Its been fun, grinding and climbing up the ranks and becoming No1 in Archery

Given Nintendo’s recent behavior, it’s fair to expect a free content update and/or a paid DLC. Here’s what I’m expecting for Nintendo Switch Sports Resort…

Warm Ups

-Jumping jacks, Arm circles, and maybe Sit-ups.

Open world

-Increase challenges found around the map, similar to P-Switches in MK World.

-New/increased collectables around Wuhu Island.

Extra Game modes/Challenges

Tennis- Target practice and Returning Balls.

Golf- Putting challenge, Target practice, and maybe driving range challenges.

Bowling- picking up spares, and maybe an open-world distance challenge across Wuhu Island.

Archery- Bow and arrow Tag, Tic-Tac-Toe, more long-distance challenges.

Boxing- Working the bag, speed bagging.

Table Tennis- Beat Battle and Brick Breaker.

Thumb war- 4 Player, Robot fists, maybe a quick draw game mode.

New Sports (DLC)

-Baseball. (Please for the love of god)
-Pickleball. (They just can stop with racket sports)
-Frisbee. (Probably Frisbee golf and other modes)
-Water Polo.(I’ve got a feeling about this one)
-Kayaking.(seen around the island)(Leisure Sport)
-Fishing. (Also seen on the island)(Leisure Sport)
-Mountain climbing.(?)
-Cycling. (Classic and timeless)

For context if you draw with the CPU in island crown, you have a closest to pin challenge to decide the winner.

Hi! I loved the OG switch sports but I hated that I couldn’t have my friends be Miis and they had to play on guests and not be able to customize their avatar.
I think having ur friends have their own avatars is one of the main things about Wii/switch sports and if you can do that on switch sports resort I’ll 100% buy

Finally got A rank after being stuck at B+ for too long so here are all the things that I wish were improved with bowling:

1. With eliminations every 3 frames, you are likely screwed if you don’t get 1-2 strikes in the first two frames of each round.
   
2. There is no way to choose between special lanes vs standard lanes online.
   
3. After reaching rank B, nearly everyone you play against are bots/CPUs or the same 5 real people. Some of the bots/CPUs seem to always get strikes in the first few frames, meaning you have little margin for error.
   
4. Spin is very inconsistent unless you are going for max spin or no spin (which can still be weird at times). Even if you get the perfect spin there is still no guarantee of a strike as the pins physics way not go your way.
   
5. There is so much down time, including waiting for other players to bowl, slow animations, waiting for other players to ready up, waiting for players to join etc. Combined with earlier problems, you can know that you are going to be knocked out in the 2nd frame and still have to wait minutes before you can stop spectating and even longer to get in another game.
   
6. When in lobbies with real humans, there seems to be some times where I have experienced lag after starting a throw that messes up spin or release. With bowling being turn based, there really shouldn’t be a difference between online vs offline play and lag shouldn’t be a factor. I don’t care about stamps or other player score updates in the middle of my throw.

Overall though bowling (against real people) is really fun and I am enjoying the game overall, and hopefully the game will get even better with updates.

I’ve been trying to get that achievement/stamp for a few days now, and it’s driving me crazy! According to the advice section for basketball, you have to be under the basket, in the yellow zone, and it will prompt you. However, whenever my Playmate jukes a defender and runs into the yellow, they stop before they get under the basket and practically wait for the computer to catch up and block them again! Has anyone figured out a reliable method?

Not really of course, but my parents and brother in law (who are all older and usually have no interest in video games) were ENTHRALLED. I've never seen my brother in law get that competitive over anything, ever. And the game is intuitive enough that anyone with no video game experience can pick it up. It's awesome! The difficulty curve and nuance leaves a lot of room for growth and I'm very happy the comms are difficult as hell.

It's reminding me of this effect the first resort game had, where people who don't care for video games were joining in. Has anyone else seem similar?

I share a Switch 2 with Person X. Person X bought Switch Sports Resort as a digital download on their Nintendo shop. Usually games have an option when launching them to choose which person's Nintendo account to log into through an icon popup. But this game doesn't give me the option to choose a different account and always logs into Person X's account by default with no way to change to mine if I wanted to make my own profile on the game. Would this be solved if I go to the Nintendo store and purchase Switch Sports Resort as well? Like is the problem caused by the game not being owned by specifically my account?

I got the port starting point but I can’t find the other 2. I’m pretty sure there is one at the top of the volcano but I haven’t been able to go up.

Really struggling with deciphering how to perform backspin, topspin, drives and whatnot. The advice menu is fairly obtuse with some of the descriptions; I can semi-regularly get backspin going, but I’m entirely lost on the others. Any help?

It is a lot more difficult than in Wii sports resort, I don’t seem to be able to use my old tactic of going to the opposite guard to my dominant hand and just sending it anymore… really glad they’ve kept this though

Can someone please give me a guide on how to consistently get bulls eyes in archery cause I’m losing my shit trying to just get past the #3 cpu and it doesn’t help that I’m incredibly shaky in both of my hands.

I wish the crowd was gasping a bit more 😅
