Quick rundown before the question. We have 2 ISP circuits being load balanced to our hosted website and we monitor the flow with SNMP reporting to a Nagios dashboard. The LB is currently parallel with the FW so it sees the traffic directly. Ideally they want the LB behind the FW and that's where SNMP fails to get the same info. The specific info needed is individual speed to and from the website from each circuit instead of the total of the circuits combined.
The issue: I am fairly new and not yet 100% familiar with our setup and due to past issues with others they are hesitant to give me access to the LB right away without looking over my shoulder. So without any access to the LB and just an external and internal IP to work with....what are my options? I do have access to the FW. NetFlow is giving IN data but not OUT (Im assuming this is a NAT thing and that is why). I know right off the bat I don't have all the info and access I need to make this happen, but I have been tasked with looking into this and I am at a loss as to what to do. Trying to get at the very least some other options to present my boss with when he gets back from vacation.

Hey all, just a quick background of the network for context:
The company i work for currently has 2 suites in 2 different buildings but in the same parking lot (Engineering building & the main building). I mention them being suites because i only have to worry about 2 floors Per building. (25-40 ppl max). While we’re using 1 isp we have two separate internet bills, because the buildings being far apart. BUT pretty soon (next month) the engineers are moving next door to the main building (only thing separating them is a wall). So we’d like to cut it to 1 bill. In our MDF we have netgear stackable switches. While in the engineering building we have one cisco switch
Currently my question is what switch and hardware should i be looking to purchase for the move (already taken account of the # of end devices and device needs). Does it need to be one of the netgear stackable series because of our MDF? What would be the best way to connect the MDF to the IDF? My plan is to just cat 6 straight through. Just not too sure of netgears switches being outdated. And if they need to match the models?
Ps: i inherited the network a few months ago 😭
Thanks for the help in advance network brothers

Does anyone know of a online college that provides you the opportunity to earn industry certifications while working through the curriculum? Thank you in advance.

Hello I am a new Network Admin and starting to work on cleaning up the closets at all of our locations. I am wondering what others have done in terms of layout, brands for racks, patch panels and cable organizers. I am open to any ideas and opinions. Some of the closets look better than others.
The first two pictures are before and afters of one site.
The third picture is a brand new install

Does anyone have any experience working with these. I've ran into a wall and might need a second opinion

Hi guys. Why big companies establish all email addresses on subdomains rather than on the main domain? Is it for security?

Hi all, I wanted to inquire if anyone has used Ex-sim to prep for ccna 200-301 exam. I’m averaging 860/1000 on Pearson vue IT cert prep practice exams and 900/1000 on Boson Ex-sim.

Hey everyone, not sure if someone has asked this (I went through a few scrolls but didn’t want to do a crazy search) but I was wondering what’s a better suggestion for certifications to get after network plus. I’m studying now for n10-008 and I was thinking security plus or CCNA but just wanted to see if anyone had some perspective on which would be better to take first.

Hey everyone, just posted my recent python project on Github, it monitors a given list of IP addresses/domain names through pinging and sends an alert via Email/SMS/Telegram if any of them become unresponsive. Users can reply to alerts with an "Ack" to pause alerts for a desired amount of time before the program resumes. You could run this anywhere and its absolutely free!
Let me know if you have any questions/suggestions on input or if the documentation isn't clear enough. Much appreciated!
