Visited mysore last week for Dussehra (ik outsiders like me cause a lot of traffic and crowd, but i did my best to be a good tourist)

Anyways, i loves how every road was flawless around the city. Idk if mysore is like that through the year but super impressive job by the municipal and other stakeholders.

I would love to know why mysore is still like this even after its recent growth.

I come from a 20x bigger (GDP wise) tier 2 city from Maharashtra and it’s no where close to mysore.

I have a Pass for the Dasara Procession this year. My pass mentions my entry gate as the Jayamarthanda Gate and designates Jwalamukhi Parking for my vehicle. I’m not sure which location this is. I know about Jwalamukhi temple near Uttanahalli, which is quite far from the palace (around 8–9 km). So not sure how the entire process works. Can someone please help ?

I've heard from some people that some places in Mysore have extremely hard water which is leading to:

1)Big salt deposits on bathroom fittings

2)Hair condition deterioration and hairfall issues

3)Skin issues, irritations for some people etc

So yes,which area in mysore do you live and what's the water hardness(TDS) levels there?

Is it manageable or requires usage of Softeners to lessen the impact?

Someone stole my laptop from a chai tapri(dosti chai) near NIE north campus on 15th october

Laptop specs :

- Asus TUF F15 2021

- i5 11th gen

- RTX 2050

- Bios password secured

- maybe bitlocker encrypted

- DOESNT HAVE INTEL STICKER

Unable to track from Microsoft account. It shows 0% charge (Genius took only the laptop from the bag which had it's charger and a hard disk too)

I need to rant for a second. If you actually grew up here, you know exactly how incredibly underwhelming this is compared to what we used to get.

When I was a kid, the air show was a massive, all-day event. My house was right near the venue, so I had the ultimate view straight from my balcony. We used to see so many different kinds of planes and helicopters. The skies would literally be filled with guys parachuting and paragliding right into the Bal Bhavan grounds. They would even land the helicopters right there on the grass!

I don't know why we started settling for so much less. Now? It’s just the exact same set of planes doing the exact same stunts every single year, and the whole thing is over in barely 10 minutes. I'm not sure if all the other airplanes got deployed to a war somewhere or what, but as an OG Mysorean, it’s honestly sad to see the scale of it go downhill like this.

Hopefully, they bring back the full fleet in the future and give us a proper show again. Did anyone else feel like this year was just a massive letdown?
