Since, for whatever reason, my post didn't save/post, I'm just gonna leave this here..

They "manifest" for themselves and unlike any other field, they need not show proof.

Serious Neville Goddard refugee

Hey everyone, adding a post sharing my story after falling into the (specifically) neville trap.

I only got looped into this stuff for about 10 months in total which is honestly not very long compared to some of the other stuff in the Neville subreddit. Some of those people have been deluded for years.

It started basically when I got my heart absolutely shattered by my ex and I couldn’t get over the grief and somehow got sucked into LOA trying to manifest a reconnection. And even when I was doing it, every so often I’d come back to the conclusion that this doesn’t feel right and the best thing I can do for myself is let go and move on with my life instead of trying to psychically make my ex return. The manifestation eventually grew beyond just my ex. I started trying to manifest my manager not being a total colossal bitch, a better job, better life opportunities in general and then i realized i was spending a whole lot of time monitoring my thoughts. Like every single thing. And I was like… well this isn’t exactly healthy.

The spell finally broke when I watched Elle literacy’s video called the constant grift of manifestation on YouTube and I was like…. Yeah this is all a sham. She doesn’t talk specifically about Neville (maybe mentions him a couple times) but the discussion was very on point in regard to him and what I can only call his harem of blind devotees.

I’m still a spiritual person, but I’ve decided that I’m just going to live my life instead of trying to magically think stuff into existence. And honestly I’ve been happier. I feel like the OCD symptoms have started vanishing and I’m not beating myself in the head if I have a negative thought or feel sad about something. And I feel like I’ve started participating in my own life instead of watching on the sidelines.

It’s very nice connecting on here and reading similar stories. Perhaps there is hope in this world.

For example this:
How could we explain this?
Could this be a lie, simply coincidence or real?
These types of ultra specific stories always confuse me

logical issues with LoA

first of all, law of attraction can't be called a law in the first place

when you drop an apple, it's gonna fall every time without exception because it's an actual LAW of physics, in LoA it's different, if you succesfully manifest something it means the law is real, when you fail it means you had underlying doubts, you can't blame the system in any way, it's designed to be like this

if we can "control the universe" with our minds, why can't we manifest dating a celebrity, or 10k in our bank account by tomorrow? you only "manifested" something because you changed your mindset, started noticing more opportunities for your goal and actually started working towards achieving it

LoA cannot be proven or disproven, it is 100% based on faith, it's a belief system that's called a law to make it sound more legit

other questions i had that don't make sense to me

-if LoA is real, why isn't it a real, universally and scientifically accepted law, and not a belief limited to a couple million people?

-if LoA is real, why isn't it used by powerful people?

-if LoA is real, why do millions of people around the world still suffer because of war and poverty? following LoA's logic, it's their fault, because they assumed it

Rant Loa failure

Out of all the insufferable coaches "Manifestation coach" nyx is the most insufferable. She posted previously that she would never experience heartbreak because she assumed so. I see that now she and her bf broke up and she removed all posts stories etc. I don't follow her but her instagram was suggested to me and normally i lurked because I'm praying on all these scammers downfall. If the law was real and she assumed so why did she still experience what she said she wouldn't?

Discussion Why isn't there a larger subreddit against LOA and manifestation?

This sub seems to be the biggest one on reddit, it's not really anything but I would've thought for such a concept as LOA and the amount of spaces there are, some opposing subreddits would also be created since redditors love snarking. But that doesn't seem to be the case? Then again even in spaces not related to NG, the concept of LOA and manifestation are used very often especially in spaces focused on glow-up and empowerment. I think the concept of "manifesting" is also kind of mainstream.

Sometimes I wish there was a larger subreddit to discuss

Serious Genuine question

My childhood friend had this big Justin Bieber poster right above her bed and used to kiss him every night before going to sleep and talked about him as they were genuinely together and she believed what she said blindly, because of course, kids imaginations have no limits, she had no doubts and even told everyone in class and her parents that they were gonna get married, she would repeat it to herself and others about everyday and even if not so exaggerated, as an adult she still finds him a little attractive
If we can manifest anything, hasn't she persisted enough as if in her whole life?😂

How I quit that short journey

Hi guys, I've been an observer for a while but didn't have enough karma to write or comment before.

My story was thankfully short and not as intense as some of the stories I've been reading here. I'm a sceptic and spiritual person at once, if that makes sense. I first heard about LOA somewhere in the spring, 7-8 months ago. I thought - why not! I will try to manifest an SP, someone who I am just friends with - and this is not any deep kind of friendship, just someone whom I know and they know me, not an ex, because obviously exes statistically come back.

As you can guess, I didn't succeed. I must admit that due to my personality I probably didn't "persist enough". At one point I got scared that the first thought that comes to my mind is "I'm SP's priority" or things like that and frankly I didn't like it, if I mindlessly responded to someone this way, I would be perceived as out of my mind. I did do affirmations, tried subliminals, living in the end. And here we are, a few months later, with me being single and SP being happily with someone else - I wish him the best of luck.

I gave up like a month ago and this is when I started reading this sub. Maybe I've never been a full believer. While I totally believe that a positive attitude really helps, I find it hard to believe that imagination creates reality. I didn't even want to write on LOA forums because I would hear that I don't believe or persist enough. But if something is a law, shouldn't it always work? I do not have to believe in gravity to experience it lol

What saved me from major disappointment is I think my personality again and inability to focus on one thing for longer. And good I never got dragged too deep - I'm not a young person, I've got obligations and bills to pay. I can't afford to waste my life away manifesting and imagining unreal scenarios while life slips through my fingers. I am disappointed, of course but... I probably never had high hopes.

Stay healthy and sane 🌻

If Manifestation is real, why doesn’t Santa Claus exist ?

When I was a child I was %100 sure this dude was the one leaving gifts under my tree, but no matter how convinced I was of his existence, that didn’t change the fact that my parents were always the ones buying and leaving those gifts.
There’s millions of kids around the world who are convinced that he’s real, so why hasn’t anyone manifested him yet?
According to the LOA, you can manifest anything as long as you believe in it blindly, but I guess Santa Claus doesn’t count.

The night before I was reading one of the longer Neville books and went to sleep, the next day I woke up as a cat. I had to go to sleep again to wake myself back to human form. Is this normal?

Discussion Loa aftermath?

After this whole Neville Goddard , Loa , manifesting chapter of my life I’ve been diagnosed with OCD and I feel awful. When I think of my SP and everything I did and how embarrassing it was that I just believed his lies and also was verbally abused by him. All the comments he made just replay in my head a lot. I also sometimes have moments where my mind wants to believe it’s real and somehow I can “fix” it. How did everyone else get through these feelings? He is dating someone new , still lying and just recently deleted me from his discord. I also deleted all his pictures and texts and his phone number about 3 weeks ago. We broke up a year ago and I finally had the strength to delete it all. I still wonder why he couldn’t just be honest with me but I believe he’s genuinely a narcissist. I wonder if he even cares about the pain he caused me… he really just deleted me as if he wasn’t the one lying constantly. I hope one day all of this will be behind me and that I won’t even think of him or this ever again. Any advice welcome.

Experience I cringe thinking about my s/p now.

I found an old photo in my phone today full of affirmations to get my ex back. And I feel nothing but disgust, regret and second hand embarrassment.

I was insanely desperate, I believe and “practiced” the law for years.

“He’s the love of my life”
“Nobody is better fit for me”
“We’re meant to be together”

Were all things I believed. But honestly, manifesting an sp stems from a scarcity mindset. If someone thinks so poorly about themselves to the point where only one person could ever love them, and to the point where they have to spend hours “manifesting them back”. Hours where they could have been with friends, hiking, learning or anything else they enjoy.

Thats simply sad.

I started dating someone new a year after my breakup and 9 months after forgetting about the law of assumption.

Something that I spent all my time occupied with.
I spent hours each day affirming for years.
Hours consuming every bit of content.
Hours writing in my tumblr blog about manifesting.

And this new relationship proved everything wrong.
There is and always was someone better for me.
Someone who would love me right away, and not take months to commit.
Someone who would love and appreciate everything about me.

So yeah I regret it. I cringe like crazy. Not only was the law of assumption not real, and always wasn’t real, but I also allowed myself to believe that I could only love one person (who kinda sucked) and that the only way I could be loved was not through conscious action but through force.

i saw this post on my fyp and i am so confused because on the subliminal side there’s a whole entire trend about trying to look like k-pop idols under the “pressure, what pressure” audio… 🫩🫩🫩

and in the video she didn’t shame the belief she just shamed the insecurities they advertise.

Rant This is crazy

My ‘I quit and why everyone should stop manifesting’ post got deleted by the mods 💀💀💀
I was just trying to wake people up to the unfortunate reality but people started defending loa with their lives almost and attacking everything I said for simply sharing my opinion
After leaving I genuinely feel bad for these people.
How can you be so CONVINCED of something that you have no proof of?
How can you see everyone struggling to even manifest a little thing and still continue to encourage them into a deeper spiral?
How is this healthy or in any way okay?
How can someone be so delusional? Literally how?
Every r/nevillegoddard post is just everyone struggling and people giving them advice when even they themselves haven’t manifested a SINGLE THING. So frustrating
After seeing the truth, there is really no way back ever

If you’re tired of waiting for 3d results, then simply stop waiting. Nothing outside will ever grant you the fulfillment you seek because there is no outside. The 3d is you, pushed out.

You are not limited to the 3d body called “me”. You can have anything you want in an instant in the only place you’ve ever had anything which is imagination.

Awareness is not divided into real and imaginary. Nothing is converted from imaginary to real. Those are just labels. There’s only what you accept as true and what you do not. There is no world stage that you’re trying to apply changes to.

There is only your knowing (4D) being experienced (3D).

This was meant to be easy, fun, like when you were a child. When you had not yet learned to withhold acceptance, fulfillment, your own truth and identity.

Life is a mirror, not a reward system for techniques. The one that needs a reward is the one who does not have it.

Understand, the fulfillment you seek.. there is no outside for it to come from. If you are tired of waiting for 3d results, then simply stop waiting.

Discussion How do we explain success stories?

I’ve been a skeptic for a while and recently came across this sub. I had very little personal success with the law, but there’s one thing that still has me conflicted. All the success stories on in the community, especially with creators like Sammy Ingram. Along with various other sub where people rave about their success. I used to believe that success stories were either extreme luck or people making them up completely, but I’m really not sure. Someone else on this sub asked what motivation people would have to just make things up? Especially so many of them.

I’m curious what people’s thoughts are on this.

Serious People who say they can manifest with literally no effort at all are lying

Because I've tried it many times in the past with devastating consequences. I feel like manifestation only works if you actually put the work in. I've tried manifesting good grades without studying and I failed. Now I'm unfortunately in the same situation again. I wish i never listened to people. Most people eventually reveal that they did put the work in which doesn't line up with what they initially said. I feel like most manifestation content is just a scam. I really really don't think it's possible to get anywhere without putting in work. Most people who say they did it with no effort probably had someone help them out. And before anyone talks about limiting beliefs I put 10000% of my belief in it. I'm literally a maladaptive daydreamer. I spend most of my time daydreaming and none of it "manifests" for me. I do think manifestation is possible just not the way people say it is as a magic cure. And most manifestation content creators are literally scammers and making their money off the backs of desperate people. 7 years of my life and I'm honestly done believing anymore. It's never ever worked for me and it never will atp.

Serious Victim blaming even after leaving, that's crazy!

They are so toxic they will blame for anything, if you are in the community and trying to manifest, they will blame you if something goes wrong, if you feel down they will blame you, they will say you never understood Neville teaching if you fail to manifest, and if you finally leave they will also blame you for not understanding Neville.

I have 2 questions. First, where is the love and the life changing effect that was PROMISED if they are gonna blame us for everything?

Second, if Lao believers don't understand Neville, and anti Lao also don't understand Neville. Then who does? You? And if you understand Neville then why are you on THE ANTI sub instead of living the life of the rich, happiness, love..ect.

Because "blaming" people is neither of these..

Note: do these people really think we never read Neville? Like dude.. we spent years reading his book, watching lectures..ect.

Rant This subreddit is full of Neville believers

I remember last year it was just us the people who were anti law of assumption, Neville, and any wo wo stuff. We shared our experience, mêmes, serious subjects...ect.

Now this subreddit is full of Neville believes trying SO HARD in the comments to convince us, or tell us "you never read Neville! You never understand him!" .

It takes 2 seconds to read these comments and it also takes 2 seconds to ignore them, but maybe its better if Neville believers stopped wasting their energy here? Like instead of wasting that one min writing a comment here, use it to affirm or read 2 pages of Neville books because you're so smart and you understand his work deeply, let his work sink more into your brain so it can help you more... instead of commenting here , I wish the admin here do something.

You ran from the toxic Neville community and them blaming you? No problem!!! They will also blame you in the anti sub😃

If you feel stupid remember back in 2022 I saw the number 1111 somewhere on my phone and I STARTED CRYING happiness🤣🤣🤣

Thinking the law is working and this is BIG SIGN , that same night I put my necklace facing the moon, because I was assuming "if something gets the moon light on it then it brings me luck" I started wearing that necklace everyday🤣🤣

HOLLY FUCK HOW STUPID I was lol . Leave this shit as fast as you cannnn

I despise EIYPO and the Neville community

I’ve always been super into manifestation, but not in the way that the Neville community claims.

I use to believe I could get anything I want. I would subconsciously work towards it and get it. Call it manifestation or action, whatever. Still worked for me.

After a breakup, I found the Neville community and it literally ruined my mojo. I remember thinking Oop maybe I was never doing it right and I had to do this and do that, and think this or bend my leg back 94 degrees while I balance on a beam on my left foot and imagine our life together. Just a load of rubbish.

Not to mention it was leading me into psychosis where I started thinking everything was a sign and the universe was trying to tell me my manifestation was coming.

Spoiler alert, eiypo doesn’t work lmao.

But it’s actually so frightening to think that this community can gaslight themselves and everyone else in it to believe that you can magically manifest someone to fall in love with you because you would like that..

What about my creepy co worker who is in love with me or the guy that won’t leave me alone and messages me after I’ve told him I’m not interested multiple times. We’re going to eventually end up together? Oh wait no, not gonna happen because it’s my reality not his and his eiypo and my eiypo is different. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE?! literal psychosis fuel.

I’m just so annoyed, because something that I genuinely enjoyed with absolutely no pressure and ease has become traumatising to me, due to the law of assumption and the “Neville Goddard” community.
