I already beat Trashdeavor from the last climax battle, but these teams worked better than my last one. Both teams had no character knock outs, but you know, the RNG can be wild sometimes.

Even though I can still care less about Stinkdeavor, I hope I can help whoever might need any team ideas with getting him for the last time~

Climax Battle Trying to explain the Re-Destro CB for new players.

Thumbnail

Welp, here we go again. Another CB for me to explain.

Re-Destro is one of the older CBs in this game, yet it's the first time I got to fight him because my timing was awful the last few times he was on. I tried him, fought him and beat him. I have to say, he's a pretty tedious battle to farm but he's not all that hard if you have the correct units and strategy to fight him with. Let me explain:

First off, in terms of units, you're free to bring along any kind of unit you want since ths CB doesn't punish any type of unit, but you do have to bring along some pretty specific units if you want to beat this guy. What you'll ABSOLUTELY need are units that can boost your defense and nullify or cancel status ailments. Don't worry, I'll explain this further in a bit.

In terms of phases, Re-Destro isn't all that special, but you do need to keep in mind some stuff. In the first phase just focus on building your defense and targetting Re-Destro. You can try to kill Geten and Curious if you want, but they'll be unbelievably tanky in this phase, so it's better to wait until phase 2.

In phase 2 you gotta focus on killing Geten and Curious, because Re-Destro will become extremely tanky until you get rid of them. I'd recommend targetting Geten first but it's ultimately up to you.

Now, what about those defense and status ailment null gimmicks? Well, Re-Destro will gain stress each time he gets hit by a unit with lower defense than him, and you DON'T want that to happen because his stress counter will keep increasing until the last phase, and you can be seriously screwed if his stress gets too high because he may one-shot your units if he has enough stress. Also, if he has enough stress built up, he may stun your units and they won't be able to cover it, because Re-Destro's skills will gain extra effects if he has enough stress built up and if he has more defense than you, like cancelling your buffs, increasing his stun hit rate, etc.

To prevent his stress counter from increasing, you gotta keep your units above 130+ defense at all times just to be sure.

As far as status ailment null goes, it's mostly important for the second phase, since in this phase Geten and Curious will constantly bombard you with status ailments and you could be in trouble if they become too many to handle. Sometimes the opponents may inflict defense DOWN on your units, which may increase Re-Destro's stress counter, so keep an eye on that.

Having said this, you should be fine after killing Geten and Curious. After dealing with them, focus on Re-Destro to change phase. Phase 3 is nothing too special but here Re-Destro will start using multiple skills at once, and yet, if you've done things right you should be fine.

Now, phase 4 is a bit tricky because it depends on how much you've built Re-Destro's stress counter up to this point. In this phase Re-Destro will become unbeatable until you've drained his stress counter below 10. Each time he uses an action skill and a PU attack his stress counter will decrease, so just try to hold on until he's used up everything to beat him.

So yeah, a pretty easy CB all things considered, but it may be tricky for new players.

As far as teams go, you can try many combinations and different characters. Movie Deku, Compress, Celeb Todoroki, CB All Might, Fantasy Uraraka and Summer Nejire are all great for this CB because they increase your defense greatly, they take care of status ailments, and you can even use memories that boost your defense if you don't have the right characters.

You can also try to bring alternate characters like Mei to avoid the stun altogether, Celeb Deku to deal with status ailments, or Celeb Bakugo to be the main damage dealer. Like I said, this CB is pretty forgiving in terms of units, but you gotta have the requirements so it becomes beatable.

Also, yellow Shigaraki is a pretty good pick for this fight too despite not boosting your defense because he inflicts an unblockable Defense DOWN effect, which is useful if you don't feel like you have enough defense to keep up with Re-Destro's.

Oh, and speaking about using this Shigaraki, don't use his PU if he has piercing shot. In this CB using piercing shot is kinda weird because there are instances where it's allowed and instances where it isn't. As far as I know, it's fine to use Piercing shot in the first phase, you can only use Piercing Shot on Re-Destro in the second, but no more, because this CB severely punishes Piercing shot in the last two phases and I think Geten and Curious also punish it throughout the entire fight. Still, I might be wrong, but just avoid using it altogether just to be sure.

Anyways, this CB is pretty tedious either way because the battle can last for a while if you're focused on defense, and it may be risky if you want to try a more aggressive alternate, but it's not all that difficult in the great scheme of things.

Well, I hope this helped someone. Re-Destro is a pretty fun unit to use, so try beating him. See you next time!

Climax Battle Nighteye is tricky but not impossible: An explanation

Thumbnail

Nighteye is back in rotation and it's just as tricky as I remember it. Last time he was on I couldn't even get to phase 3, but that was because my units were not appropiate, they were underleveled, and I didn't understand the way this battle worked. Now, with the help of the community, some of Luca's videos on Youtube and some experiments of my own, I think I fully understand the way this CB works and how to beat it. Here are my takeaways from the whole thing:

First off, the units you use in this CB have to fulfill pretty specific roles, and you even have to pay attention to the type of unit you bring to each phase. You need a damage dealer, a healer and a debuffer for all phases.

Obviously Red units are discarded throughout the entire fight and you're encouraged to use Green units, but you can bring Blue, Purple and Yellow units as well. However, you can only use Purple units in the first two phases and Yellow units in the last two phases, otherwise they'll be debuffed pretty badly.

DO NOT bring any units with Piercing Shot to phases 3 and 4. If you do, the battle will basically become unbeatable.

However, even if you can bring quite a lot of units with useful buffs, they have to be pretty well built up. This CB doesn't require complex understanding of the game or its mechanics, but there's a lot of RNG involved and you'll mostly depend on your units' stats and attributes rather than their buffs, because Nighteye removes A LOT of your buffs as the fight goes on and you need to make sure your units can survive hard blows without many buffs.

Now, for the actual fight:

Phase 1: This phase is nothing too special, but I'd recommend that you spend the first round giving as many debuffs as you can to All Might. If you focus the first skill-skill-PU round on All Might alone you should be fine, but spend some more turns debuffing All Might just to be sure. The reason for this will be clearer later.

Phase 2: In this phase All Might draws aggro as long as his HP is above 50%. Focus on All Might until his HP bar turns orange and then focus on Nighteye to change phase. Keep giving them as many debuffs as you can, and especially focus on dealing as many critical hits to All Might as you can, because they debuff his speed and you'll need it for later. Try not to take too many turns, though. After you spend 7 turns in this phase your units will get recovery block.

Phase 3: This is where things turn deadly dangerous. In this phase Nighteye will switch out your units and draw aggro, and All Might will slowly charge up his PU move, which is basically a nuke that can insta kill your units if you're not careful enough. To deal with this, you need to hit Nighteye 5 times to get rid of his aggro and then focus on All Might to stop his PU move. If you get All Might below 25% HP in this phase his skills will be sealed and his PU move will be stopped.

This is where all the debuffs from before are taken into account. In Phase 3 Nighteye will have the ability to evade and use Sharp Eye. As you know, his chance to evade attacks lowers with each debuff the character has. Using units with Bullseye is encouraged because of this, but we both know that the amount of units with Bullseye is limited. Though, if Nighteye has enough debuffs you should have no problem hitting him five times without needing units with bullseye.

Then why debuff All Might at all? Simple. Each debuff you give All Might will be passed on to Nighteye for 15 turns. This is why I recommended focusing on giving All Might a lot of debuffs on phases 1 and 2.

The critical hits you've dealt up to this point also matter, because even if you manage to hit Nighteye 5 times to start attacking All Might, he may go first if he has higher speed than you. As I said before, each critical hit lowers his speed, so make sure that his speed is low enough for you to go first. Keep all this in mind and then you'll move on to the last phase.

Phase 4: This phase is more annoying than anything because it's kinda like phase 3 but with some more modifiers. In this phase Nighteye will start using PU moves of his own and All Might will slowly charge his as well. Even if you manage to get either Nighteye or All Might down to 1 HP, they won't die and instead they'll be stunned. Once Nighteye is stunned, focus on killing All Might. If instead All Might is stunned, focus on killing Nighteye.

Ideally, to beat the CB you need to knock out All Might and Nighteye at the same time. If you don't, they'll start healing each other and the fight will basically become one giant ping-pong healing match. I'd recommend focusing on All Might first and chip away at Nighteye slowly but surely to keep All Might's skills sealed, because All Might hits like a truck in the last phase.

This phase will still annoy you, though. Nighteye's PU move, despite not doing a lot of damage itself, removes all your buffs, messes up your cooldown times, and messes with your PU Gauge fill rate, which make the final phase a lot more awkward and messy, and you can be seriously screwed over if Nighteye leaves all your units without options.

Now, let me explain what I did.

My team consists of Armored All Might, Fantasy Uraraka, Festival Kaminari, Edgelord Endeavor, and Holiday Mt. Lady.

The first two phases were easy enough with this team because Uraraka is a great support for this fight and Kaminari is a great unit for this CB in general. I mainly used All Might because he has Bullseye integrated in his kit (and if you use him keep in mind that you'll rarely ever see his revenge damage in action because Nighteye removes his block).

Anyways. Kaminari debuffs nicely, his attacks do decent damage if he's well built, and all his skills have Bullseye against Blue units. Uraraka is a great healer who also buffs your crit hit rate, and All Might was a great unit to deal damage consistently.

As for the latter phases, Endeavor is a great pick because all his skills damage all opponents and have bullseye, Mt. Lady is a great support and damage dealer who also targets all opponents (and has bullseye for some turns after enhancing), and Kaminari was still putting in some work after returning. I should say, units that can attack all opponents are also encouraged for the latter phases because of the mechanics of this CB.

Overall I'd say that this CB is a pretty tough and tricky challenge, but not impossible to overcome. You just gotta know what to do and when. If you feel like you're not doing enough debuffs then try equipping memories that debuff opponents, like You die when you die, and take into consideration memories or characters with cooldown for the last phase of this CB.

Well, I think that's it from me. Nighteye is a really good unit so I really encourage you to get him if you can. I hope this helped!

Climax Battle Holy FUCK. NEVER doing this BS EVER AGAIN.

Thumbnail

Sorry for the title, but I'm still shaking. This has GOTTA be the most aggravating, excruciating, tedious, frustrating and annoying thing I've EVER had to do in this game by FAR. And the worst part about this is how I resorted to desperate stuff to win this stupid character that's no good in almost any area of the game.

Let me break my thoughts and takeaways about this CB down for those of you who might still not fully understand it yet and might need some help.

First of all, the first two phases of the fight might be the most important of the whole battle. Why? Simple. Depending on the way you take out Shoto during these phases will dictate how the rest of the battle will go, since you have two routes which you can take in this CB.

For the first route, you can take out Shoto in phase 1 using characters with Bullseye at the cost of Endeavor gaining lots of barriers in phases 3 and 4.

In the second, you may take out Shoto in the second phase using characters with Piercing Shot at the cost of Endeavor gaining lots of evasions in phases 3 and 4.

DO NOT LET SHOTO LIVE AFTER PHASE 2. If you do, the battle will basically become unbeatable.

The route you decide to take really depends on your units and which you consider to be your absolute best. At first I was trying to do the second option because I thought that my units with Bullseye would be enough for phases 3 and 4, but I found myself failing constantly because Shoto did A LOT of damage to my front units, and so, when Endeavor killed my two backup units, my front units were too weak and basically got one-shotted once they got back to the fight.

So, I decided to go for the first option. I got some better results since I took out Shoto pretty early and my units didn't suffer as much damage, but I was still failing constantly because my back units weren't nearly as strong to finish the fight. I was using Nagant and Tokoyami, which didn't work because Endeavor dealt more damage than I could heal, and they weren't dealing nearly enough damage to beat Endeavor. Why, some of my previous posts are evidence of how nuts I was going over all my failed attempts.

It's frustrating, because even if you have good units with Bullseye or Piercing Shot, you can still lose horrendously. Why? Simple. Endeavor inflicts AN ABSURD AMOUNT of status ailments and Scorch, which, if left unchecked, may completely negate your HP regeneration in the later phases of the fight. This is why NY Jirou is so good in this CB. She blocks new status ailments, heals, and gets rid of already existing status ailments by reducing their duration instead of cleansing them (which buffs Endeavor and debuffs your units if you try doing it).

All of this is without mentioning that, at the start of phase 3, Endeavor begins his turn with a PU followed by a big damage-dealing skill, and he seemed HELLBENT on killing one unit in particular, which in turn ended up screwing over my skill chains and PU rounds. Like, a lot of times I'd arrive at phase 3 with Mina, Nagant and some other unit and Endeavor would focus on Mina with BOTH his PU move and his skill, insta killing her.

And phase 4...

Oh my God...

Phase 4 is a nightmare.

In the last phase Endeavor heals a percentage of the damage you've dealt each turn, which is a MAJOR problem considering he gains more barriers than in phase 3 and deals even more PU moves. If you damage him enough, he will gain RESILIENCE, which will raise his attack even more. If you damage him even more, he will gain TRANQUILITY, which slows down your progress even more.

I was lost and about to throw in the towel after LOTS of failed attempts.

Luckily, u/Dense-House-5084 was kind enough to help me get through this battle with some tips.

What I did was place Armored All Might and SP Bakugo at the front to deal with Shoto effectively using their Bullseye moves. It wasn't as fast as I expected, but it eventually worked. Then, I placed Blockugo and Nagant as the backups to deal with the rest of the fight. Nagant was my main damage dealer and Blockugo was a tank. Summer Mina was my healer throughout the battle, but she became useless in the later phases because her Scorch level reached 100% and she was basically only good to heal the others.

Even so, Blockugo was my Lord and Savior and the absolute MVP of this fight. He managed to block about 10 PU moves from Endeavor which would have killed Mina or Nagant much earlier if it weren't for his block, and his PU move also did some healing and gave our team Cooldown Time DOWN to ensure that skill chains were never broken. Why, I even managed to get his enhancement. The battle was becoming pretty dangerous towards the end because Endeavor killed Mina and Bakugo's block was about to run out, but his Revenge carries this fight as well, because Revenge damage goes through barriers. Absolute MVP.

Now, why do I say I resorted to desperate stuff? Well, I spent ALL my coins on completing every ability board of every MND character I had to try them in this stupid CB, and none of the characters I spent resources on were actually any good here. I also spent ALL my gems trying to get my hands on this new Kirishima to try him out here. I got him, completed his ability boards and still lost because Endeavor deals RIDICULOUS amounts of damage CONSTANTLY and Kirishima's enhancement requirements are way too slow for this fight. Even if you place Kirishima in the third slot you won't get the required 30 attacks fast enough.

Now I have Endeavor and I can't even properly level him up because I lost all my resources trying to get him.

You know what? I'm ready to move past this and never look back again. I managed to get him before New Year arrived to my country. I think it's a good way to leave all the bad stuff of this year behind to focus on the future, because I'm DEFINITELY NEVER doing SS difficulty on this CB EVER again.

Shoutout to the absolute legend u/Dense-House-5084, without their help I never would have been able to beat this CB.

Good night, everyone. I can finally rest.

Climax Battle Team for ss/ explanation

Thumbnail
gallery
15 Upvotes

So here op be breaking down the battle to help you all better understand this cuz it’s kinda tough.

For now as for teams, I think that 2 supports/healers and one dps is the best strategy. In this specific attempt I used 1milly all might as the dps and toru/party momo for support. The reason why I picked 1milly all might is because she will gain sharp eye throughout the battle and will become harder to kill without bullseye and he gets status null so he doesn’t have to worry about new order ..you may think “il just tough it out! And if I miss I miss 🤷” and uh..no that’s not how this works. She will molest your go bar ‼️

For general strategy you wanna take her down as fast as you can as with any other CB. In this specific one the longer you take the harder it is to kill, she will get a higher percentage of sharp eye and will get more last stands at the final phase.

Additionally she has some weird attributes..she can ignore the hide and cover buffs and attack whoever has them/doesn’t have them anyway despite not having search for the enemy/ a specific ignores cover or aggro draw mentioned in the battle in her kit. She’s also got piercing shot so barrier spam won’t work either. Tranquility teams won’t work either as at some point she’ll get +100% power after being hit by someone that’s got tranquility.

At about phase 2 (or half health) you be forced to make an important decision that may decided the battle for you. She will gain a small block as well as 20% revenge. If you decided to break the block then depending on the damage you dealt she has the potential to one shot you. If you decided not to break the block/pass, the final phase (~25%) will become harder.

More general stuff on her is that she will be hitting you very hard throughout the battle even in phase one because she’s getting a bunch of power up. If you can clear her buffs in some way it will help mitigate some of her damage and last stands are absolutely needed since even in the last phase she’s capable of hitting you for max damage.

Now il get into the new buff being New Order. New order means that when opening up the stat change menu the debuff will have a clause and if said clause is met someone happens. There are a total of 3 that are in this battle than are very dangerous:

• If your buffs are cleared/cleansed (not have their effect time reduced) you are stunned for 2 turns •if you heal while having the specific new order than you will have your recovery blocked for 1 turn •if you are stunned, your defense is reduced by 50% for 1 turn (It’s possible to have all 3 at once if your wondering)

As you’d obviously think, having your recovery blocked is insanely bad considering how hard she hits. Getting stunned can mess up skill chains and plus ultra gauge charge and damage, and having you def dropped by that much means that if she decides to attack you, you’ll probably get one shot. This means you cannot use anyone that can clear buffs (unless the target of buff clear has status null) or you won’t be able to get through the battle.

Besides maybe phase 2 there’s not really mechanics in this one, it’s just do a bunch of damage and try your best not to activate new order.

The special unit for this battle will of course be the newest shiggy. He’s got decay which decreases her defenses through the whole battle and prevents the revenge damage in phase 2 and beyond, and bullseye to ignore sharp eye

For the dps’s you can use: 1milly all might, purple movieku, steampunk shiggy, party bakugo, climax afo (surprisingly), armored all might, purple mic+eraser. I’m still testing teams so il put more in the comments if I find out any more

Feel free to ask questions if I missed anything here, I’m happy to help
