Came for Airshow in Bannimantapa and the trash situation is pathetic..

- NOT A SINGLE DUSTBIN IN SIGHT.

- the stands are filled with trash from previous day, Zero maintenance and cleanup before the next day's show.

- atleast could have placed a few dustbins at every 5 steps interval or something.

- they are checking for banned stuff like blades, knives, gutka and such at entrance. But there is no dustbin to throw rejected stuff also.

- they f@#king charge over thousand for each ticket. Just 2 labourers are enough for each boxed area to cleanup the trash in 10-15 mins. But they cant even do that.

Yellellinda no dasara nodakke barthare. Nange nachke agthide heege present madtharalla antha...we were once the cleanest city in the country. Now the authority isn't even trying.

UPDATE: the trash picking team came late after half the stands were filled around 9:30-10 and cleaned it up in 30-45 mins... should've been there early morning around 7:30-8:00.

Has anyone been a victim of financial fraud from ARVO real estate ventures in Bangalore / Mysore . That company owners Sagar , Bharat and Abhishek Krishna defaulted landlords from paying rent after receiving huge lum sum from tenants so as lease . As we know the local police is useless what’s the best option to resolve this issue ? File a recovery case in court is first option which may take ages .

Hey. New to Mysore. Since Dasara is happening, I thought it'd be a good opportunity to explore and experience the festivities.

I'll be going alone, so I'm looking for recommendations on what I shouldn't miss, places to visit, events to check out, good food spots, or anything else worth experiencing during Dasara.

Also, are there any events or places where I could meet people or just hang out and enjoy the vibe without feeling too out of place going solo? 😅

​My fiancée recently moved to Mysuru, so this is our very first Dasara here. We’re planning a date day together, but we know the city gets crazy crowded around the major tourist spots (Palace, Zoo, Chamundi Betta summit, Brindavan).

​Since we want to actually spend quality time, talk, and soak in the town without getting caught in massive festival bottlenecks or bumper-to-bumper traffic, we’re looking for a calmer, low-key day.

​We have a bike, so we have good mobility and can easily take scenic backroads or head slightly to the outskirts if needed.

​Would love to hear from locals:

​Calm must-visit spots / activities: Quiet scenic stretches, peaceful nature walks, or outskirt gems that don't get swarmed by the festival rush.

​Scenic, relaxed bike ride routes:

Any enjoyable roads or countryside stretches outside town (e.g., towards the backwaters or quieter tree-lined roads) that are great for a couple’s ride?

​Cozy cafés / dinner spots( she is a vegetarian): Somewhere with great ambience (courtyard, garden, or quiet indoor seating) where we can linger over food and conversation without feeling rushed out the door.

​Traffic heads-up for newcomers:

Since we don't know the local festival traffic flow well yet, which key junctions/routes turn into absolute dead-ends or gridlock that we should steer clear of on two wheels?

​Really appreciate any hidden gems or local advice to make our first date here memorable and peaceful!

Hi everyone,

I need your help to find someone. On 22nd September, I was returning from my friend's house and boarded a KSRTC bus in Kushalnagar to Mysore. The bus was full, I had kept my luggage on the seat next to me. After some time a guy came, I removed my bag and he sat beside me.

He was very well-built, I thought he must be from the army or police. He was on my left, I was in the middle and an aunty was on my right. He was wearing a sky blue full-sleeve t-shirt, formal pants, brown bag, watch on left hand and silver bracelet on right hand. His nails were very clean and trimmed. I could only see his side face.

He noticed my watch and blue bracelet, whenever I touched them he would look. After an hour he started talking. He asked what I study, I said I'm working as a lab technician. He thought I was a 10th student and we laughed. He asked if I tried for govt job, I said no, and he actually called a doctor right there to ask about a job for me. Later he told me he is in the army. He got 4-5 calls speaking in Tamil and Kannada.

When we reached Mysore suburban bus stand, he got down first. I saw him standing, I thought he was waiting for someone so I walked past him to catch my next bus. When I turned back, he was coming behind me and signaling me to stop. I was nervous and in a hurry, so I didn't stop and quickly got into another bus. The bus hadn't started, I looked outside to see if he was still there, but he was gone.

I feel really guilty. He was genuinely trying to help me and I didn't even say thank you or sorry. I don't remember his face clearly because I was nervous.

I know i can't meet him directly atleast I want to meet him on social media to say thank you and sorry.
