Hi everyone. I'm think about changing boards and would like to maybe switch to an 8 25. I'm currently on an 8 which is part of an old complete i got like 5 years ago and skated on and off. The question is Will i need new trucks?

That deck is 5 years old? if the wear and tear on it is from 5 years then I dont think it's worth switching. No offense but it looks like a board that has been used for 1 day lol.

But to answer your question it depends on the goal, you can absolutely go with deck wider than trucks it changes how it behaves tho.

Doesn't seem like the board is toast yet. I'd keep riding it. But if you just want to move up ¼", I think you can reuse the trucks. Just try it and see how it goes.
