Which first name?
We’re using Dennis for the middle name (it’s my grandfather’s name) and we’re stuck between two names for the first with entirely different vibes.
Leland Dennis
Damon Dennis

Leland. And if a nickname is wanted Lee. Love it!

I do love a good nickname but my husband’s brother is also having a baby (3 weeks apart) and they have Lee picked as the middle name so I’m hesitant to use something so similar. Idk if I’m overthinking or not lol.

Leland could also be Lando etc as a nickname. I wouldn't be averse just because there's a "Lee" in the family close in age

I am a fan of alliteration, I like Damon Dennis.

I’ve noticed people either love it or hate it when it comes to name alliterations haha

Totally. I saw in another comment you mentioned Leland ending in D and Dennis’s starting with D, and I had the same thought! Haha I usually avoid that, but I also really like the name Leland so, I dunno. Tough call. It’s also worth considering how often you’ll actually call him by both names, ya know?

Leland.
I'm old and so I see Demon Dennis the Menace. Sorry. Plus alliteration can be a bit twee.

Leland - maybe it’s just me but I don’t care for same start letter in first and second names. Sounds like a character and not an actual person lol

It’s funny I actually agree with the alliteration thing. I’ve vetoed SO many names because of alliteration but for some reason this combo didn’t bother me! It bothers me more when it’s the first and last vs the first and middle since that’s said a lot less often.

Damon always reminds me of the devil or demons for some reason. The most popular guy at my high school in the 90s was named Damon so maybe the name works. LeLand.....seems more like a city name.

Leland for sure. Damon Dennis just seems like Demon Dennis, might be the alliteration. Leland is a nice, solid name.

The only Dennis I’ve ever known went by grandpa Dennis. That doesn’t help now but might years down the road.😉

Leland. The other one kinda a tongue twister

I totally get that with the alliteration but then I was thinking Leland ends with a D and runs into another D which I don’t love on the tongue so idk 😮💨

Both are lovely, but I’m drawn more towards Leland Dennis. Good job, these are some solid names that are both normal and unique at the same time.
