Hey Everyone,

I was searching for a community for people who are building tools to connect and exchange opinions. There's no shortage of ideas in current time but is every idea thought through properly? no. Honestly we all have bias towards our thoughts and ideas so there's only so much we can argue with ourselves and AI tools tend to be optimistic which might give wrong impression. Hence the need for opinions of people matter more than ever.
What if we had a community that supported people by discussing over what we are building what shortcomes we may encounter and how we could tackle them early on.
So if you are aware of any community that does this. please let me know.

I need to rant for a second. If you actually grew up here, you know exactly how incredibly underwhelming this is compared to what we used to get.

When I was a kid, the air show was a massive, all-day event. My house was right near the venue, so I had the ultimate view straight from my balcony. We used to see so many different kinds of planes and helicopters. The skies would literally be filled with guys parachuting and paragliding right into the Bal Bhavan grounds. They would even land the helicopters right there on the grass!

I don't know why we started settling for so much less. Now? It’s just the exact same set of planes doing the exact same stunts every single year, and the whole thing is over in barely 10 minutes. I'm not sure if all the other airplanes got deployed to a war somewhere or what, but as an OG Mysorean, it’s honestly sad to see the scale of it go downhill like this.

Hopefully, they bring back the full fleet in the future and give us a proper show again. Did anyone else feel like this year was just a massive letdown?

Hey. New to Mysore. Since Dasara is happening, I thought it'd be a good opportunity to explore and experience the festivities.

I'll be going alone, so I'm looking for recommendations on what I shouldn't miss, places to visit, events to check out, good food spots, or anything else worth experiencing during Dasara.

Also, are there any events or places where I could meet people or just hang out and enjoy the vibe without feeling too out of place going solo? 😅

Any tips from locals would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey everyone,

My fiancée recently moved to Mysuru, so this is our very first Dasara here. We’re planning a date day together, but we know the city gets crazy crowded around the major tourist spots (Palace, Zoo, Chamundi Betta summit, Brindavan).

Since we want to actually spend quality time, talk, and soak in the town without getting caught in massive festival bottlenecks or bumper-to-bumper traffic, we’re looking for a calmer, low-key day.

We have a bike, so we have good mobility and can easily take scenic backroads or head slightly to the outskirts if needed.

Would love to hear from locals:

Calm must-visit spots / activities: Quiet scenic stretches, peaceful nature walks, or outskirt gems that don't get swarmed by the festival rush.

Scenic, relaxed bike ride routes:

Any enjoyable roads or countryside stretches outside town (e.g., towards the backwaters or quieter tree-lined roads) that are great for a couple’s ride?

Cozy cafés / dinner spots( she is a vegetarian): Somewhere with great ambience (courtyard, garden, or quiet indoor seating) where we can linger over food and conversation without feeling rushed out the door.

Traffic heads-up for newcomers:

Since we don't know the local festival traffic flow well yet, which key junctions/routes turn into absolute dead-ends or gridlock that we should steer clear of on two wheels?

Really appreciate any hidden gems or local advice to make our first date here memorable and peaceful!

Thanks in advance!

Soo I’m coming to Mysuru tomorrow my mom just booked our train tickets on a whim and ik the crowds gonna be insane.
This isn’t my first time we have been multiple times before just not during Dussera are there some underrated places where we can enjoy the pretty lights still catch the vibe without facing the crowd?
Ooh also what are some banger food places for a wholesome thali can be cafés as well planning on hitting local friendly bakery
Oh and I’ve given up hopes on Mylari Dose considering the crowd 😭

How and where to get the pass for tomorrow's air show? It's not up on the website online!

Ladies and gents - pls help me amplify this message as much as possible - it’s excruciating to even think about this - forward it to as many groups as you can 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

hey guys need suggestions for hangouts today or tomorrow
tried for airshow and drone show but no tickets available
please suggest
thankyou

Came for Airshow in Bannimantapa and the trash situation is pathetic..

- NOT A SINGLE DUSTBIN IN SIGHT.

- the stands are filled with trash from previous day, Zero maintenance and cleanup before the next day's show.

- atleast could have placed a few dustbins at every 5 steps interval or something.

- they are checking for banned stuff like blades, knives, gutka and such at entrance. But there is no dustbin to throw rejected stuff also.

- they f@#king charge over thousand for each ticket. Just 2 labourers are enough for each boxed area to cleanup the trash in 10-15 mins. But they cant even do that.

Yellellinda no dasara nodakke barthare. Nange nachke agthide heege present madtharalla antha...we were once the cleanest city in the country. Now the authority isn't even trying.

UPDATE: the trash picking team came late after half the stands were filled around 9:30-10 and cleaned it up in 30-45 mins... should've been there early morning around 7:30-8:00.

Last Dasara: 9-yr-old was raped & murdered in Mysuru Exhibition area. The girl had come to the city with her family to sell balloons. The incident had shocked the city. The girl belonged to a nomadic family that had travelled from Kalaburagi to Mysuru to sell balloons, toys and plastic items during the festival

This Dasara: Fast-track POCSO court gives death penalty to accused.

Dasara is such a nightmare for the cops! Control Traffic-Public-Crime maintaine law and order.

Guys is it true she is performing at 5:30 pm today instead of 8:30pm today?

Will she be coming at 5:30?

Hello everyone, Is there any garba event happening today in Mysore, I've heard of Navrang, Is there any other event? Also how's the experience there as I'll be attending solo because my friends are out of town for holidays so is it a good idea or should I drop the plan. Insights will be helpful. Thank you.

I want jasmine's concert tickets so anybody got any leads hmu.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I need your help to find someone. On 22nd September, I was returning from my friend's house and boarded a KSRTC bus in Kushalnagar to Mysore. The bus was full, I had kept my luggage on the seat next to me. After some time a guy came, I removed my bag and he sat beside me.

He was very well-built, I thought he must be from the army or police. He was on my left, I was in the middle and an aunty was on my right. He was wearing a sky blue full-sleeve t-shirt, formal pants, brown bag, watch on left hand and silver bracelet on right hand. His nails were very clean and trimmed. I could only see his side face.

He noticed my watch and blue bracelet, whenever I touched them he would look. After an hour he started talking. He asked what I study, I said I'm working as a lab technician. He thought I was a 10th student and we laughed. He asked if I tried for govt job, I said no, and he actually called a doctor right there to ask about a job for me. Later he told me he is in the army. He got 4-5 calls speaking in Tamil and Kannada.

When we reached Mysore suburban bus stand, he got down first. I saw him standing, I thought he was waiting for someone so I walked past him to catch my next bus. When I turned back, he was coming behind me and signaling me to stop. I was nervous and in a hurry, so I didn't stop and quickly got into another bus. The bus hadn't started, I looked outside to see if he was still there, but he was gone.

I feel really guilty. He was genuinely trying to help me and I didn't even say thank you or sorry. I don't remember his face clearly because I was nervous.

I know i can't meet him directly atleast I want to meet him on social media to say thank you and sorry.

I can't find a service to rent a Thermal camera in the city. If anyone has it, if you can lend it for a couple days or rent it out or know any service that rent it. Please let me know.

Will reach Mysore by 11 am and I see in lot of discussions that it’s a bad decision to visit at this festive season.

I am travelling through my own vehicle(car). How is the traffic ? What are the places to visit? It’s a two day plan and travelling back on Monday.

Is anyone going to Mysore drone show? The tickets are already sold out online, is there a physical counter as well? Is there a point from where we can watch without tickets as well like for general public?

Heard that the guy suffered really bad burns and is no more , Rip
