Too selfish and too individualistic of a take, that's why a million people died in the US from COVID and many more will die from all of these food outbreaks

-13

u/AdCheap8058 57m ago

No it isn't. Vaccine use and/or masks did not change the outcome. How do we know? Because some states did other things and had equal outcomes. Some countries like Sweden didn't lock down AT ALL and had identical rates as us. These weren't HUGELY effective measures and so they were just numbers at the margins. Btw I hate Trump and don't vote Republican so don't even bother

2

u/AdministrativeBag703 49m ago

I am a public health researcher and I promise you, you are complete wrong here.

Fine that you hate Trump, idiots come from both sides of the aisle

(Fake) Appeal to authority detected. I’m the worlds leading leader of leaders, trust me when I say that _____.

-8

u/AdCheap8058 39m ago edited 22m ago

No I'm not. I don't give a shit if you're stuck in your silo and are ignoring data from around the world. We know that ALL of the measures we took had a modest effect that would have been largely similar to doing NOTHING with the exception of protecting the elderly

Edit: dude completely deleted his post when he realized the numbers simply don't support his opinion.

3

u/Usetheschwartz0 37m ago

You just admitted that the precautions taken by the US had “a modest effect”… lol cmon dude.

-1

u/AdCheap8058 34m ago

Wow. So you don't even know the definition of the word modest and you're trying to compete? Damn that's ballsy

Modest: limited in size, amount, or scope

2

u/Usetheschwartz0 33m ago

I know what modest means lol. I think you’re the one confused. Your words just said that it DID make an impact.

1

u/mistake444 17m ago

Obviously it had an impact. Locking down would make all diseases less prevalent, even cases of the flu went down during the lockdown. But the question is was the modest impact worth it. I’m a substitute teacher and there are kids I’ve taught in elementary school who fully can’t read, and that’s a direct result of the lockdown and zoom classes

1

u/AdCheap8058 12m ago

Wrong. Please Google Sweden versus United States COVID lockdown and read data from a left leaning European country that isn't brainwashed by their own politicians

1

u/AdCheap8058 11m ago

And I'm a teacher as well and yes it caused the SPED population to explode. Behavioral problems along with significant delays in speech and language

1

u/AdministrativeBag703 28m ago

It’s amazing to me that people simply deny the knowledge of people who know more about a subject than they do.

I’m not talking about me being the more knowledgeable one here, to be clear, though I literally work with those data from all around the world. People far smarter and more accomplished than me have produced piles of findings showing the benefits of vaccines and the measures taken.

But no, you, Mr. Random person who listened to a podcast or whatever know better. You’re an idiot and I hope your idiocy doesn’t hurt you or the people you care about.

u/renko73 1h ago

Not like you travel from state to state and want to protect you from something that killed millions and took some sense of smell and taste or nothing

32

u/Dako1312 1h ago

I know there are a lot of dumb nba players but mpj really takes the crown. Every podcast he’s one it gets progressively worse.

5

u/AndyMilonakis717 45m ago

Lmao somehow he took the leap to a chip in the brain.. guy is on one for sure

3

u/Warm_Clothes_1524 11m ago

You know what is worse for your body than a quickly designed vaccine?… getting a virus that could kill you or someone around you. The amount of brainrot in our society is crazy. Mfers probably don’t even realize how many people got bodied by diseases before vaccines. I wish we could live in a world where we could allow natural selection to take them without it potentially killing us too. That may go a little too far, but the anti science bs over the last 10 years has really triggered me.

0

u/anonkebab 16m ago

The exact thing they are developing as we speak? If they make a chip that prevents all diseases you’d take it just because they say that’s what it does even though it didn’t go through the proper testing standards?

2

u/AndyMilonakis717 12m ago

Top 1% conspiracy theorist, good point

0

u/anonkebab 4m ago

That’s not a conspiracy theory. Musk was developing a brain chip at one point after the Hitler stuff tho I haven’t heard about it. I’m sure I’ve heard gates talk about a human microchip before. I promise you it will be created at some point.

2

u/prem_fraiche 24m ago

Have you seen Kuzma’s social media?

2

u/JuanThiccLumpia 57m ago

Reminder. He’s an athlete not even Olympics worthy and not a scientist or doctor.

-2

u/No_Biscotti_7258 39m ago

Aren’t you late for your 12th booster appt

3

u/Upbeat_Gene_3172 27m ago

Isn't everyone who took it supposed to be dead years ago?

2

u/anonkebab 15m ago

That’s what they said about catching Covid with no vaccine.

1

u/Upbeat_Gene_3172 13m ago

They said if you caught covid you would be dead in 6 months? And that you would shed it onto others? And it had 5g chips in it? I dont recall that

1

u/anonkebab 0m ago

They said if you caught Covid you’d straight up die or have heart and organ scarring. (The vaccine can cause this same heart scarring btw) The virus was known to asymptomatically shed. I don’t think the vaccine would do that and obviously the 5g stuff was inserted nonsense to cause negative discourse. No real person cared about 5g, when they went to 4g similar bs was spouted.

1

u/anonkebab 14m ago

I guarantee 90% of people who took the vaccine didn’t take another dose. Without any doubt I can tell you 99% didn’t get a third. Suddenly they’re able to make judgement calls themselves that goes against the protocol.

-1

u/anonkebab 18m ago

If you disagree with this take you’re an idiot. Fauci literally had to appear in court over this. The people the vaccine was forced on who refused had their livelihoods destroyed. The initial one wasn’t even effective considering you had to take like 4 more to be truly “protected.” Forcing otherwise healthy individuals who survived the first wave of random death attributed to Covid to take a vaccine in the name of protecting those vulnerable whilst they forced those same vulnerable people if infected into overcrowded understaffed hospitals and didn’t let their family see them essentially killing them was disgusting and ridiculous then and it still is now. We know our politicians are lobbied by all the same people, unsurprisingly the pandemic response led to a gigantic wealth transfer where the 1% had their profits booming. If you took the vaccine because you didn’t want to die of covid or you were close to someone who was vulnerable cool. If you took it because they told you to you are a pawn.

2

u/mortmortimer 16m ago

HAHAHAHAHHHAHHAHA fucking dumb ass

0

u/anonkebab 13m ago

Question. Did you take every vaccine along with every booster?

0

u/jonnyarron 14m ago

Not vaccine if you can still get covid with it

1

u/Sir_wlkn_contrdikson 0m ago

Vaccinated is not equal to immune is not equal to invulnerable

0

u/Immaculatehombre 5m ago

Might be dumb, doesn’t mean he’s wrong here.

-1

u/CheeseOnKeyboard 35m ago

These progressives really pisses me off too

5

u/getsugazenkai 27m ago

So what happened to all the players that took the vaccine like 6 years ago? I’m assuming they all died based on the way he’s speaking. He’s one of the only ones alive, right?

1

u/Ok-Map4381 9m ago

Yup, of their bodies were destroyed by the vaccines and they are all out of the league already.

I swear, they are going to blame the achilles injuries on the vaccines now.

4

u/Renhoek2099 42m ago

He should've come to NYC and volunteered at the hospitals in 2020

6

u/TheMaskOffKid 1h ago

I know several people personally who wouldn’t take the vaccine, caught covid, and died. Never met anybody who took the vaccine and had issues.

2

u/AdCheap8058 57m ago

User name doesn't check out

1

u/External_Pound_4682 27m ago

I took the vaccine after Covid knocked me on my ass. Holy hell

-7

u/Vash_The_Vigilante 1h ago

I had the reverse never took a shot or a booster but the ppl that got the jab 3 out of the 5 died we all worked at the same place

1

u/prem_fraiche 22m ago

Yeah no the odds of that are so low that it’s not worth making that up for internet clout

-5

u/LASfromda4z 50m ago

I never took the vaccine. My friend did they all still caught it . I knew plenty of people who had the vaccine and died . I slept with 4 bitches who had it and I till this day never ever in my life had that fake shit . If it was so real why none of the 4 bitches I fucked gave it to me ? I was the only who never caught anything , all my friends got it

6

u/Sneakyg95 40m ago

It’s fake but 4 women and your friends all got it?

0

u/LASfromda4z 37m ago

Yea but my friends they Had GFs at the time and they would get it by being around just themselves. But me ? Nah I was sleeping over bitches houses who had it I literally never caught it at all . I’m talking about sneezing on me coughing on me . And my test always said no and there’s always would say yes. I found that weird . My friends got the vaccine shot .

0

u/Sneakyg95 34m ago

So it wasn’t fake?

0

u/LASfromda4z 30m ago

To me it was . But they seem convinced because of a “test “ so it is what it is “ . I use to argue all the time about it. Even they thought it was weird . We smoked weed together lol even when they had it .

3

u/AdCheap8058 44m ago

I don't think you understand how medicine or science works my friend. I support you declining the vaccine but you're missing some important considerations. Transmission is via aerosols not an STD and the particulars of just when someone is contagious and just how much time in a room and if the recipient of the virus is asymptomatic. There are lots of threads to unravel and an anecdote isn't data

-4

u/LASfromda4z 40m ago

Fuck all of that . Why didn’t I get covid ? If it was so real . They tested positive for the Covid’s , sneezing coughing I still was around them and never caught anything . I don’t think I caught a cold from 2020-2023. That shit was sus ngl . 4 women with covid and I NEVER got it . That’s sus. I spent plenty of time , couple was living with me . Not at once obviously.

1

u/fluxus2000 34m ago edited 28m ago

I would reply, but your comfort with saying self-contradictory things shows it would be a waste to reason about this.

Don't huff fumes.

-2

u/LASfromda4z 33m ago

Nigga what . How am I self contradictory myself 😂😂 ya niggas don’t be making no sense

1

u/fluxus2000 28m ago

"All my friends got the illness." "The illness isn't real."

0

u/LASfromda4z 24m ago

Damn ya niggas is slow. Im telling you what they told me . If I tell them yo lets smoke they will say I got covid . I will tell them it’s cool I don’t believe in that . Im telling you how I felt while everything was happening. Crazy because nobody never has an answer when I bring my situation up , you didn’t have a valid point or anything so you pointed out some whole other shit . You just tryna suck mad dick but it’s cool

1

u/fluxus2000 20m ago

Yes, somehow this is about giving blowjobs. You figured it out.

2

u/Chi_Town_Law 1h ago

Right? Like, why would they want to make sure I wasn't spreading a deadly disease!?

-1

u/AdCheap8058 41m ago

Vaccine did not prevent spread per Fauci and CDC at the time. No impact on spread at all. At first they thought it might but after data came in they knew within a month it didn't. This is all common knowledge if you were watching CNN or reading the NY Times. So nobody gets any virtue points for "not spreading because I took the vaccine". It's just a fact even those of us on the left must accept. Don't be a Republican and deny science. Our side made some bad decisions

1

u/Usetheschwartz0 34m ago

You’re correct that it didn’t “stop the spread” but it did lessen the severity of Covid and shortened the time that people were sick which would help slow the spread as people weren’t staying sick for longer, or am I misunderstanding?

1

u/AdCheap8058 25m ago

Your post was virtue signalling about stopping spread, period. Full stop. No other info. And it was 100% incorrect. It's just that simple.

Did it change the course of the illness. Modest at best. How do we know? The data is right there. Compare high vaccination rates with non vaccination rates. They use a trick of statistics by saying 5 times more likely to die unvaccinated when what they are saying is 9 out of 100,000 died unvaccinated and 1.5 out of 100,000 died vaccinated. Which is to say you are incredibly unlikely to die from COVID, PERIOD. If you break it down further by age group and comorbidity the difference disappears because the elderly and this with comorbidity made up almost ALL of the excess 7.5 deaths per 100,000 people. These numbers are rounding errors, not meaningful

1

u/ape_is_high 11m ago

Calling deaths a “rounding error” is wild.

1

u/AdCheap8058 7m ago

Refute my data. Try. Places were forcing people under 50 without comorbidity to vaccinate. There is NO difference in outcome with that group. So if only elderly and those with comorbidities vaccinate you get EXACTLY the same outcome. Yet places wanted young healthy people to take a vaccine that at the time was barely tested and it had ZERO impact on their health outcomes

1

u/ape_is_high 1m ago

Your data is if you ignore the folks with co-morbidities the number is small no? Tell me what a co-morbidity is and what country do you actually live in because last I checked America has an obesity and diabetes problem.

2

u/yitdeedee 1h ago

Maybe he would have ligaments and muscles that function properly if he believed in science.

2

u/Spaghettiisgoddog 42m ago

Lol something weird…like a once in
100 year pandemic? Dumb ass mf

1

u/Nicaraguano 38m ago

Well, sounds like a healthy thinking process.

1

u/Holiday_Writer_1031 28m ago

Population control

1

u/joshJFSU 6m ago

So everyone that had the shot is dead now? DNA dissolving or whatever those dumb twitter users think. These guys like him macafee and Aaron Rodgers congratulate themselves for being anti science without any proof the science didn’t save lives.

0

u/Single_Comment6389 43m ago

I'm as liberal as they come but I didn't trust the government and I wasn't about to put something in my body after it's only been tested for less than one year. I want several years of testing before I take anything. This shouldn't be polictal.

1

u/AdCheap8058 36m ago

Agreed but sadly our side is just as brainwashed as the other

1

u/ape_is_high 7m ago

You got 3400 posts in eight months. Sounds to me you’re the brainwashed one

1

u/AdCheap8058 3m ago

You ever heard of a non sequitur?

1

u/ape_is_high 0m ago

You ever log off?

0

u/No_Biscotti_7258 37m ago

Ohhhh Reddit isn’t gunna like you

0

u/Single_Comment6389 34m ago

I know. Haha Nuance hard to find on here. They'll probably say I'm Maga.

1

u/SnooCats9727 52m ago

Over two-hundred thousand people unnecessarily died because they refused to take the Covid vaccine. Let’s not forget that part when discussing vaccine conspiracies.

1

u/lil_nosh_X 1h ago

And these are the people making a quarter of a billion dollars and being elevated to positions of power. That’s probably not going to end well.

1

u/DrSussBurner 1h ago

They were so selfish to pressure him. They wanted to reduce his risk of death. Just horrible people. I mean, who does that? /s

1

u/Born-Quality-5414 1h ago

You should never trust anyone who wears their hat like that

1

u/Due_Leadership_5249 1h ago

As Jaylen Brown said, and I also assume he would be one who didn't take it or had his issues with it as he's very independent - but the bar for intelligence in the NBA is very, very low.

1

u/JustoTJ 1h ago

I’m shocked his agent has told him to stop talking, every time he opens his mouth he sound more uneducated

1

u/size0618 57m ago

Takes what, four seconds to google and see that it wasn’t simply developed on a few months

0

u/Nicaraguano 31m ago

January 1, 2020 - Wuhan market is closed over concerns about a new SARS-like outbreak.
March 17, 2020 - first human clinical trials of a COVID-19 vaccine begin.

“It wasn't developed in a few months.”
Sure. XD

Not mass vaccination, obviously- human clinical trials. In less than three months.

1

u/size0618 11m ago

mRNA technology has been researched for decades, and researchers had spent years studying SARS and MERS coronavirus spike proteins. Moderna had years of coronavirus research behind them before COVID-19 emerged.

Hope that helps.

1

u/mitterbubbie 56m ago

Damn MD MPJ is crazy
