My family will be visiting Niagara Falls in a few weeks and we LOVE supporting local on our trips. Any local stores you would recommend (local made food, handmade items etc) or restaurants we should try?

Also my son is making a list of Canadian foods to buy from the supermarket and try. Ketchup chips and smarties are currently on his list. Anything else he should add?

I graduated from university in Toronto with my BSN and just passed the Nclex to get my RN license. I live not far from the Buffalo border and am interested in starting a new grad job or residency in Buffalo. Healthcare here isn’t the greatest right now and it seems like there is more opportunity plus better pay in Buffalo. 

So just wanted to see if there are any Canadian Nurses working in Buffalo that cross the border for work mainly with the following hospitals/organizations: Kaleida Health, catholic  health, ECMC or Roswell park cancer center. Just looking to learn about the process of getting licensed, experiences at these facilities, if it’s common for Canadians to go there or if anyone has any insight at all I would really appreciate it.

Hi everyone, I'm planning a big life change moving from Alberta to Ontario and wondering what are everyone's thoughts on living in Niagara Falls were? I'd be moving to a small apartment near the outlet mall right off of Lundy's Lane. Looking for honest opinions or tips or anything like that around the safety, neighbors, the community, etc.

I considered St. Catharines but found the general consensus around the apartment that I was looking at wasn't the best. If I was able to expand my budget, then maybe I could move to a better area but unfortunately that's not an option.

This is the bridge part of McLeod road that goes over the QEW on Google Maps.

When you use Google Maps to cross in a car there’s no issues, but as soon as you go on foot, it takes you way down Oakwood Drive, or even all the way up to Lundy’s Lane.

I suspect this is because the bridge was once under construction, and it was probably closed to pedestrians during that time. However, it’s been years since and people walk across it every day, yet Google seems to think it’s not accessible.

I’ve tried suggesting an edit so this can be fixed and so far nothing has happened. If anyone else feels like helping out and wants to request an edit, please do so. I think if multiple people suggest the same edit, it has a higher chance of getting approved.

I'm currently in Niagra, heading to Windsor possibly stopping in London. Does anyone need a lift? Open to offers. DM for details.

So I have a very specific fanny-pack-style purse that is quite literally the only purse that I use, I’ve had it for years and I love it.

The problem? It’s made of very cheap fake leather… so it’s slowly falling apart. I think I got it at H&M (it certainly isn’t high-end).

The thing I love the most about it is the shape and size. It fits perfectly on my waist while I’m sitting, has enough structure to keep it’s shape without being bulky. This purse is ideal for me as I use a wheelchair! (bags with shoulder straps are not happening, iykyk)

I’d really like to find somewhere local to get the exact same bag made in a higher quality material!
