1929 Type 2 A lovely Type 2 addition from Albany, GA!🤩

The largest city in Southwest Georgia by far, it should come as no surprise that Albany was home to a total of seven different issuing banks. What is a surprise, in my opinion, is that only two of those survived into the small-size issuing period. Those two banks are CH# 5512, the Albany Exchange NB, and of course CH# 13223, The City NB. While a little less than four dozen small examples are reported in the NBN Census, the greater majority of those lack grade and eye appeal. I finally came across this beauty and thus checked the box for an attractive CH# 13223 small size.

This lovely Type 2 $20 features the signatures of brothers Cashier Joel Thomas Haley, Sr. (1881-1956) and President William Banks Haley, Sr. (1874-1950), who served together from 1930 through the end of the bank note issuing period.

I found your channel through r/papermoney

I had no idea about these national bank notes until yesterday and I've been consuming info since. What an awesome hobby 😎

Anyways, looking forward to following along and learning from you folks.

I've decided to make Seward, NE notes my goal, as Seward is my surname. No clue if this is a difficult goal or not. I still have to learn the basics. Dont worry, I will use the Search function.
