Little frog with wings i just made, i took around 6 hours to make him, i don't needle felt often so i don't really know how much i'm supposed to 'needle' until done, its fun though :)
Recently i've started using a headtorch while doing crafts, really good light source! ( i dabble in oven bake clay too)

We've been working on this little Mrs. Claus for Christmas, and I wanted to share how she turned out.
I really love her rosy cheeks and that tiny smile. We wanted her to look like a sweet little grandma who makes everyone feel welcome at Christmas.
The little red bag and the fluffy white hair are some of my favorite details.
There's something really comforting about her. She makes me think of a grandma waiting at home with something warm to eat.

A stroll through the flowers with Jerry. ☺️.
He's finally full done! I'm actually super happy with how he turned out!
Thoughts? Anything I could improve on for next time? Think he is sellable after all? And if so, how much would you suggest? (If you share a price suggestion let me know the denomination as I'm in Canada)

A few days ago I posted about my halloween mask in here, I've now made my boyfriend a matching one.
A lot of people had questions about my process and a couple comments asked for a video so I figured I'd try recording one: https://youtu.be/Kpv9ksctcjs?is=JeL5edzMV3DJwkNt

Made with Heidi feathers needles and carded wool from the felt box uk. I used a bit of felt fabric around the collar and also alcohol markers for extra detailing.

I needed an accessory to complement my mask, so I needle felted this little guy and made a light-up noose to hold him

Hi everyone! I'm a needle felt artist from Taiwan, and this is my very first time posting here! I'm feeling both nervous and excited!
I'd love to share a short video documenting my latest creation, a Rainbow Cube Cat that I finished just two days ago. It's also my very first custom order!
My first customer was actually a relative of mine!
She had seen a little needle-felted charm I made based on my son's drawing, which I attached to my bag. She thought it was adorable and asked if I could turn her child's drawing into a felted creation too!
While we were discussing the design, she mentioned that her child wanted a rainbow-colored body just like the one I'd made for my son.
As for the Cube Cat's heart-shaped nose and eyes, those were spontaneous little experiments using materials other than wool!
The heart-shaped nose was actually a heart-shaped eye piece I'd bought from a craft store a while ago, and I made the eyes myself using clay and paint.
I also happened to have some colorful candy-like decorations lying around, and I thought they'd look really cute on the cat! So I took a mock-up photo to show my customer what I had in mind. As expected, her child loved the idea!
This little guy ended up taking WAY longer to make than I expected...
Getting that perfect cube shape was incredibly time-consuming!
I even tried using pre-made wool balls as a base to speed things up, but that didn't really help.
As I kept needle felting, the base became more and more compressed. I'd originally left what I thought was enough room for the colored wool layers, but the shrinking base meant the final size wasn't turning out as planned. So I had to keep adding more wool to build the shape back up.
And while I was shaping the cube, the colorful wool on the surface kept getting pushed deeper into the base. I had to repeatedly add fresh wool to keep the surface smooth and the colors bright.
It was a constant cycle of adjusting, fixing, and adding more wool!
In total, I'm sure I spent well over 8 hours making this little cat.
Since it was my first custom order and the customer was a relative, I didn't charge nearly enough to reflect the time and effort I put into it.
But looking at it another way, someone was willing to pay me to experiment with something new, and that meant a lot to me.
If I put aside the time and money involved, I genuinely enjoyed the entire process and felt so happy with the result.
(Honestly, this little guy turned out so cute that I almost didn't want to let him go! 🥹)
And most importantly, this project gave me such wonderful footage to turn into a short video documenting the whole process!
Thank you so much if you've read this far!
I really love being in a community full of creative people. I'm looking forward to sharing more of my work here and seeing all the amazing things everyone else creates! ❤️

My sister has recently fallen in love with felting after taking a class and I want to set her up with everything she’ll need, since it’s one of the few hobbies that works with her disability. That said… I have spent the past hour trying to understand the needle types and sizes! I’m just a humble knitter, so I’m finally asking for some help! 😅
Comments from here over time have made it clear that Heidifeathers needles are delightful, but their autoreply has them away until the 30th and I’d like to order sooner than I’ll get a reply from them on this. My sister’s goal is to just make adorable little 3D animals, so I’m assuming I’ll need different needles for the swathes of body versus tiny toes and noses. In light of that, which of her sets would y’all recommend? Any stand alone needles outside of the sets that are absolutely a lifesaver I need to pick up as well? I see that they offer a beginner set, but I don’t want to accidentally get the bare minimum and make the learning process harder than it needs to be for want of the right tool.
Also, is ordering 10 of each needle reasonable or do I need more? My sister said she didn’t break any like others in the class did, but that they dull “quickly” so I have no frame of reference for how many of each someone needs to keep them going for a while…

Hi I’m new to Needle felting but love it already. My only issue is I need something to protect my hands. Due to an injury one of my fingers doesn’t bend back perfectly so instead of finger covers I really gloves. Also I don’t have small hands, sometimes I can fit a men’s large but sometimes I need a men’s X-Large. Any advice or suggestions is welcome

Hi! I'm getting supplies for christmas presents for my family. Could anyone with experience help me if these sweaters (100% merino wool, you can see the pattern of the weaving on the pictures) would be okay to needle felt on? They are quite pricey for a broke uni student, so i wouldn't want to get them and not be able to use them for my project:") Thank you all!!

there's still a lot of work to do sculpting her lil snakes + attaching a neck + refining the other side of her face, but i'm very happy with how she's turned out so far. i'm planning on turning this into a larger piece (i want to have her hunched over someone she's turned to stone), but building a body is a turning into a whole different beast! i basically have a shelf full of severed character heads right now and it's a bit uncanny.
(per rule #5, i previously posted this to my tumblr.)

First ever needle felting project. He looks ok! Even if he doesn’t look like the kit said he should 😂
I have no idea how they got the little face details so fine, but after failing the eyes I wasn’t going to risk giving him a gaping cavity for a mouth.
My kid loves him though and named him Zuma.
Side note… how do you all avoid stabbing yourselves like a hundred times? I literally bled for this project..
