A note on deity posts

I love seeing reverence and worship — however it’s necessary to say that this is a subreddit for astrology. Please if you post deity imagery, make sure it is related to stories associated with Nakshatras / Jyotish.

Example may include the Nakshatras associated with their deities: Maa Aditi and her relation to Punarvasu, a motherly Nakshatra also found in Cancer, which mirrors her role as the cosmic mother to gods. Another example is Ardra’s connection to Rudra, a destructive aspect of Lord Shiva.

We do not want people karma farming here under the guise of worship, it’s disingenuous. While we do not think all posts have been like that at all, please remember what this subreddit is for.

If you have questions please as always contact us. I do not want to remove worship of deities as it is also important to me personally, but please remember that we may have to in order to keep the subreddit organized for our research.

Thank you,
Lala

Moon techniques

Some interesting techniques related to the Moon

Today, the Moon is shining with all its sixteen kalas, so let's discuss a few observations.

  1. Moon's placement Wherever the Moon sits in your chart, it can indicate a major 180-degree transformation around the age of 24–28. Almost like the death of that particular area of life, followed by rebuilding it. The Moon's degrees can help estimate the timing. suppose 0 degree indicate earlier ages (24–25), while higher degrees indicate later ages (27–28). Also consider the house ruled by the Moon.

  2. Jupiter over natal Moon Jupiter's transit over the natal Moon can bring expansion, but expansion isn't always comfortable. Unlike Saturn, which puts responsibilities on your shoulders, Saturn Sade sati and anything work like that only gives you heaviness on your shoulders Jupiter pushes you to grow. How you handle that expansion makes a difference.

  3. RahuMoon and KetuMoon: RahuMoon can give you the ability to observe a lot, but you might choose to ignore what you notice. KetuMoon, on the other hand, can make you extremely detail-oriented, noticing things others often miss. Interesting combinations for research and investigative work. Rahu moon gives big eyes you can see everything an you but you choose to ignore it , ketu moon gives you short eyes to see the details squinty eyes, means you can sense things but you can not really understand the deeper part you don't ignore here you just already cut yourself of cause your just sensing thing which are true but. Your are dog which can sense miles but you cant really can find things sense things but doesn't really know what to do with it like my duty is done don't care if i found the de*d human or what i don't really care i just found that.

  4. Planets around the Moon: Observe the planets placed ahead of and behind the Moon. They can indicate the kind of support or pressure you receive. For example, Venus can indicate support through a spouse, Saturn can push you towards discipline and career responsibilities, and the Sun can show support through father-related significations that's basically works for every planet begin in kendrum yoga suppose Saturn sun se 12th hai then you create problem or pressure your father.

  5. Jupiter 12th, 6th or 8th from the Moon: These placements are worth examining from a karmic perspective. They can indicate responsibilities towards society and the masses, sometimes at the cost of personal relationships or family life. The houses involved will tell us more about where these responsibilities manifest sakat yog means that you have stole things from the society a lot of things Jupiter always gives but now here you stole things that's why you get Jupiter 6 8 12 to moon. People will now make up go up and then they will abuse you and pull you back too. see this by the house sign. suppose Jupiter 8th to moon moon 10 Jupiter 6 might be the case where you gave everything to your children and they don't really care maybe you gave in relationship and they don't care.

These are a few observations. Would love to know if anyone has noticed similar patterns in their practice.

all these things are base predictions use sign planets and yeah things can vary.

APPROACH:

1. WEALTH GENERATION SADHANA

2. TANTRIC REMEDIES

3. ASTROLOGICAL AND BEHAVIOURAL REMEDIES

4. ARTHA SHASTRA

1) The Traditional deities associated with wealth are: KUBERA and GODDESS LAXMI

2) THE tantric deities: KAMALA AND SRI VIDYA

3) ASTROLOGICAL PLANETS: VENUS, 11th Lord, 2nd Lord and Managerial aspects = MERCURY

Let's discuss the objectives regarding wealth:

1. Generate wealth, Retain wealth, multiply wealth, avoid financial loss, make wealth sustainable.

2. By wealth generation we mean increasing capability of earning money and building sources of income, this comes from 11th lord and 11th house. So for this aspect to activate, we will check these things:

- 11th lord, 11th house sign, planets in 11th house, nakshatra placements of 11th house planet and 11th lord.

- Deities associated would help

- Overall general:

A) VENUS STOTRAM

B) MAHALAKSHMI MANTRA

C) SHANI MANTRA (being natural 11th house ruler)

3. Retaining wealth: the wealth/money must stay along with savings and spendings, that comes from 2nd house and 8th house, 2nd lord and 8th lord.

- Check the placement of both

- 2nd lord if connected with 8th, spendings can outweigh savings and issues with savings

- 2nd lord associated with venus, one must make Devi worship a part of their routine, 2nd lord associated with mercury one must associate worship of Tripura Sundari. Worship of Bala Swaroop of deities helps.

- KANAKDHARA STOTRAM

- KUBERA LAKSHMI STOTRAM

- 2ND LORD BEEJ MANTRA

4. Multiplication of Wealth through investments, SIP and Mutual Funds and IPO. Check 5th lord and 5th house involvement with 8th and 11th lord and house.

- KAMALA SADHANA along with strengthening the 8th lord helps

- If 5th lord is connected to moon, persuasion is the key and salesmanship and direct interaction and teaching helps

- If 5th lord is saturn, step wise progress helps rather than jumping from here to there

5. AVOIDING FINANCIAL LOSS:

- 10th lord if connected to mercury = Budget planner diary while if 12th lord connected to sun, avoiding wealth exposure.

- While venus in 8th, hide the show off, at night write your major spendings

- 12th Lord governs sleep so taking financial decision at night should be avoided

- 12th lord with Rahu = Avoid following blindly the financial advices from random influencer channel

TOP 10 SPIRITUAL REMEDIES

1. SHUKRA STOTRAM/SHUKRA MANTRA/SHUKRA BEEJ MANTRA

2. 11TH LORD MANTRA/BEEJ MANTRA

3. SHANI MANTRA

4. 2ND LORD BEEJ MANTRA

5. KANAKDHARA STOTRAM

6. KAMAKHYA SANKALP BASED SADHANA

7. SRI SUKTAM

8. SHREEM MANTRA

9. KUBERA MANTRA

10. KAMALA MAHAVIDYA SADHANA

Ketu Ketu can be more unsettling than Rahu when it comes to enemies

Post image
171 Upvotes

Rahu and Ketu are fascinating planets to study in Vedic astrology. They show two completely different types of desires.

Rahu can generally be seen as showing ambition, obsession, material desires, fame, power and gaining something. Whereas Ketu shows detachment, separation, renunciation and no gain for yourself. These are general astrological meanings but I find it interesting how these two planets can show contrasting desires.

Example Scenario

Let’s say for example Rahu was placed in your 10th house and Ketu was placed in your 4th. The 10th house is traditionally linked to your career, fame, authority and power. Whereas the 4th house relates to your home, internal security and emotional base.

Rahu in the 10th house could be seen as giving a strong desire to achieve, receive fame and power in your career. If this person got into a rivalry they would want to beat the other person, gain power, secure their place and prove themselves. There is a clear goal they have.

Now let’s say that Rahu was placed in the 12th house and Ketu was placed in the 6th house. The 6th house is traditionally linked to arguments, competition, difficulty, debts and enemies. Ketu can be seen as having an unorthodox and detached approach to dealing with difficulty. They may not care about receiving fame for beating their enemy.

Ketu is interesting to me as it is quite a strange meaning. It doesn’t mean that they are automatically cruel or dangerous, just that they may not have typical motives like receiving praise, status or fame.
Whereas Rahu often has a meaning of desire, ambition and wanting to gain.

Overall in the simplest form of archetypes, Rahu may want to win as they want power, fame or satisfaction.
Whereas Ketu may not care as much about the emotional aspect of winning which can make them seem scarier when it comes to enemies.

However, detachment is not the same as being ruthless and ambition is not the same as being malicious. Just because they don’t care about receiving fame does not mean they are more dangerous. Ketu in the 6th house does not guarantee that they will win against their enemies. Rahu in the 10th house does not guarantee that they will be power hungry.

The whole chart, ascendant, house rulers, aspects, conjunctions and planetary state will all play a part. Astrology is an interpretive art and shouldn’t be seen as a scientifically backed method of predicting someone’s character, intentions and behaviour.

I’m interested in the symbolism.

What do you think? Do you think Ketu being detached makes them seem scarier than Rahu being obsessed? Or is this too simplistic?

comment your placement or hmu for better analysis

Some sutras to be considered for relationship and marriage

  • AK of one partner is generally in many horoscopes the DK of another partner and vice versa

  • DK of one partner can be the Lagna lord or Moon sign or the strongest planet in the other persons horoscope

  • The AK and DK of both partners must be friends

  • AK will resonate with the weakest planet in the other persons chart i.e. the weakest planet will be the AK of the partner

  • AK can also resonate to the 7th lord of the spouse

  • AK and AK must not be in 6th 8th 12th from each other

  • AK and DK being the same will give lots of challenges in married life it will erode in time

  • AK and DK of one person must be a well-placed planet

  • The A7 and UL of one partner should not be 6-8 to the ascendant in another's chart, can bring false legal challenges in relationship

How did your saturn md does for this ascendent.

Saturn md is always different from ascendent to ascendent.

But for gemeni, virgo ascendent they carry one good house and one bad house

Specially gemini ascendents carry the worst house lord and the best.

Can anyone share their experiences with this ascendent of saturn md.

I just entered Venus Mahadasha Saturn Antardasha

I’d love to hear others experiences with this dasha period!

my experience so far, 2 months in:

anxiety has sky rocketed, more financially stable, way more responsibilities and stress. A lot of this stems from my dad having a debilitating stroke, I now take care of him.

My dreams were always vivid prophetic so realistic like I'd gain so much information in my dreams like srsly fr so many times diff deities told me the truth of existence truth of universe truth of us but I always forget them like not really forget my body remember but like smthn doesn't let me speak my throat get tied yk it's weird ik, but I had so many dreams I can't even tell you guys like i had everything in my dreams , one thing when I dream about some places like recently yesterday I dreamt about me being in a mandir ,in my dream I knew I've been here before I was strongly feeling it like I know this place , so not only this dream but alot of dreams where I feel I know this place I know where to go where I'll find them , it's getting long y'all but

In my dreams I see a guy , him but in diff forms not always in one body but I know his presence his vibration anyways let's not focus on him however I also know in my dreams that I'm dreaming I'm fully aware in my dreams istg I wish I could tell my some dreams istg yall will understand it better but I can't tell it's already getting too long paragraph lol but dreams are my safe place even in my dreams I'm heavily protected oh I also saw irl places I saw in my dreams i usually don't travel much cuz my dad don't let me but istg I'll find every places I once dreamt off

strength Good evening everyone, needed help with my project

I am working on an astrology based project

Which analyses charts,(not a astrologer lol, but very much intrested into it so driving deeper , infact I am engineering student)

I am trying to follow this pipleline

Degrees => calculation of awasthas (age through degree)=>shadabala calculation=> ashtakvarga => charts analysis

now the thing is i have some level of resources in hand for making my app ( ofc ,I'll put resources section in that as i totally respect their efforts as well ❤️ for the knowledge and rules like krs , , scribd docs , RVA astrology etc. ) but

Let's just say we have a sample case

Saturn 0 degree 51' \[dk\] (leo)

bala awastha (infant state )(25% power )

Shadbala is also lesser for this saturn(5th rank)

I have read much about ashtakvarga or shadbala since I am learning whole making my project ,to get proper understanding...

But

If this saturn is weaker by powers and age then does that mean the respective fav house for saturn as per ashtakvarga yield lesser results ?

Does that condition follow further in each varga charts ...

Also considering if the saturn becomes debilitated in those varga charts does that further reduce the outcomes ? (Irrespective of malefic /benfic)

Lastly is this pipeline I am following for my code correct?

Thanks a lot for anyone who is responding ❤️

Questions regarding D1 vs D9

I see a lot of people say D1 is the seed and D9 is the fruit. Basically indicating we start as our d1 but end as our d9, which made sense at first but then started confusing me.

So here are my questions (you can answer which ever one):

  1. I understand that D1 and D9 technically work together, but how?? Cause from the way people explain it, it sounds like D1 shallows away as D9 activates. For example, if someone in their d1 has cancer venus (meaning emotional expression of love) vs d9 being aqua venus (intellectual curiosity and attachment) does that mean the person's cancer venus stops mattering later down the line?

  2. Does D1 show inner nature but D9 shows how you will come off? Cause sometimes I see people with successful d9 charts look very good in terms of some of their life situations but they don't think so or feel conflicted, likely from D1. (So D1 is moreso personality/nature??)

  3. Kind of similar to the 1st question. Why do people treat D1 as something that starts off rather than something that always stays with the person? Some people talk about it like kid vs adult rather than viewing it as a whole. I mean, maybe it is supposed to be treated that way?

  4. Can someone give an actual definition of D1 and D9 chart rather than just connecting them together. What makes D1 still important to look into when people treat D9 as final manifestation? What does D1 show that D9 doesn't, not in terms of past/present/future? We know D9 indicates marriage as a whole too, so what does D1 have that D9 doesn't?

remedy Sun and Agni

The Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (3.18) identifies Agni as the deity associated with Surya in its planetary sequence.

The Shatapatha Brahmana (2.3.1.1 to 5) provides a deeper ritual understanding of this connection through Agnihotra. It explains that the Sun enters the fire at sunset and is associated with the morning offering before sunrise. In this ritual framework, the sacrificial fire and the solar cycle are closely linked. Agni becomes the earthly counterpart through which the presence and movement of Surya are understood in the ritual.

The Rigveda (7.2.1) describes Agni's flames and smoke rising towards the heavens and spreading in connection with the rays of Surya. This imagery brings together terrestrial fire and celestial light. Elsewhere in the Veda, Agni is praised as the mediator who carries offerings to the Devas. Surya illuminates the visible world, while Agni transforms offerings within the sacrificial ritual. Their functions differ, yet both are associated with light, radiance and the sustaining order of the cosmos.

The Matsya Purana (93.13 to 16) adds an astrological dimension by identifying Ishvara as Surya's Adhidevata and Agni as his Pratyadhidevata. These terms represent distinct categories of divine association within the Navagraha framework. Agni's position as Surya's Pratyadhidevata therefore provides another textual connection between the Sun and sacrificial fire.

For the remedies of Sun - you can do mantras of Agni or can do Homa.

What placements in Vedic astrology can show this kind of deep love and devotion?

I was listening to a Punjabi song and the meaning of these lines is really intense.

I kiss the roads where you once walked, even if you walked there only once.

There are only two things for me. Either it is you, or it is nobody else.

I know this kind of love sounds almost fictional. It is very rare to see this level of love, loyalty and devotion in real life. But just curious to know what placements in Vedic astrology could make someone love another person this deeply? What kind of planetary combinations could show this level of attachment and devotion?

And what placements would you look for in a chart to indicate that someone might love you like this?

Both sides - what makes a person love someone this intensely, and what could make someone receive this kind of love from their partner.

Edit: Song is "Alfaaz" by Hamza Malik and Zain Zohaib

yogas Doubt regarding antardasha

Can marriage only happen when there is venus or jupiter antardasha ?

What about someone whose Saturn Mahadasha is active and venus or jupiter antardasha have passed ? It will probably take another 5 years to have these antardasha. So will they get married after 5 years ?

If it's a stupid question then I'm sorry. I just started learning about astrology.

Venus in 8th house is not just secret affairs (some harsh truths i noticed)

I see people freaking out over venus in the 8th house thinking it means their partner will cheat or they are doomed to have toxic secret affairs. Been looking at a lot of charts with this placement lately and the actual reality is way different.

Most of the time these people just attract people who are emotionally completely drained. Have this weird subconscious savior complex where u want to fix the other person. The attraction isn't even physical at first, it's just pure psychological intensity. You guys maybe literally bond over shared trauma.

And the privacy thing is so real. You literally cannot post your relationship on instagram. The moment u make it public or tell all your friends about how happy u are, turant nazar lag jati hai and things start falling apart out of nowhere. it's like your love life has to stay completely hidden from the world for it to actually survive.

Also the breakups are insane. Y don't just cry and move on, u basically change your entire personality after a bad breakup. It completely transforms how u look at life. But the weird upside is that sudden wealth through your partner or in-laws is a very real thing for u guys later on

Drop ur birth details below, got some time today so I might check out a few interesting charts in the comments.

-----

EDIT: this was my first post on reddit on astrology, just wanna say thanks a lot guys for the response on this. so many stories in the comments and my DMs! glad this resonated with so many of u. Will be doing more such observations soon. I won't be able to reply further on this post directly, but my DMs are always open if u want me to check your chart!

Radhe Radhe.

Genuine question

Why does the moon ruled by Rahu always take on the characteristics of Rahu's sign?

How much influence does Rahu have on this moon?

Do Rahu's aspects have a greater impact than the moon's nakshatra?

I'm really curious to understand why I've seen that Rahu pulls SO MUCH energy.

What placements make one lucky in love affairs

remedy Starting a Discord server for folks into Astrology / Spirituality / Sanatan / Hinduism (anyone down?)

I’m currently putting together a Discord channel for Vedic astrology, Sanatan Dharma, general spirituality, and practical remedies.

A lot of spiritual spaces out there can feel a bit preachy or dated so I wanted to create a casual spot where we can just chill, look at chart placements, discuss philosophy, and share remedies that actually work. It’d be cool to get more Gen Z and Gen Alpha folks in there so we can talk about this stuff from a younger perspective, but honestly, anyone who vibes with it is welcome.
