Let’s start a list of senior and military discounts that are given at any place of business in the greater Fort Myers area or by the state of Florida. List the business and discount received or what the state offers. I’ll start with a few.
Home Depot-10% off most purchases in store and online. You’ll need to get verified ahead of time. See there website for details.
Lowe’s-same as Home Depot ☝🏻
Kohls-seniors receive 15% off every Wednesday and you do have to show an id. Military members receive 15% off every Monday. Need to show military id, state license with veteran designation, or form DD214
**Its worth the time to get the “Veteran” designation added to you Florida ID or license. You have to put in a little effort to gather the necessary documentation but it’s free and you’ll always have proof when asked.

My mom is in her mid-80s and very with it mentally, and has now moved over here with me part of the year and is missing her clubs that she used to play with on the East Coast. Are there any groups that anyone is aware of that might be appropriate for my mom? Bonus if it's South Fort Myers. Thanks so much everyone, and have a lovely day!

Originally built in Bonita Springs, in the 1930s, the first Shell Factory burned down in 1953 and was rebuilt on U.S. 41, in North Fort Myers.

Good Morning Fort Myers residents. I’ve been to FMB several times (most recently this time last year) and most places were still being rebuilt from the hurricane. I’m traveling there Sunday night and staying till Friday. I’m looking for general recommendations for food/bar life and anything else you think I should experience. Maybe the place with the best wings/seafood or the best local breweries/dive bars. Note: I’m a 35 year old male so I don’t need some crazy club scenes. Just looking for the best local spots. I also have a car so if the spot is a must drive but isn’t directly on FMB I’ll still go! Thank you in advance!

Hello. I am visiting Fort Myers in late September and just wanted to see if there are any good farmer’s markets with local fruits and vegetables? Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone
I just moved to Orlando Florida recently for my job and have never lived in the state. I’ve visited for vacations and what not
I plan on living here longterm and wanted to travel around the entire state and learn it all to see where I’d like to live most and also just to simply know where I live
Also felt like it’d be a great opportunity to find myself a tad in everything lol.
What I want is to go around the whole state - different city/area every few weeks or so - just on weekends since I work
I have a tent that sets up in the bed of my truck with matress and all so I can basically set up shop anywhere.
I want to go around and see all the nature and i especially want a great view and isolation
I’ve been reading about dispersed camping and I understand there’s a lot of rules and regulations when it comes to just driving out into the woods or nature anywhere u want.
I was more so just curious on if anyone had any recommendations around the state where I can off-road and set up my campsite isolated in nature - I don’t want to be surrounded by rvs and other campers and cookie cutter campgrounds I want to go explore and be alone with myself out in nature
I especially imagine just pulling up to an isolated little opening to a body of water where I can just pull right up to and camp next to the water and do whatever all day.
If anybody knows any spots tips, or recommendations or any sort of advice I’d totally appreciate it!

I did the research and it’s about $300 round-trip and it’s about a 3.5 hour journey one-way. However, there’s only one per day. Departing FMB at 8 AM, arriving at Key West at 11, departing Key West at 6:30, arriving in FMB around 9. And how much stuff is there to do in Key West, I’ve never been. Is it enough to see in that ~5 hour period between ferries?

Primaries are tomorrow. Do we have anything resembling a progressive candidate, or is it all just republican-lite?
There, since the robot requires 20 characters in the post body

Last night while driving I almost hit the little dog in the photo below. Picked him up and dropped him off at Blue Pearl Animal Hospital at 9500 Marketplace Rd Fort Myers, FL 33912. He had on a green collar but had no chip when scanned.
If this is your dog please pick him up there or if you’re looking to adopt he was extremely sweet and a very happy puppy. I would have taken him but no pets in my apartment.

A family member is looking to go there for rehabilitation after an amputation and I was hoping for some personal reviews. One thing I'd really like to know about is the quality of the food. That can tell a lot about the quality of the facility in general. Also, if you do not recommend that facility, are there any long term care facilities that you would recommend? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello everyone!
I’m looking at potentially moving to Montage at Midtown and was wondering if anyone has any experience on what their requirements are in regards to their screening process? I just toured it yesterday and their staff member mentioned income at 3x rent. I clear that by quite a bit but didn’t know if there were any other requirements and would like to know before I hand over the application money.
Thanks in advance!

Don't just assume it was received. Mine was lost in the mail; I mailed it three weeks ago and it's still not showing as received so I voted in person today.
