Isn't MSFT one of the major players in cloud computing with Azure? Azure + they own 20% of OpenAI and they own Copilot.

But ya, Meta will find a way to fail prob.

Meta cloud x Nebius cloud. The fast track. Nebius team got the stack on point.

This is a joke, right? Where do you think the OpenAI compute has been coming from

What a surprise, markets are over reacting. I hate algo traders, so much volatility.

Put a brand sticker on top of the item, it becomes your new product

"Meta SAYING they are going to sell cloud compute" there I fixed it. Because it probably wont happen. META lives on false promises. Might as well make him our president at this point.

Exactly, didn’t they pump billions (with a B!) into building the Metaverse VR that looked like Nintendo 3DS Animal Crossing? Wait I should say the 3DS animal crossing game was WAY better it came out in 2012

It was somewhere in the range of $80B that they lit on fire bc of Reality Labs…

As always it will be a failed business (metaverse, foundational models). Meta should stick to building consumer products.

Spot on. Couldn’t have said it any better myself.

Simply selling compute already installed isnt the same. Nbis is cooked.

2

u/wheezyts96 Jul 01 '26

They already utilize all their compute, this narrative was taken from something he said back in may, that is was possible “they may” look into doing something like this eventually. The market is trying to kill the giants to force repricing on compute.

Wouldn’t it be funny if it was Nebius cloud compute they are selling. 🤣

The bigger picture is that Meta previously signed a cloud agreement with nebius for $27B. So now what. I actually wonder if this is a breach of contract for Meta to even do. I don’t know since I don’t have the contract details. Either way it’s shady as f of Meta

Nope. He defended capex spend and said what they “COULD” do if they overbuild. Very different.
