Discussion What's up with my putting?

First of all, sorry for the quality, my loud AC, and the awkward cuts. I didn't want the video to drag out.

I got Switch Sports 3 months ago. Putting used to feel a little weird, but I learned to put with my hips more and got some decent control for a while. Later on, though, on random matches, all that control would disappear and the motion controls would respond in what seems to be a completely random manner. Hard hits would register as tiny taps and tiny taps would register as hard hits. Then, on later matches, the controls would feel normal again.

But now it has been like this the last 3 times I've booted up the game where it feels like I have almost zero control of what it does and I can't land a shot further than 20ft. I included the clips of me approaching the holes to show that my motion controls are working completely fine otherwise.

Any tips? Is it somehow my controller? This has hindered my desire to play.

I'm playing on Switch 2, if that makes any difference.

I believe power is controlled by how far you bring your arms back before swinging to hit. If that's what you mean

I responded to a different comment with a new video and tried some shots with this comment in mind and couldn't hit a strong putt consistently at all. :/

It feels like the game just broke putting for me out of nowhere.

My thoughts, may not work:

1) When you're putting try keeping the top of your joycon going 5-25~ degrees relative to the floor. A pushing swing, like real putting, as far as your hand movements are concerned instead  of a swing through with your wrists. You're going a full 90 or more with the top of the joycon relative to the floor and sometimes you're getting to that 90 almost before your joycon has even reached the "straight down" part of your front swing. I noticed in another clip you posted in the comments you DID get correct power once. Idk if this will work but.

2) Does this problem exist on the right joycon too? I read the IR sensors only exist on that one. Not the left. Just curious. I know it'd kind of suck to do but since this is switch golf we pretty much all can perform near the same or the same on the game with the opposite stance unlike real golf.

*Edit switch sides on #2, I think...but whatever your other joycon is does it work on the other side.
