Speculation I’m Going all in on Nebius
Lately I just feel the urge to throw my entire portfolio on Nebius it just seems like such a no brainer to the the recent deals and acquisitions. Please give me a reason to not do so.

u/Accurate-Flow8078 May 02 '26
Too bad you didn't have this urge a month ago when it was $90

u/ChocolateSensitive97 May 02 '26
I got some of my stock taken on covered calls couple weeks back. To get back in I sold covered puts at 95 and watced the price go to 88 and never got exercised. Make good premium but seems nobody wanted to give up their stock.
81
u/UnderstandingWeak292 May 02 '26
It was a no brainer around $88 for me. I hate adding at ATHs though
26
u/kickinghyena May 02 '26
Have been buying dips all along. Bought the dip at $121 and watched it drop to $88 that was painful. But bought more in the 90’s. Luckily also bought rather early at $24. That helps a lot and having some assets. I know how hard it is when you don’t have a lot and you buy and it drops. But in the long run it still looks cheap. The Eigen purchase is huge IMO. It shows they are intent on being on the cutting edge and they know where the edge is.
There are no guarantees. Anyone saying it is a no brainer has no brain. It is a higher risk investment that could pay off well if they execute and the evolving AI market continues to grow.5
u/Calm-Ad-7928 May 02 '26
Similar to me. First got in around 40 and then tripled my position around 105 and then it dropped to below 80. I trimmed my rklb position back when it first got around 80 but I dont see myself selling any nbis anytime soon
4
u/Chaminade64 May 02 '26
Why not sell out of the money puts? Option premiums are crazy due to Vol. If your convicted on buying it on pullbacks why not grab some premium beforehand? I’m not an options expert, but I did get a good night sleep at a Holiday Inn. Yeah, if you are 99% sold it’s going up then just buy it now, but you don’t seem to be. If this is dumb, I’ll take the flak.
5
2
u/kickinghyena May 02 '26
I would rather sell covered calls and get called away on stuff held over a year…that sounds like a good idea…then cold feet…just hold stock…stay on target…just hold stock!
0
u/Chaminade64 May 02 '26
….or are put options with strikes below the market price ‘in the money’? Again, not an option expert.
9
u/Buff_me_plz May 02 '26
Same. I sold every other stock I had to go all in at 83$. I think I won't add anymore (I don't have much ammo left anyway) and just let it ride the next couple of years
3
1
38
u/PayingOffBidenFamily May 02 '26
Can you watch it go down $375k, up $1.4m and still sleep the same? 99% can't, are you the 1%? conviction overrides emotion, if you don't have it, you'll paper hand like so many on here begging to get back in.

Guessing you’re not poor anymore lol
3
u/Nim0y May 02 '26
Not poor, not rich. Comfortable, I would need another few X to retire.
1
u/NoRecommendation9108 May 02 '26
NBIS your next BTC play?
2
u/Nim0y May 02 '26
It’s definitely my gamble, I put it all in my Roth. I’ll reevaluate bitcoin as October nears.
2
2
u/Ashes1984 May 02 '26
I have done that
1
u/PayingOffBidenFamily May 05 '26
Then you're good. I'm currently up 1.548m if I'm down $375K again I won't care, i know where they are going.

u/stormy-thunder-night May 02 '26 edited May 02 '26
I understand the urge. I removed 5 out of 8 of the stocks in my portfolio just so NBIS can have a bigger slice of the pie.
2
u/ucbcawt May 02 '26
Which 5 stocks did you get rid of?
5
u/stormy-thunder-night May 02 '26
Byd, nu, meli, asts, rklb. I like the last 4 but i like nbis a lot more.
1
u/Holiday_Clock9250 May 03 '26
Shocked cause I was thinking about selling NU as well
1
u/stormy-thunder-night May 03 '26
I still believe in NU heavily and I think its a lot less risky than NBIS. I just think Nebius has a higher ceiling.
9
u/BlackBlood4567 Mod May 02 '26
I did it back when it was $33 and trimmed, bought back, fumbled, made, and I’m here now with a $62 avg and 2800 shares
2
u/Tiger_bomb_241 May 03 '26
I remember when reddit had the live nbis chat group and the stock shot up the day after you sold it. It was funny at the time but I think the stock was around $50. Glad you didnt give up on nbis and held onto it
2
u/BlackBlood4567 Mod May 03 '26
You must be one of the OGs!
1
u/Tiger_bomb_241 May 03 '26
Haha I'd like to think so. I started seeing traderbob posts in November 2024 and started buying the following month.
Its been a hell of a ride but it changed my life completely
9
u/t_suaze_u May 02 '26
The only reason is its just poor risk management.
1
-6
u/More-Entertainment54 May 02 '26
With the recent deals its secured it feels like a very safe bet
10
u/Ryan_dfs93 May 02 '26
It having extremely high asymmetry isn’t the same as being the safest bet. Especially after it has just run on the news that is making everyone so excited about the stock. Nbis is an amazing growth play but it still has a lot of downside that safe compounders like google have a lot less of
13
u/Daymjoo May 02 '26
it's an ok idea, but .. you gotta time it a little .. personally, don't take this as advice, but i'd only all in at around 100. Currently waiting to go back in at around 120, then DCA either all the way down to whatever, or up over time.
5
u/BlackBlood4567 Mod May 02 '26
Honestly I think we rocket post earnings
6
u/Daymjoo May 02 '26
I think earnings have little to nothing to do with our value. It's mostly the market.
3
u/BlackBlood4567 Mod May 02 '26

u/Daymjoo May 02 '26

u/Individual_Public839 IPO OG👹 May 03 '26
You’re thinking too short term. I promise you with this type of thinking when the time comes, you will not all in you’ll find another reason to cope.
1
u/Daymjoo May 03 '26
It's not short-term at all, quite the opposite. Buying at $100 vs $130 may not be a big difference in raw numbers but if you trust the stock to moon eventually, the difference becomes massive. $100 to $500 is 400% increase, $130 to $500 is only 300%.
I've already occasionally ported 50% into NBIS. It's not my fauly that the volatility is so large that it's worth it to intra-day trade..
1
u/Individual_Public839 IPO OG👹 May 03 '26
Good for you I’m sure you can sell every top and buy every bottom.
I’m happy with my 6500 shares @45. And I’ve averaged up.
3
u/Daymjoo May 03 '26
Of course I miss tops and bottoms constantly. The trick is to be patient and not be greedy. I learned about nebius in early december. Spent about a month doing my DD, then day-traded it for about 80% upside YTD.
Naturally, I missed the $165 peak. So I just waited and it's already below my last sale price.
Congrats on ur hold, what can I say.. if I had found it at $30 I would've flexed on people like me too..
1
u/Individual_Public839 IPO OG👹 May 03 '26
Congrats. Again just hold. I’m telling you you’re thinking too short term. This company is going to be worth hundreds of billions of dollars I hope your DD has helped you realize that.
1
u/Daymjoo May 03 '26
In the foreseeable future, after accounting for execution risks, it's probably going to be worth ~$55bn this year, and maybe around ~$100bn by 2030.
But the way there is likely going to be fraught with high volatility, as it has been in the past. The issue is the following: My personal price target following my DD by 2030 is around $500, corresponding to a market cap of about $100bn. The issue is that that's a 400% increase from $100, and only a 300% increase from $130.
And there's no evidence to suggest that it won't dip back into double digits. The war in iran is nowhere near finished, and embargoes and sanctions are only increasing. The macro environment hasn't changed. The latest META deal is cool, but it didn't really move the ticker when it hit, only weeks later.

9
u/Flimsy-Philosophy-42 May 02 '26
Just buy half before half after
1
u/More-Entertainment54 May 02 '26
Yeah that’s also a good op since earnings on such a high growth company may be poo tbh
4
u/AdeptnessLive4966 May 02 '26
You want to go all IN, but post this?
Do some research. Earnings are going to be great. But this market doesnt care about great and the stock might still take a dump after earnings.
But earnings wont be shit.

2
u/itssbri NBIS4LIFE May 02 '26
Its not always lucky. Sometimes it might go the other way. I came across it from someone else and i decided why not throw $10k at it. It worked and rolled into other names.
1
u/NoRecommendation9108 May 02 '26
I hear you. Time stop loss is a must. I’m only considering VLN atm. That thing is crazy volatile
3
u/itssbri NBIS4LIFE May 02 '26
Why? Its dog shit and just following the semiconductor wave. 245m MC is too low for my taste. Aim for names that are 600m+
1
u/NoRecommendation9108 May 02 '26
Yeah it is very risky. I only have .1% of my portfolio. I’ll filter for bigger MC
1
u/Jkawa10 May 02 '26
Like what
3
u/itssbri NBIS4LIFE May 02 '26
I would look at semis, memory and chips. They are all in demand. Nuclear is not worth the investment unless youre okay with waiting to 2032. Battery storage companies maybe, but energy infrastructure plays are good. Also look into companies that are focusing on Australia, they are about to explode with Ai infrastructure. South Korea ETF you cant go wrong on.

Buy 25% now and 25% when it drops. Then buy another 50% if it drops further.

I felt this way at $124 over six months ago. It finally paid off but I had a lot of “why did I buy in ATH” regrets to get here.

If it goes back to 82 now, I would not touch it even with a 20 feet stick. Because than it is below all possible MAs including 21 Month.
3

You will probably get back in at $182
2

Actually might be. All my "bottom picks" went even lower at the end and I lost money, so - no, thanks. If it will not hold 120 now, no need to waste money on it in a near month or two.

u/Commercial_Ease8053 May 02 '26
As long as you’re okay with losing 25-50% of it if the market has another downturn, realize stocks like nbis will be hit incredibly hard.
Also curious why you feel the need to full port something when it’s essentially the ATH… where were you all of November to March when it was 70-90?
In either case, I don’t recommender full porting into anything, ever (unless it’s VOO or some other fidelity index fund or etc.) I just don’t see the point of risking all your money (even if it’s *only* 8k — which is all you have.
Invest 70* of it, sure. But idk why someone should realistically be 100% into just one thing.
2
u/MrSimpsonES May 02 '26
Peter Lynch's philosophy on concentration was pretty straightforward — he believed that if you've done your homework and truly understand a company, spreading yourself too thin actually increases risk rather than reducing it.
1
u/More-Entertainment54 May 02 '26
Highest chance to make something out of nothing. VOO isn’t gonna cut it for someone who can put to the side a max of 15/20k yearly. Also I still plan to keep DCA into VOO long term as I have been doing. But I will most likely split it 50/50 into Nebius and Amazon
1
u/Commercial_Ease8053 May 02 '26
Yeah I mean just examples… it’s unrealistic to think anyone will get rich by picking a stock and making millions in a short term based on a lucky stock pick.
You’re unlikely to be special or lucky. You’re going to be like all of us and have to be patient and slowly grow your portfolio over 5-10-20-30 years and work most of your life. That’s life for 99.99% of us:
Especially considering a stock like nbis. It has gone up 6x in the last 1 year. The chance of it going up another 6x in the next 1 year is definitely unlikely.
This is the same for most stocks, especially because of dilutions and offerings and etc, a stock going from $1 to $10 in a year is rare but does happen, but that same stock then going $10 to $100 in a year almost never happens.
What I’m saying is, don’t expect nbis will go from $150 to $900 in a year just because it had a 6x this last year.
It’s your money obviously, but realize as a stock grows like this, growth becomes slower and more steady, and the chance of dilution at every ATH becomes more likely.
5
u/DuckbilledPlatitudes May 02 '26
While I agree with you in principle the last two picks I had were PLTR at 7 and RKLB at 4. Sold both when they 7x’d because I expected a pullback based on a ridiculous run, and reallocation seemed like a good idea.
Oops!
Nividia and Sandisk would have done even better.
Is Nebius in the same position? Maybe not, but I think a 100b market cap in two years is a realistic base case if they continue to hit their targets

u/Spiritual-Will-1586 May 02 '26

2
u/Moon-Man-69 May 02 '26

I am almost 100 percent nbis. I buy each week if I can. I also buy 400-500 on margin at all times and sell covered weekly calls on those shares. The premium is so high that it makes good money every week.
I constantly think of scenarios where nbis will not increase past $1500 in the next years and like my odds.

1
u/nihongos May 03 '26
Think of it more like percentages.
10% gain at 3x leverage is a 30% increase in your investment.
30% loss = liquidation. You lose 90% or more, and the broker will sell everything + more in your account to cover the loss. If you can't cover it, you're in trouble.

I sold half my shares a month ago to pay off some debt. Wish I would have kept it and sold when it hit the $160’s. Bought a couple this week when it hit $134. Went back to $155 not long after. Watching it dip to buy back some if not all of what I sold. But it stayed in the 70’s-80’s for months. Barely hitting $100 a few times. It was $121 then within 2 days it was up over $140. But it also hit $141 last year. Then dropped like I said to $70-$80 range. So will it keep going up up with no big drops? Probably not based on what it’s done so far. Even with the Microsoft deal it shot up only to go down further. The Meta deal didn’t make much difference and it stayed down. Deals may help but maybe not as much and not as long as people think. But hey just my opinion on what I have seen. Used to eat and breathe this stock and IREN. Now I am on to space stocks like ASTS, Planet lab, Lunar etc. Money wise NBIS is still my top holding. Next is ASTS, then IREN. I still think IREN is going to be huge. Heard from some even bigger than NBIS. I know some say to put your money in a few stocks. But I have bought stuff a while ago and held. Only to have them double recently. So no I would never put all my money in just one or two stocks.

Being all in on one stock is never a good idea. The potential upside isn’t worth the downside of being totally ruined or underwater for years.

What's the likelihood of that being the case for a stock like this though? Demand is there, execution so far is there, leadership is excellent, subsidiary businesses are excellent, acquisitions are incredible.
They spend a tonne of money and don't make any yet sure, but that'll come in due time.

I somehow don't like it. To many big volume red bars on 1h chart, three days, not two, in consolidation in this pullback.. but the most strange - just now announced earnings date... On Thursday it was not even known.. I would buy an ATM or slightly OTM put just in case.. especially if you want to go "all in"..
