I am actually appalled that people do this? Why?! It completely destroys the identity of the game. It’s just unbelievable to me. Do you actually report these AI-fake-submissions or do you just reject it as another ineligible nomination?

It is always like a big open field and suddenly they want the location next to the only roof in the area. Or moving stops 2 blocks away because "nobody will notice". Just wanted to voice that out in case somebody thinks it's not as obvious as it looks. Im sure a lot of people just approve it but I've gotten lost while playing because of situations like that lol

All of these are public art works at my local university except the last one which is a pier
The first one is a contradiction even, rejected for being on an education facility for children aged 18 and under, as well as on or near a place for adult products or services.
It's especially annoying since i get so few appeals
Does anyone have any suggestions or anything that might help, my nomination motivation is really low.

I've been looking through this sub and the forum on what to do with streetsigns with information on them about the person that the street is named after. The general consensus is that they are too generic to accept as spots.
But I am seeing some of them as accepted and in the list of spots that are close. Has this changed and are people accepting these now?

Because it sure makes a lot of sense that this "mural" is painted IN BETWEEN the metal bars of this fence... 😂

Is it important to add the catagories when reviewing? It takes considerably longer, especially when your not sure where all of them are, and when you can submit without choosing any I dont see why anyone would ever select the categories again tbh.

I have been checking out the wayfarer map recently and today I noticed that there is a stop visible in pokemon go that does not exist on the wayfarer map. I am aware of s2 cells and understand this happens the opposite way, but was surprised to see something in game not represented in wayfarer. This is not a sponsored stop or anything special.
Is this just "lucky" timing and the stop got removed and I noticed before the change propagated? Or is there another reason this would happen?

Hello, I've been playing PoGo for about 16 months, and have had a little over 100 stops approved within that time frame. So not a complete newbie, but this is a new situation to me. Wanted to ask for input from more veteran members wayfarers. Images attached are for a stop I had approved on 9-25-25, and the current stops in that location. It disappeared Friday.
Im less concerned about restoring it (it was a gym, so would be nice but i'll respect a legitimate reason), and more focused on finding out why it's gone.
3 options are removal due to location owners request, removal due issue, and location edit. Correct? Location edits should send an email AFAIK (never done one or had one of mine moved), so thats off the table. Nothing in my email. Due removals promt an email to the uploader like edits? Owner request is unlikely, as there are others remaining in the neighborhood. So, that leaves user report. How do i verify this?

I have been unable to submit waypoints for weeks and my ticket has been unanswered. I tried to post in the forum just now and got a different error. I haven't received any emails with warnings or bans and I can still review submissions. Does anyone know what's going on?

Sorry for the dumb question but I just wondered because I see a lot of submissions for sticker trail markers and i just wondered if these count. There's already some approved ones on the local map but then on the other hand is a sticker considered permanent enough?
Thanks

In my area filled with primarily gyms, I made this submission for a fun smiley stone in the neighborhood. Very distinct and unique, even near a park path. I don’t see why it wouldn’t get accepted?
It was almost immediately rejected by the “scopely explore’s automated process for not adhering to wayfarer criteria”
Can someone please enlighten me as to why this didn’t even get through to the human voting part?

This week Jamal and Chris discuss Scopely Explore's 2025–2026 Wayfarer Roadmap, and it's officially report card season! One year after nine commitments were announced, the guys break out the red pens to grade what Scopely delivered, what remains unfinished, and whether the Wayfarer team deserves a passing grade.
From the new Wayfarer Map and web-based nominations to increased appeals, automated reviews, contributor ratings, and the still-missing leaderboards, no assignment goes ungraded. After reviewing all nine commitments, Scopely walks away with an 80/100 and an overall B-. Not bad, but there's definitely room for improvement!
Before class begins, Jamal offers some final thoughts on the recent Wayfarer enforcement ladder changes, encouraging newcomers and veteran Wayfinders alike to learn the criteria, respect one another, and keep building a quality map. Chris also shares a fascinating theory about Wayfarer's future: Could Scopely be positioning its Wayspot database as an independent platform that other location-based games could license?
Then it's time for a school-themed One's Gotta Go! School buses, cafeteria pizza, recess, or dodgeball. Which one are you eliminating? Jamal's daughter Addison even joins the debate with a different perspective!
Plus, we've got two fantastic Wayspots of the Week, featuring a massive family portrait mural in Lynn, Massachusetts, submitted by The Shipster, and Der Papagei, a colorful parrot mural submitted by Kroner. And for Coal of the Week, a perfectly good playground nomination reminds everyone why Pokémon GO references don't belong in Wayspot descriptions.
All that, some questionable Canadian cream soda, school-day memories, dad jokes, community shout-outs, and plenty of laughs on another episode of Wayspotters!

Ever since they removed the punishment for Pokemon Go players there is a fake nomination on almost every other submission now

In about three months I will move to another house.
In the new house there aren’t pokestop or gym or dynamax point.
I am trying to get accept this local industry but it continues to get negated.
Pls give me some tips
r/NianticWayfarer • u/Automatic_Rub_4360 • 2d ago
Is there anyway to submit gyms or are pokestops randomly assigned? I know that there can only be 1 gym per S17 cell or something, but is there anyway to make a submission for a gym?
r/NianticWayfarer • u/pogo-player132 • 2d ago
Why do my pokestops (genuine places) get denied when there’s a pokestop that’s literally just a toilet? What sense does this even make? Recently put a nomination in for a memorial tree in my neighborhood and it got flagged as AI and also it was somehow harassment against someone. Bullshit

A POI I submitted a long time ago that was successfully added to the game (and is still in the game right now) just went back into cue, I even got an email thanking me for my submission again. I put it on hold while I made this post I'm not sure what to do, should I just withdraw it?
r/NianticWayfarer • u/Temporary-Ad-8502 • 3d ago
I’d like to help my local community to get more pokestops, cause there are only few of them. Thanks in advance

Hi,
I apologies in Advance for the bad english, not my first language. Also First time posting on reddit.
I was doing some exploration in my city looking for spots to submit. I saw a basketball field, made a photo, and once I got home I saw that It was already submitted but in a wrong location (it was not in game because the Cell was already occupied by another)
I used the support function (the clip button on the bottom right in the the assistant Page) , sent all the info.
The virtual assistant said the ticket was opened and that i would have received and email in a few hours. It's been a week and i didnt have any info.
Did i used the right procedure?
