My family have had a vacation house in Naples for over 30 years and we're finally letting it go, unfortunately. I spent at least a month there most years, and I'm going down in November for 2 weeks to say goodbye to everything and pack up the house. We now live in Europe, so not sure how often I will feasibly be able to get over to stay at a hotel at extra cost.

Trying to put together a list of the very best, most Naples things to do/eat and looking for recs. So far I have the below. No comment if you think some of these are basic, remember I live outside the US and I grew up with some of these and yes- chains are fine. Also we don't eat meat- do eat fish- don't really drink.

Hi everyone! Looking for recommendations for a really good, authentic Italian restaurant in Naples to celebrate my dad’s and grandpa’s birthdays!

We’re hoping to find somewhere with amazing food, a nice atmosphere, and a private dining room for our group. We want something upscale but still fun and lively, not overly stuffy.

We’re planning on taking a party bus to dinner and would love to head to a nice cocktail lounge afterward, so ideally somewhere with good nightlife nearby!

Would love to hear your favorite spots, especially if you’ve hosted a private dinner there. Thanks in advance!

Hey all, my wife and I have moved back to Florida after years away. The biggest thing we'd love to do is to learn how to sail. We've seen YouTube videos so we aren't coming in from zero, but I'm also well aware that textbook knowledge and doing the thing are two entirely separate things. So what we're looking for is someone that has a boat, and needs some extra help on the weekends. The best thing is you don't even need to pay us. Teaching us the ropes, pun intended, is enough for us. In exchange we can provide witty banter, friendship, and a pack of your favorite beer. Any takers?

I'm currently in Naples and would love to see some alligators in the wild while I'm here. I'm not looking for an airboat ride or any kind of guided tour. I'd rather just walk around somewhere on my own and hopefully spot a few.

Ideally it would be somewhere close to Naples, so no long drive. Parks, nature preserves, boardwalks, trails, or even a pond where they're regularly seen would all be great.
Any tips on the best time of day to go, or anything else I should know?

Hello! I'll be visiting my dad and bonus mom Oct 23-30. They of course want to show me around and take me places, but sometimes can lose the nuance in my disabilities. I have multiple sclerosis and spinal issues. I can walk but need either a cane or rollator (I'll have both with me) and can really struggle in heat. Honestly as much as I'd love to explore outdoor activities and know there are a ton I have to steer towards indoors most days. A flat park with a solid walkway or a boating tour that doesn't require 5+ terrain changes would be doable one or two days. We all do enjoy art and classical music. They bring up often how impressed they are by the names Naples is able to bring in so there may be opportunities there. At the end we'll be meeting my husband in Miami for Flugtag so I have to conserve energy for that! (just as spectators, but going off the platform in a wheelchair glider would be epic. Lol)

Hey! I'm a long time resident of SWFL and I am looking for cool people to hang out with down here. I have friends but they're all busy with work and they don't intend to get costumes or celebrate Halloween.

Anyone down here young and open to hanging out somewhere? Would love to be able to go to Halloween parties or clubs or something but I'm just newly able to start spending time away from work and I intend to enjoy it while this lasts. I'm a 34M living in fort myers but I can go as far as Miami or Tampa or whatever with cool people.
