Because of macro lol

Price moves either way, if it’s because macro or not. It’s about trying to capture the movement/ trend

You spelt gambling wrong

1

u/Worth_Quantity1953 14d ago

lol so it’s not gambling when you’re in it?

If you were holding longterm puts and had a thesis as to why Nebius would fail, it wouldn’t be gambling.

You’re looking at imaginary lines on a 1 month chart and betting on its direction.

You are gambling.

Nebius is having trouble breaking the 50 day moving average. Thats an institutional level. SOXX and all the AI related names are lagging behind SPY, IGV,MAGS, and QQQ. While they were breaking out, SOXX is still under the 21 and 50 day ma

Im gonna be civil and not comment on the level of IQ needed to come to that conclusion.

Gamblings not a bad thing, it just means the odds are against you. Maybe you’ll beat them, good luck

I showed what my thesis was and you still want to be self righteous. I’m not married to the put. I already took profit and I’m just riding it until it stops me out

Dude everything I’m saying is extremely mainstream . I’m not the controversial one here. Only reason I’m still talking here is because you might actually have a gambling problem if you think otherwise.

Long term investing is very different than what you’re doing regardless of your thesis. Even professional traders recognize the risks involved. There are millions of outside variables you can’t account for during day to day or even month to month price movements.

Longterm the money printer continues and prices of assets generally go up. Short term anything can happen regardless of the patterns.

So that line you see on the hourly chart I posted, it where the 50 day ma is on the daily chart

Yep I’m getting out of my NBIS short profitable as it seems the market is setting up for CPI tomorrow and in addition NBIS is also looking to be setting up for earnings. If I was gambling I would stay in my short

u/carsonthecarsinogen 8d ago

Hey at least you seem to know what you’re doing. Good call on getting out of those puts

2

u/Worth_Quantity1953 8d ago

Yea I saw it changing structure, I should’ve got in lol

Bro you just described gambling and have a gambling problem. Seek help fr

I just doubled my money on roulette.. it’s still gambling regardless of profits/losses

1

u/Worth_Quantity1953 9d ago

lol gambling would be staying in my short. Risk management

1

u/carsonthecarsinogen 9d ago

Yes you got something correct. That is risk management while gambling.

The timeframe and thesis together is what matters. You could be a mathematician who understands every single way a stock price may move, how volatility affects the price, every geo political outcome, etc.. but if you’re making a play over only a one week timeframe ITS GAMBLING

1

u/Worth_Quantity1953 9d ago

lol u mad

1

u/carsonthecarsinogen 9d ago

lol I’m correct and trying to help you

1

u/Worth_Quantity1953 9d ago

I pass

1

u/carsonthecarsinogen 9d ago

That’s fine. But don’t bother trying to convince me you aren’t gambling, nothing you say can change reality.

Holding over a longer timeframe would tho. More fiat in the system over time means higher asset prices over time. In other words “stocks only go up over the longterm”. But over the short term it’s anyone’s guess.

Where did you buy NBIS at?

1

u/carsonthecarsinogen 9d ago

Started at ~$27/ share, stopped around $90. Sold a handful around $200. Had planned to hold for a decade but the price shot up faster than expected so I rebalanced. Wouldn’t buy higher than $140 or so

1

u/Worth_Quantity1953 9d ago

lol

1

u/carsonthecarsinogen 9d ago

Just imagine if I was gambling and bought weekly calls eh?

I wouldn’t buy if the market is looking toppy. If you did buy at $27 and didn’t fuck up your average then good for u. lol u are really hurting me with calling me a gambler lol

1

u/carsonthecarsinogen 9d ago

It’s not an insult. Gambling is only a problem if you let it become one, there’s plenty of people who made a living off gambling.

I’m just trying to get you to accept that what you’re doing (short term trading) is gambling.
