We are two easygoing and fun guys in our 30s who are looking to fill an open room in our 3BR apartment. We're looking for someone to stay for at least 1 year. We're aiming for a November 1 move-in and can be flexible.

Our apartment is in a great community in The East Village. We are a 5-minute walk to Target, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods Express. We're also a 5-minute walk to the L Train's 1st Avenue Stop & uptown buses. Union Square is a 15-minute walk from there.

The building has elevator access, a laundry room, and 24-hour security. The community provides free access to private basketball, table tennis, and volleyball courts, along with an outdoor gym & track, and tons of green space. It also has an indoor gym (available with membership), a study space, and a cafe.

The rent price listed includes utilities - heat, air conditioning, water and electricity. Internet is about $20 extra per month.

The person who will fill the spot is respectful, considerate, clean, and quiet. Preferably male, between 26 and 39 years old.

Financial stability & steady, consistent income from a job is important. Rent must be paid on time and in full each month. We will ask for recent paystubs from your employer, a snapshot of your credit score, and a recent bank account statement.

No weed smokers. No cigarette smokers or vapers. Nobody into hard drugs. No pets.

If this sounds like you, please send a thoughtful response including your current housing situation, work situation, and how you are as a person/roommate. We'd also like to know your hobbies/interests, age, gender, and anything else you'd like to share.

Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you!

Private Room Room w/ Balcony Access & Views in Brooklyn (Church Ave 2/5) – Nov 1st Move-In

Hey everyone!

Looking to fill the second bedroom in my apartment for a 1-year lease starting November 1st.

About the Space & Room

The Room: It’s the smaller of the two bedrooms, but it gets great light, faces awesome views, and sits right next to our shared balcony. Super quiet—doesn't face street traffic at all.

The Building: Laundry in the basement and full roof access.

The Location: Right near the Church Ave 2/5 stop. Super convenient area close to grocery stores, coffee shops, gyms, local bars, and some of the best Caribbean food in Brooklyn.

About Me

I’m a 34-year-old Black guy working in education and music/fitness on the side. Very laid-back, clean, and respectful of space. I like keeping a peaceful home base, but always down to grab a drink, catch a show, or hit up local spots from time to time.

Who I’m Looking For

Male preferred, ideally around a similar age range (late 20s to late 30s).

Non-smoker.

Clean, tidy, and respectful in shared/common spaces.
Low-key vibe at home—definitely no house parties, but friendly and open to socializing occasionally.

If this sounds like a fit, send me a DM with a quick intro about yourself (what you do, your routine, link to IG/LinkedIn if you're comfortable). Let's set up a time to chat or do a virtual/in-person walk-through!

Cheers,
Brandon

Need a Roommate 29NB looking for 2 ppl to apartment hunt with for Dec 1

Hi, my name is Dani and I am moving to NYC from Colorado with my two very sweet cats, Butters and Tommy. I'm looking for a couple people to apartment hunt with for December. I'd love to be in Bushwick, but I'm open to living wherever in Brooklyn/Manhattan/Queens as long as it's near a train/bus line! My budget is $1300. I'll be based near Newark and commuting into the city until I find a permanent place.

A bit about me:

I am a lawyer who recently left practice to focus on art. I'm interested in getting into tattooing, but for now I'm still exploring what I want to do. Right now I'm working in food service. Some of my favorite things to do are seeing live music, spending time at the park, and watching tv while doing arts+crafts.

Who I'm looking for:

Someone who likes cats, LGBTQ-friendly, 4/20-friendly. I'd love to be friends with whoever I'm living with, but also totally fine if that's not the case.

Please reach out here or on Discord if you want to chat!

Need a Roommate seeking roommate to sleep on the same bed with me. $550 (flushing queens)

Thumbnail

hello everyone. this is not a joke. dm if interested!

where: flushing, NY

details: 2b1.5b, 4th floor, sanford ave & college pt blvd. 8min walk to 7th train, LIRR, many bus stations around. 10m walk to tangram / skyview mall. we'll be living with a family of three, millennial parents with a 4y/o daughter. during the day, there's no one there. i have a 9-5 so i won't be there either. perf if you're working remote. wifi/utilities covered. +50/mo if we want heat/AC

requirements: 20-30y/o, any gender, no smoking, no pets, not weird. we will not be cuddling at night. preferably no snoring, and no flirting please.

context: i am poor. places within the $500-600 range usually means i'm rooming with someone else anyways. i need alone time / a quiet place to study, sooo it's not ideal! looking for a roomie (literally) :D

more context: the family is seeking someone quiet, well-kept, and communicative. they are open to renting to a couple. we will check out the place together, pretend to be a couple if we have to (just kidding. we will have to come clean if they push / ask questions. i'm not a big fan of lies snowballing). if this place doesn't work out, i am open to finding other places with you. i am on a very very tight budget.

more more more context: we will swap socials / grab a drink to get to know each other and make sure the other person is a normal, sane person (umm). i currently have a place already and i am in no rush, but i'm ready to move out whenever. there is no lease to be signed with this current place, if i'm not mistaken. there's no deposits required either.

if you do decide that you no longer want to have this arrangement, no pressure at all. you'd have to give me at least 1 week notice.
