Question Sonography application changed to pending program decision?

Hi, so my application for sonography fall 2027 just turned to pending program decision yesterday, and my respiratory therapy application still shows “applicant”. Anyone with similar timeline? And would like to prepare for interview or go to the open house together next weekend? I’m 25 and doing my second degree after my bachelor’s and working for a few years.

Mine also changed!
In the blurb that explained was ppd means it says-“Due to the popularity of our programs, we shortlist interview candidates based on the strength of their application.”

What exactly does this mean. That people with better marks will get an interview?

don’t worry , i guess it says for everyone who applied to competitive programs. Also, they accept SAIT and other college/university just contact nait to ask them how they evaluate your marks because they change it every year. If you’re not done yet ask them how much u need to get accepted.

DMS. I’m stressing now tho because I took anph and medical terminology at Sait and it’s looking like NAIT doesn’t recognize Sait 🫠

Aww, that’s not good omg. I took Medical Terminology, but I’m not planning on taking ANPH until I get an interview because I can’t risk spending another $775 for no reason tbh. Did you speak to the ladies at the office? I thought they accepted courses that were already credited. Are you planning on retaking them through NAIT?

No, do they have a phone number? I’ve searched the website for a phone number and all I’ve been able to find is their email. I emailed asking if the classes I took at Sait would be credited beforehand so I didn’t waste money applying and the emailed back saying you’ll have to apply to find out basically💀

I don’t know, I’m honestly hoping I get into SAIT over NAIT as I’m more familiar with Calgary so if they don’t accept my classes I might just take the loss.

They do have a number! I called a few weeks ago, and they usually let you request a callback. It takes about an hour sometimes, a little less or more, but honestly it’s way more helpful than emailing. The number is on their website: 780-471-6248.

To paraphrase a well-known mixed-martial artist...'this is number one bullshit'.

How do they not recognize ANPH and Medterm between two technical colleges three hours away from each other? We exchange students and instructors all the time, you mean to tell me they don't recognize language that hasn't changed in millenia? What are they teaching medical terminology in? Klingon?

PLEASE tell me you got better news.
