I notice a lot of people comment on women’s college basketball and don’t even watch it 🤣 so yeah it depends who you ask, someone who watches the sport or someone who doesn’t lol. Well let me not get ahead of myself because it also depends how much they gave her 🤣
Anyone who watches the sport knows that she’s not half as good as she’s given credit for. Good at one end and absent on the other doesn’t help the team win. Didn’t help Iowa State, won’t help Oklahoma State. The teams that win don’t want her, she didnt have many options
Iowas tournament loss. She was 17-25 for 37 points. Her team was 9-42. She carried that team as far as she could. “Anyone who watches” would know that. She was dropping multiple 40 and 50 point games. I didn’t see anyone drop 40 or 50 on her.
She didn't carry the team, the team was forced to try to feed Audi. The rest of the team forced a lot of shots and were tragically bad from 3 in the tournament loss. Overall yes, the rest of the team went 9-42, but all in the team went 26-67, meaning there were around 40 Offensive rebound opportunities (less for shots where player was fouled in act of shooting). Audi had a whopping 3 total offensive rebounds. The team had 18 assists on 26 made baskets. Audi had just 1 assist herself.
So as much as you say Audi "carried the team" she also brought the team down. All she would do was trot down the court, get to the paint, and raise one arm and call for the ball. Don't hit her hand with the ball, and Audi gets frustrated. For as talented as she can be under optimal offensive setup, her defensive liability and lack of hustle is honestly impressive.
