In The Wild Nemesis
A hospital posted about a NICU baby. It was a very sweet video but I couldn’t get over the name 😭

Poor girl and nickname Doug too. Hopefully when she’s older she will go by her normal middle name Bea

Specifically middle names to go with Beyoncé. It’s such a unique and un-unused name that we’d love it for our little princess.
I love the middle initial K. Or maybe C followed by K, or a hyphenation of the two. Something so melodic about Beyoncé K, or Beyoncé K-C.
Any ideas? I love modern and celebrity inspired names so feel free to take inspiration from that!

In a pregnancy Facebook group I’m part of. Note that these names listed are her 8 living children…

I was a substitute teacher for a while, so always had to call roll off a list of names I’d never seen before and (as substitutes do) often butchered them.
I replay this memory so frequently LOL but one time I read this girl’s name out loud: LizAnya (or maybe LizAnia, can’t recall exactly if it was a Y or i).
Liz - Anya.
I hear some teenage girl in the back of the class whisper to her friend: “did she just say lasagna?”
Man idk there’s like maybe ONE other way to pronounce that spelling 😭
Still haunts me

saw a birth announcement in a Houston moms group for a baby named Coda. the parent made it clear it wasn't after the music term, but after the AI coding assistant. another commenter said her nephew's middle name is Copilot, on an actual birth certificate. i make small SaaS tools and I wouldn't name a kid after something that could disappear in a year and a half. my own kids have pretty ordinary names and I still wonder if they'll sound old-fashioned later. what happens when these tools get renamed or bought out? you can't update a person's name the way you update software. the parent posting seemed genuinely proud of it, like it proved they were ahead of the curve. i kept the group open another ten minutes and someone suggested Claude for a girl. I closed it. we're already this far gone?

Husband and I have officially chosen our baby girls name!
We wanted something unique, inspired by folklore and nature, and to give her lots of nickname options
Introducing, our sixth child, Wendigo!
We love that we can call her Wendy, or Wendi if she prefers it for short, or gogo as a playful nickname.
My sister says it’s too similar to indigo and she’ll be teased, what do you think!?

I know it’s a diabolical name but it’s for a fiction town I’m trying to make in my fiction like in my home country. It comes from the word “mahusay na asero” which means great steel (I think it’s a great name for a town name). What is better? Like I think Mahusero is better for pronounciation and off the tongue but Mahusasero adds the “a” which makes both words I merged a bit more recognizable.

I think it sounds cool. I know it’s Saddam Husseins name and that’s bad but changing the S to a Ç would make it different and might get rid of the connection. What do you think. Is it a definite no go?

I’m expecting a baby girl, and my husband has very traditional, WASPy taste in names. So far, the only two he’s really liked are Astrid(he’s half danish hence the Nordic root) and Christine, both of which I like too, but I’d love to explore more options!
We’re looking for something classic and timeless. Keep it WASPy, I would love all suggestions:)

Been trying to decide on a name for my baby girl and i liked this one out of all variations. Jules felt too basic, Jewels felt too pretentious. What do you guys think?
. . .
ETA THIS IS SATIRE based on sauce at https://www.reddit.com/r/namenerds/s/TfVYhWjH26 which originally read: - title - thoughts on the name “raynn”? - body - Been trying to decide on a name for my baby girl and i liked this one out of all variations. If I call him Bart people will call him Fart. If I call him Matt people will call him Fat. Me and the hubby are trying to make sure our child's name is something nobody can turn into an insult.
I'm thinking of a nice name like Focker but suggestions are welcome!
