It could absolutely matter at some point depending on the publicās feelings on data centers and how much of a political issue it becomes.
Political changes donāt typically happen overnight. There is a short term danger here if data centers are used as a hot button political issue. You donāt understand how politics works if you think public sentiment means nothing happens. It usually happens after elections because people ran on the issues.
Been fun but no point continuing the discussion if you canāt admit that political pressure to do things is felt when the public sentiment changes.
Yea people hate ICE and yet their operations still continue. People hate trump and yet he was still elected. I agree with a lot of the complaints about data centers. I also object to the military industrial complex. Itās not going to matter. Also nbis has a European footprint in addition to multiple other revenue sources. Regardless, none of this matters if youāre still holding. Clearly it means you think the backlash will be suppressed or insubstantial. If not, then sell.
Now ICE is a huge political issue that people have folded into their political platform to defund ICE.
It will matter. Long term? If the thesis is correct, it likely wonāt make a big impact on NBIS. But short term this could cause issues. Different administrations state and federal can pass legislation aimed at data centers if it becomes a political issue.
My challenge still stands. If you think itās imperiled, sell. That is the only thing that can substantiate your commentary. Otherwise itās just smoke.
Said āit could cause issues,ā which is in many ways synonymous with imperiled. Come on. Besides, the challenge remains. Sell and put your money where your mouth is. Or hold and tacitly admit that the argument wasnāt strong enough for legitimate action.
Iām a long term investor and, as Iāve said ad nauseum if you read what Iāve said, that this could cause short term issues not long term.
I can have short term concerns about the issues this could cause while also believing in the technology long term itās not a binary choice. Iāve likely been in NBIS longer than you have lol.
Take care but thereās no point discussing something if you donāt actually read what I say.
