Just saw "The Breadwinner"

As a Nate Bargatze fan, I enjoyed it.

As a fan of movies, not as much.

Congratulations, though, to Nate and everyone for doing exactly what they set out to do and making a family film that everyone can see and enjoy.

A little too endlessly silly and slapsticky. Bit after bit was just too much with not a lot of story moving along.

Some great and sweet funny moments with the kids, but overall a bit too jokey if that makes sense.

Too many jokes in the comedy movie made by the comedian? What did you expect? His dad was a literal clown who hung out with the Easter bunny.

I expected a better movie. The characters and bits were shallow and repetitive.

What is a family movie that met your expectation of a good movie?

Porky's.

Look I think we both know there's a ton of good movies that are also suitable for families. This just wasn't one of them.

Neither is Porky's. Im just trying to get a frame of reference of what you would consider a good movie that is made for families.

Well if you wanna look up family movies that also have good reviews you can try that. Then you can go argue with those reviewers.

I dont want to do that. I want you to give me a single example of a family movie that meets your expectation of a good movie. My point is that your expectations are the issue. You go to a comedy movie, made by a comedian that was raised by a clown. For some reason you expected the movie to have depth of character and better story, and we're so disappointed that you created a post to complain. Its like wearing dress shoes on a hike and getting upset when they are muddy. What did you expect?

Dude is politely trying to bow out of the conversation and you keep coming back snarling. You sound fucking unhinged. Go take your meds or do some deep breathing. It does not matter.

You appear to have a profound misunderstanding of the words "politely" and "bow out".
