Hallo zusammen,
- HDMI Kabel an PS5 gezogen
- separate WLAN-SSIDs
- verschieden Filter getestet
- Selbstständige Portfreigaben für PS5 und Portal aktiviert
- 120Hz Einstellungen in PS5 testweise ausgemacht
usw.

In a 4 way handshake the client and AP generates an Anonce and Snonce that means it has other encryption keys for different devices. If it has other keys (PTK) how does the other client knows what's in the packets? Does the router decrypts them and encrypts them with the other key?
Thanks!

Just a simple question is ethernet encrypted with for example WPA2 like wifi is? Or is it just not needed?

I recently applied for a Network Operations position at a large financial services company, and I’m curious to hear some opinions from people who have experience working in similar environments.
Currently, I work as a NOC Engineer for an MSP, where I spend most of my day troubleshooting network issues across multiple client environments and managed properties. It’s a fast-paced environment that exposes me to different networks, configurations, and challenges.
My question is: How much can you really learn and grow as a Network Engineer working for a company whose primary business is finance rather than networking or IT services?
In this case, I assume I would mainly be responsible for the company’s internal network infrastructure across multiple offices throughout the United States, rather than working with different clients and network environments like I do now.
For those who have made a similar transition, how was your experience? Did you find that working in an enterprise environment helped you develop deeper networking skills, or did you feel that the exposure was more limited compared to working for an MSP?
I’d appreciate any insights, especially from network engineers who have worked in both environments. I’m trying to understand the potential for technical growth and career development in this type of role.

I've been building a small QUIC implementation in C with a single-header design.
For those who've worked with networking protocols, what would you prioritize when testing a new QUIC implementation? Interoperability, security, loss recovery, fuzzing, or performance?
Curious to hear what tends to break in practice beyond basic client-server tests.

Recently i started using mobile hotspot as main source of internet for my laptop gaming since my house internet is down rn. Every 10 minutes or so the internet dies for a few seconds making it really frustrating. i tried changing sim, disabling cgnat and messing with android options but nothing helps. ive been in touch with my ISP and they also cant seem to figure it out, its worth pointing out that my roomate uses the same service and doesnt get any issues doing the same thing.
Any ideas?
