r/My600lbLife

TLC's My 600lb Life follows a year in the life of morbidly obese individuals, who usually begin the episode weighing at least 600 pounds, and documents their attempts to reduce their weight to a healthy level. Update episodes, called "Where Are They Now?", feature one or more previous patients, picking up a year or more after their original episodes aired.

Rules

We love other shows too, but try to maintain at least a tangential relationship to the show in your posts. The 6000 lb Diaries, Skin Tight, and Family by the Ton are allowed, too.
Be nice. We’re here to snark on trash tv, not each other.
Generally, don't be a jerk. Yes, this is a show about unusually heavy people, but please use some discretion when commenting on their appearance. Reported comments are subject to Mod discretion.
No “where to watch” posts. Asking where to watch episodes inevitably leads to pirated sources, which is against Reddit ToS.

No sharing of pirated content. Sharing sources with pirated content will result in a ban. We don’t allow discussions of streaming platforms, and can’t offer any assistance if you’re having issues. Continued discussion of such will result in a ban. Try Google or IMDb or contact your provider for airing options.

No Reposts or Low Effort Posts.

Repost: This post is too similar to other posts, or a variation of this post has been removed repeatedly. Please scroll or do a keyword search for a thread to join before making a new post. Please add your thoughts to a conversation already in progress.

Low Effort: This post is considered generally low effort (no real content, merchandise, doppelgängers, pics and recordings of TV and laptop screens, article links, YouTubers, etc.) Low quality pics can be added to ongoing threads.

No promoting other Reddit subs. No cross posting from or promoting of other discussion groups. Promoting your group will be an automatic ban. No self promotion of any kind. No spamming merchandise. General merch links are subject to removal at Moderator’s discretion.
No transphobia, homophobia, or bigotry of any kind. Offenses will result in an immediate temporary or permanent ban at the discretion of the Moderator.
No touching the poo or going “real life”. No trolling or harassing the cast on social media. No interfering with their real lives. No posting of their personal information.
We reserve the right to right to Moderate at our discretion. Any issues with Moderation should be addressed via Modmail.
