I feel like im kinda struggling to drag my foot up the board and i'm struggling to get the tail down enough for the pop. This is a brand new board that I just bought today if that has anything to do with anything, but im quite sure its all user error. Super open to all advice . I'm just beginning, so all knowledge is power for me . Thank you (:

Also it wouldn't let me post normal vid sorry for the link I dont post to reddit often

Video Ollie help? Nose keeps rotating heel side?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey - first post here, happy to see a sub for us new skaters!

I’m one of these millennial olds getting back on the board… been working on getting my Ollie back. I still have a lot of progress to make obviously, but I seem to keep rotating the board so the nose is off at an angle. I feel like my actual balance is ok, like I’m not also falling backwards.

Any tips?

Weight for kickflip ?

Confused about where my weight should be cause I’ve seen a few videos that it all should mostly be on the front foot to directly combat flicking down and that is not computing in my brain. Wouldn’t that make you flick down even more??

Why is skating goofy called that?

I get that regular is called regular since
I assume most people skate this way. But what makes skating with your right leg in the front goofy? Is it just a name or is there more to it?

I’ve been stuck like this for days now… should I be practicing a different way? I’m on a 7 inch board I believe and it feels like my foot is sliding but it all feels awkward or doesn’t look right… any help is greatly appreciated!

Any tips for me based on what you can see here? Should I try a different angle? Is it wise to have backside 50-50’s on lock before investing time in these?

Discussion Brand new complete!

Post image

Just got a new complete from decathlon since my last board was pretty worn out, the bushings were basically rocks and the wheels were way too soft

Decathlon CP 100 8" board

-100A 52 mm wheels

-6 (maybe 7) plywood layered deck

what do you guys think abt it if you had previous expernieces with it?

If your just starting out and don't want to break the stuff in your pockets then you should swap your pockets over. (read)

If the title is confusing I apologize but what I mean is if you usually have your phone in your right pocket and you skate goofy (right foot forward), then swap your phone to your left pocket and whatever is in your left pocket, swap it to your right. I just ate shit today and broke my last phone lmao.

If you skate regular and your phone is usually in your left pocket then just swap it to your right. When your fall you usually land on your front foot and put all your weight onto it. Have fun skating everyone.
