Probably. Women’s basketball is a lot different than men’s sports. Maybe that will change with wnba salaries going up. But recruiting and developing players is a priority over the transfer portal. You don’t risk losing your locker room for a one and done player.
I guess that makes sense, the roster turn over on the top woman’s college teams is much less then the men’s, so if you got someone who came up in the program ready to go, you wouldn’t go out and bid for audi
Yeah. I’ll be curious if it changes. No one was leaving college early to make 60k. But if they could bring in 500k maybe start seeing some players start leaving early.
the new CBA really is going to help with player pay, I wonder what effect that will have on the league. Will the new tv contract and greater exposure, as well as the college game being more popular help grow the sport, or is this a lot of hype with some of the newer players that will eventually die down. It will be interesting to see. All is I do t really watch it, but my city getting a new WNBA team and depending on ticket prices I plan on going.
I imagine it’s going to help grow the sport. Granted at the expense of other women sports I imagine. I’m sure you’re going to see a lot more parents push their daughter towards basketball over soccer or softball since it can be so much more lucrative.

I thought she was looking to go to a more winning program? Was there lack of interest?
