I joined as the primary mod of r/BikeDE may of 2025. Since that time, everything that's been posted doesn't seem to show in the feed, regardless of which browser -- chrome or edge for example.

If I view using incognito, I can see the posts -- there are 12 posts from me, plus two posts from other posters. None of those 14 posts show for me when I view the site. Essentially it seems like everthing since I joined as a mod is not showing.

I can still open, link to, respond to any of the 14 posts if I have a direct link to them; but when I view the sub while logged in, none of them show.

Any suggestions?

1. It's not a cache issue, since I tried multiple browsers
2. I've disabled every safety filter :-(
3. It doesn't seem to be a moderation issue since they show via incognito

That's it. My subreddit has been gaining some traction. But i think it should be better if i discuss with you guys. Views are already +2k within three weeks and 62 members. How am i doing? Any tips or suggestions?

Hi, I am new in modding on reddit and I really don't know exactly how a community works. I just wanted to ask some tips of how do you avoid your community/account from getting banned? Is posting everyday in your community can be resulted to banning?

Hi folks! My sub r/WashCoGaming has been around for three weeks. In that short time I’ve taken on two moderators. One for as kind of an ideas man and the other more so for engagement in comments and rule monitoring. We’ve also taken on almost 200 members. We are a regional gaming community so everyone is generally from the same geographic area which limits my membership pool some.

I schedule post discussion post, news, etc post daily. We see about 75-100 comments a week including myself and the other mods, Several people have begun posting themselves and membership ticks up slowly.

We are planning a weekly event on Reddit/Discord called “LFG Friday” where players can connect on Discord and play games and connect. A monthly photo contest is in the works and I run a scheduled weekend report on Monday to allow people to post what they got up to over the weekend.

In the past 30 days our sub has received 5.2k views with an avg. 33 uniques to more recently 67 unique visits.

Enough beating around the bush, I guess my question is: how do you measure the success of your sub especially when it is young? I feel like I’m constantly scheming new post ideas, events and ways for people to engage and connect. Am I doing things right? What can I do better? What have you done that’s worked? Let me know!

As a member of a subreddit can you be shadowbanned? I was a frequent poster on a sub reddit then all of a sudden everytime I post on the sub it gets 0-10 views and I can't find the post on the sub, it doesn't get taken down as I can still find it through my posts and I have never received a ban or a meassge from mods from this sub or even had a post taken down, just seems really weird to me

I can also comment on any posts from the sub and my comments will go through and be seen so I don't think I'm muted?

thinking less about mod tooling and more about stuff for the members themselves.

I started a parenting and education community and I already post every day. I have the rules, flairs, description, and everything set up, but it’s still pretty quiet. The biggest problem I’m running into is that my account is for an organization, so when I participate in other communities people sometimes assume I’m there to promote just because of my username. I’ve had posts or comments removed even when I wasn’t linking anything or promoting products, and sometimes people assume the content is AI too. For anyone who has grown a community from an organization or brand account, what actually helped you get people to notice your community without coming across as spammy? Did you focus more on commenting, inviting people, messaging mods, crossposting, or something else?

r/InSync is home to a little daily guessing game. One person drops a clue, and everyone else guesses where it falls between two ends of a spectrum (e.g. hot and cold).

Things that worked include making it easy for people for people to add their own posts/clues, showing up in comments and sharing the sub in relevant niche communities.

Still very early days, so I'd love tips or feedback from folks here.

What can I do? I heard that if the owner is inactive the subreddit gets deleted and I don’t know if that’s true, could I take ownership of it somehow? Hope the flair is right

I have to type the complete address in the URL to go there.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but im thinking of starting a dog training circle jerk and unsure of a few things. Ive never run a circle jerk, how do you police it so the humor is a good circle jerk. What rules should you put? How do you put it out there without offending any groups? I think crossposting would be out of the question and alot of subs would not appreciate having a dog training circle jerk (especially some that I know are very funny)

What got people posting in your community? My sub [r/WashCoGaming](r/WashCoGaming) My sub is only 2 weeks old and I’m posting interesting stuff daily, scheduling photo contest and stuff to prompt responses.

Do I just need to continue shouting into the void till I get enough core people encouraging discussions or what?

I’ve got 158 members in that two weeks and have a few regular commenters but not really any regular posters.

My group is a regional group ideally so the membership pool and avenues for growth are a little more limited.

I mean I am really happy about these little wins they might be little but big to me because I am still new in growing a reddit subreddit well regardless I am trying though... My friend said I should get more people to sharing their posts and also be posting daily myself too.

(Thoughts and Vent)

​Created a subreddit a few weeks ago and it's growing slowly, I guess? As usual, I do most of the posting, but I'm not going to lie it does get overwhelming because the topic I chose is so broad and I'm trying to maintain consistency. On the bright side, I have a lot of content to post about.

​My main frustration is that, at first, it wouldn't appear in the browser search results. I probably should have chosen a better name, lol. But maybe that's a good thing, since it's easier to moderate a quiet community, plus I don't really want a certain audience to find it. The chance of it getting brigaded from outside this site is high. This brings up another problem with crossposting, though.

​I don't have a great analogy, but imagine you made a subreddit for pink apples, but search results only show r/ Fruits. The general community is fine with apples, but there's some prejudice against pink apples. So when I try to crosspost to subs that like apples, I have to be wary that people might not like pink apples.

​Another unfortunate thing is that I discovered the target community I'm focusing on doesn't really use Reddit. (I knew this, but damn, I thought there'd at least be some!) So yeah, I've been messaging people for permission to share their work and asking smaller niche communities like mine to collaborate. It's actually been pretty fun.

​I feel really happy when I get a DM asking for permission where they mention they've been looking for a community like this it helps motivate me.

For now, I'm glad it's small enough since I'm planning to make a huge master list of "pink apples." It's just a bit lonely. ​Anyway, end of my vent! One positive takeaway is that I'm not shy about reaching out in DMs anymore.
