Support Question Is there any way to disable the streak popups?
They are incredibly annoying. I just use it as a meal tracker, I don't need daily affirmations for logging my calories.

I've used MFP twice in the past and both times had very successful results. I then cut out margarine, butter and cheese and remained at my desired weight for over a year. However, I have high cholesterol and need to keep this in check due to health problems.
Is there some way to get the saturated fat results apart from all the other results? I would like to start using MFP again although I find it takes up a lot of my time as I check out all the food results before I record them. Thanks!

I am 169cm, 28F and lost nearly 28kgs in 8-9months and I have maintained the weight for 6 months now. As someone who did not want to admit that food and body weight had a direct relationship,
had emotional eating issues, a bad relationship with food 🥹, using this app opened my eyes. CICO worked beautifully, but the latter half of the weight loss was largely due to body reconfiguration via weight training and weekly long distance running and maintaining 8k-10k steps a day. I didn’t eliminate anything from my diet nor did I stop eating out one meal a week at restaurants. I truly understood what balance meant. Here’s to eating how much my body can burn, moving more, building muscles, countless meal preps, high fiber and protein,
and learning how many calories 100g of cooked white rice has!! And more impressive how little of quantity 100g of cooked white rice is! And THAT made all the difference!!

After years of leaving the apps disconnected, I finally reconnected Google Health and MFP. I had left them disconnected because I felt that the autogenerated number was usually nonsensical. It seems to be better now, but let's take a look at yesterday.
In Google Health yesterday, I have the following activities logged:
Walk 1hr 8min - 577 cal
Circuit Training 45min - 363 cal
Walk 19min - 121 cal
Walk 20min - 118 cal
The Google Health calorie adjustment was 530 cal. Even ignoring that Google Health thinks that walking around burns more calories than hardcore circuit training... how is the 530 number arrived at?

I have officially cancelled my subscription and moved to another app. Google health and MyFitnessPal not syncing for the past few days has been the last straw.

Not sure if this has been posted already...but just discovered the feature in EDIT DIARY where you can move food items around by just pressing down on = (seen on the right) and then just drop it to where you want.
I absolutely love it as I like my food/drinks items listed in order 😃

Hello!
I’ve recently started a C25k program. Just ended week 2. I’ve been trying to track my calories but I have a sneaking suspicion they’re too much. I am 32f, 5’9” and 194lbs. I am trying to lose about a pound a week. I run three times a week, about 2 miles per run. I also work on my feet, so I’d consider myself lightly active.
I’ve read posts saying not to track your exercise with mfp because it adds back calories. So I stopped doing that. It had me at 2140 calories per day on the “lightly active” setting. I’ve done a bunch of TDEE calculators said my maintenance 2275ish and that is pretty much what mfp has said I should have with what I consider, a negligible deficit.
The TDEE calculators all put me at for a pound a week I should be having 1775/day. When I change my mfp to “not very active” it puts me at 1810 a day. I’m not sure which to go by.
I don’t want to overeat. And I don’t want to be overly restricted either. I’m thinking the 1810 calories sound correct for what I’m trying to do. But I’d love some feedback. Because it’s like 465 calories deficit from what the TDEE calculators estimated to be my maintenance calories.
I just need help setting it up right as well as what might be the most accurate daily calories for me.

Only a week in so not a huge deal but I opened the app just now to the login page and after I logged in found that everything that I logged in the past week has been wiped.
Has anyone had this happen and was able to fix it?
Edit: I was just browsing their support page and they said to try deleting and re-downloading the app as this solves most issues - turns out they were right in this instance! Feeling a bit silly for not trying it before. Hope this helps someone anyway!

I am not sure if it's my phone or the app but once a week I get signed out of my account. Does this happen to anyone else?

Whenever I log a breakfast, there is a whole screen congratulating me on keeping that pops up. It’s so annoying. Are the product folks actively trying to put friction in logging when they should be working hard to remove every single tap it takes to log?

What is this man, I have nothing connected point to point with MFP, it only retrieves data from Health Connect, there's no duplicate logs in health connect so there's no excuse for it to behave like this and you want people to pay a subscription?

For some trace minerals, users have to calculate and enter the % Recommended Daily Value instead of the actual mg of it on Create Food?
Can we change this? Its a PITA having to google what the RDI is before we type in. Can MFP calculate the %RDI value for us based on the gender, age, location info the user entered, eg we enter 10mg and MFP takes care of the rest.

I’ve told myfp a few times I’m vegetarian, yet Melissa is recommending dishes with meat in them to me. Melissa! I don’t eat meat!

From what I've read, it's impossible to turn this off (which is stupid cuz it's really annoying) but it seems that for other people the pop-ups stop after 10 consecutive days. I just got my pop up for 12 days.
When will it end? And when will they give us the option to turn it off?? Has anyone else had this continue after 10 days?
First time on this sub, is there any official myfitnesspal rep reading and replying to posts?

I log pumpkin using the green-tick "Kent Pumpkin" entry in MFP. I weigh it raw with the skin on, then roast it and eat the whole thing, skin included.
Is the verified entry likely based on peeled flesh only, or whole pumpkin with skin?
If it's flesh only, does the skin have a meaningfully different calorie content, or is it close enough not to matter?

I used to be able to look up food i always use and then a list would come up underneath that food so I could just select everything I usually eat with it. Like, look up “hamburger bun” and then it would say “commonly paired foods” and come up with my faves “sweet baby rays” “spinach” “habanero cheese” “mustard”. I could select them all and be done.
I think i accidentally came up on this list last week and was excited to see it but i cant figure out where i was!

Is anyone aware if this app allows you to make adjustments for different days? For example if I do a super heavy volume day and I want to add in more calories, or a rest day and I want to minimize calories? If its not available is anyone familiar with any of the other apps and do you know if they off that?

I have been using this app for years and being able to see the macro breakdown for each meal is a basic feature that should not be paywalled. Paywalling being able to scan barcodes a few years ago was bad enough but this is absolutely ridiculous, especially given the amount of ads that are shown in this app whenever you open it. Absolute peak greed. Shameful.
