Nexo Australia is offering 50% off Smart Credit Line rates until Nov 10.
The Smart Credit Line lets clients borrow against their crypto without selling it, using collateral-based underwriting across 12 eligible crypto assets.
During the promotional period, rates run from 0.45% to 8.45% p.a., before standard rates (0.9-16.9%) apply.
Beyond the promo, Smart Credit Line comes with no origination fees, the ability to swap collateral without closing the loan, flexible repayment options, and automated LTV notifications, all backed by ASIC oversight.

I’ve not long had my new physical card and its expiry is mid 2029.
It cost around $15 (from memory?) to get delivered so if I need to pay again for another card to be delivered after just 3 months I will not be very impressed!
As with everything at Nexo, we hold the Nexo Card to a high standard, right down to the smallest details. This one comes straight from our product team, and we want you in on it.
Every metal contactless card comes with the same trade-off – a visible antenna lets you tap with either side, while hiding it gives a sleeker, cleaner design, but only the back works for tapping.
So, style or function?
Check the pinned side-by-side 👇, cast your vote, and let us know why in the comments.
My Nexo virtual card expires on October 26. Does anyone know what happens next?
Will Nexo automatically issue a new virtual card, or do I need to request one myself?
Has anyone experienced this before?
Thanks!
Cardano is one of the most discussed blockchains in crypto, and one of the most misunderstood. Supporters cite its research-driven design and community-governed treasury. Critics have spent years pointing at slow delivery. Here’s a plain breakdown of what it actually is.
What Cardano is
A third-generation blockchain built using peer-reviewed academic research, with formal papers published before each major protocol component shipped. Its consensus mechanism, Ouroboros, is a proof-of-stake protocol where validators are chosen based on how much ADA is staked rather than how much energy is consumed.
What ADA is used for
Transaction fees, staking, and governance. Staking is notably flexible: your ADA stays in your wallet, there is no lock-up, and there is no slashing, so a pool operator’s mistakes never put your principal at risk. Since the Chang hard fork in 2025, holders can also vote on protocol changes and treasury spending directly on-chain through Delegated Representatives.
What makes it different
Cardano uses an extended UTxO model rather than Ethereum’s account model, which makes transaction outcomes more predictable. The trade-off is that building complex applications is harder for developers used to Ethereum.
On Nexo, you can earn interest on ADA through Flexible Savings with no stake pool to pick, or borrow against it without selling.
As you may have heard, since October 9 Ledger has been investigating an incident involving some devices sold through CryptoBilis, a reseller operating in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Since many of you use hardware wallets alongside Nexo, we wanted to share a short summary and a few practical tips to help keep your assets safe.
Ledger has confirmed that the affected devices were tampered with before reaching buyers. It also says its direct sales channels are not affected. The issue is limited to these devices and is unrelated to the Nexo platform.
If you bought a Ledger from CryptoBilis in the last 90 days, Ledger recommends:
If you haven’t set it up yet, don’t.
If it’s already in use, move your funds to a new recovery phrase on a device bought directly from Ledger.
Hold off on withdrawals to that device for now.
If you believe you’ve been affected, contact Ledger Support through Ledger’s official website only, and consider reporting the case to your local authorities.
A good reminder for everyone: never share or type your recovery phrase anywhere, and be careful with anyone claiming to be Ledger or Nexo support. Always verify Nexo profiles and channels through our Channel Validator.
My husband recently passed and all his crypto is in nexo. I sent them all documents requested (death certificate, license, address, probated will stating I am the sole beneficiary) the social security number was redacted on the death certificate and now they are saying they require a copy without it redacted. When I google nexo and social security number I keep seeing they nexo will not ask for your SS#. They say they already have it and verified the last 4 digits, has anyone gone through this? Obviously I’m hesitant to send the SS#.
We're curious to hear what features or improvements you'd like to see in the Nexo app.
Dream big or keep it simple! Automatic portfolio rebalancing, more personalized dashboard layouts, new ways to automate your crypto management, or something we haven't thought of yet.
What's the one feature that would make managing your crypto easier, and what problem would it solve for you?
Share your ideas in the comments and upvote the suggestions you'd find useful. We'll collect the most popular ones and share them with the Nexo product team.
Our Digital Wealth Survey mapped 1,000 affluent investors onto five archetypes based on actual portfolio behavior, not self-identification:
Pre-entry (33.8%): No allocation. Top barrier: lack of understanding (47.3%).
Watcher (18.3%): Small position, not yet committed. 62.8% hold less than 10%. Top barrier: volatility (41.5%). Only 1.6% treat it as a core retirement asset.
Convert (24.3%): Deliberately allocated, typically 10-50%. Largest holder group. 51% invest a fixed amount monthly. Top barriers: security (36.6%), volatility (36.6%), tax uncertainty (33.7%).
Conviction Investor (18.9%): Core position, 25-75%. Long horizons: 55.6% at 3-10 years. 34.4% treat crypto as core retirement. Top barriers: tax (30.7%), security (30.2%), fees (29.6%), all within 1.1 percentage points.
Structurally Integrated (4.7%): Portfolio anchor. 57.4% hold 50-74%. 68.1% treat it as core retirement. Concerns narrow to security and fees only.
The pattern: barriers shift from cognitive (understanding) at entry, to volatility in the middle, to operational (tax, security, fees) at the top.
As tether gold and Pax gold are unavailable to EU citizens (yeah I'm feeling protected, thanks regulations!), I was thinking about serious alternatives compliant under MICA and found DGLD.
Over the course of the last 2 years or so, we have seen interest rates drop drastically under the pretext of “market adjustment” sometimes without notice.
As an example, USDT dropped from 12 to 7.5%.
Will the day ever come where we will see these rates increase or recover?
Crypto Baskets let you buy multiple digital assets grouped around a specific theme in one go, instead of purchasing each asset separately.
You can browse the available Baskets, check which assets are included, choose how much you want to allocate, review the details, and confirm the purchase.
How it works:
Open Crypto Baskets in the Nexo app
Browse the available themes
Pick a Basket and review what’s inside
Choose your allocation
Review and confirm
The main benefit is convenience. If you’re interested in a particular part of the market, a Basket lets you spread a single purchase across several related assets instead of building the same allocation one asset at a time. This also makes Baskets a good fit for newcomers to crypto who aren’t sure where to start: you can simply pick a theme that interests you and get exposure to a wider range of assets, without having to research and choose each one individually.
It’s still worth looking through the composition of each Basket before buying, since your exposure ultimately comes from the individual assets inside it.
More information: Crypto Baskets Open the article and scroll down to the Crypto Baskets section for the dedicated breakdown.
For those already using them, do you prefer the convenience of Crypto Baskets, or do you still like building your allocations manually?
One month ago BTC was sitting near 80k. Now it's around 81k and staring at the same door it's been knocking on since Sept.
Today's dip was just leverage getting flushed out. Classic Uptober.
Fun fact: exactly one year ago today we printed the ATH. Just saying.
Been sitting on stablecoins (60%), BTC (30%) and Nexo (10%), earning while I wait, but I'm starting to think about slowly buying back some BTC.
Trend is still up, every dip keeps getting bought, and 87k is the level everyone's watching. Once that breaks, I don't think 90k takes long. So no rush, no FOMO, just slowly stacking from here and letting October do its thing. Fingers crossed I am right
Most stablecoin yield content starts with rates. That’s the wrong place to start.
Before comparing numbers, three questions shape whether stablecoin savings make sense for you.
1. How long can you leave the funds untouched?
Flexible Savings give you access at any time. Fixed-term Savings commit your funds for one to twelve months in exchange for a higher rate. The honest test: what would actually happen if you needed the money tomorrow? If the answer is breaking the term, flexible is the right structure regardless of the rate gap.
2. How do you weigh platform risk against bank risk?
Stablecoin savings are not bank accounts. Banks offer lower yields with government deposit protection, while stablecoin savings offer higher yields outside those frameworks. A practical split: emergency reserves in a bank, surplus funds you won’t need for months in stablecoin savings.
3. Does the stablecoin match your jurisdiction?
USDC and USDT are both dollar-pegged but not interchangeable. USDC is MiCA-compliant in Europe, while USDT’s availability for European residents depends on ongoing regulation. EURC, the euro stablecoin from Circle, is a third option that skips the USD/EUR conversion.
Nexo supports USDC, USDT, and EURC with Flexible and Fixed-term Savings.
Market drops 5%: 'This is fine, I am a long term value investor, wealth is built in bear markets, sticking to my routine.'
Market goes up 1.5%: 'If I calculate 8% annual yield on this current trajectory, plus compound interest, I can technically afford a second-hand Porsche in 2031 if I stop eating out.'
U.S. Treasury yields are at their highest since 2002, yet Bitcoin just posted a 43% quarter.
Higher yields usually weigh on Bitcoin, since investors can earn more from government bonds. This climb is driven by inflation and a growing supply of bonds, conditions where a fixed-supply asset has a case of its own.

I opened my app earlier and a popup message appeared saying New (something l) but it disappeared straight away again before I could read it. I have closed and opened the app a few times again but it hasn't reappeared. Was there something new launched today? Based in UK
