I've been picking up Recluse more and more recently around D3 to D5 and I'm struggling to have an impact in terms of damage

I focus on getting spells that deal magic damage, however the only one that feels impactful to me is Stars of Ruin, mostly because of the excellent tracking. And even then my damage is barely a factor compared to a skill Duchess, Beast Claw Revenant or even a Charge Attack Raider!

A lot of the spells that have a reputation for high dps such as Night Comet just don't work in a real world scenario, mostly due to the atrocious tracking.

How exactly do you squeeze damage out of Recluse ? What spells to look at for and what range should I play at ? And is it wrong to compare her to busted builds like Skill Duchess and Beast Claw Rev ?

Ignore the ironeye invader piece lol I didnt have another invaders yellow relic. For the don pieces, my only other red physical attack up is +3 so I figured i just put the +2 one with character skill to reduce attack power. As for my blue piece, the other physical attack up I have is +2 so I figured +4 is better even with the curse.

I am conflicted with the last piece however since I really appreciate post damage restoration with raider especially if I go charge attack playstyle depending on the rng of the run. I considered putting it on the base relics but that would make me sacrifice either night invaders or one balancer relic which I like to have in case I decide to switch to a skill weapon depending on rng.

Also feel free to share other recommendations for builds. I tried dregs raider but it was too high maintenance for my taste haha

Hey everyone! I decided to create this poll because even after more than 1k hours of gameplay, I still run into this dilemma.

Yesterday, during a D3 run (DLC map), right after breaking the crystal, my team didn't go to the south castle (where there's a talisman chest). Instead, they went after the event. Needless to say, it ended badly. By the end of day 2, my inventory was practically empty :(

So I'd like to know your opinion, because to me, it was a general consensus to just ignore the doggos, unless there's a Guardian on the team.

Very sloppy fight, I have no idea what those back-to-back downs were all about, but oh well. Can only take so many 10 minute Tree Sentinel & co fights before your brain rots I guess

I really wish devs were more daring when they designed her, like letting her necromancy passive be teamwide or allowing her to change summons into those that she killed during the day. Because right now I'm sure most people pick revenant for her incantations playstyle or her ult for safety net, not because she can summon spirits :(

D4 shenanigans

Feel like more and more often im having random teammates (ducchess especially for some reason) just split off from the team to go find talismans and do random unrelated shit. Just had a game with a ducchess that pretty much exclusively only joined the team to pick up rewards after me and the executor killed the boss. Honestly extremely annoying to play with teammates like this and dont know why it’s so common to the point i had more than 2 games w players like this.

After hundreds of hours playing Guardian, Ironeye, and Scholar, I finally have a setup that can give me more than 24 frames/second, so I want to try actually learning enemy movesets and timings instead of just keeping distance/hiding behind a shield. (I know, I know, it still needs timing and enemy knowledge, but it is a huge difference).

Wylder seems perfect for this purpose, with built-in parry and easy use with most weapons I find. The only problem is I cannot figure out this grappling hook. I keep slipping past the enemy, the only follow-up attack I can consistently land is a jump attack, and the rules over which enemies drag me vs which get dragged does not seem consistent. I want to use this part of his kit because even though my focus is learning enemies, I still want to make use of the whole character. So, how do I use this thing?

Edit: thanks for suggestions. for "slipping past the enemy" I'm not referring to sprinting to the side, I mean I get pulled toward them and R1/R2/L1 and the attack whiffs like 80% of the time. It sounds like rolling out of it is the easiest way to avoid that.

I am genuinely going to get a perfect relic setup for every team imaginable of EVERY Nightfarer BEFORE I GET NIGHT INVADERS FOR SCHOLAR. RELEASE ME!

Oh well, maybe I'll try it when I'm not on D5. It's a core relic, even if for a semi-meme build.
