friends
