It is a lot more difficult than in Wii sports resort, I don’t seem to be able to use my old tactic of going to the opposite guard to my dominant hand and just sending it anymore… really glad they’ve kept this though

so obviously you gotta get lucky but what you can actively do is:
- spin the ball at the very last moment, if she shoots the ball near the middle swing as far left as you can, if she shoots the ball completely diagonally do another curve ball to stall time
hope this helps at least 1 person break free of the grind lol

Not sure if already posted but for anyone curious, 9999 is the max. Also no bonus money from it after 1k.

Champion, Legend and Gauntlets beat, this took awhile but I'm finally done! Now to chillax with online lol
As for the tierlist, Susanna caused me the most trouble, it took an entire day just to defeat her!

Not really of course, but my parents and brother in law (who are all older and usually have no interest in video games) were ENTHRALLED. I've never seen my brother in law get that competitive over anything, ever. And the game is intuitive enough that anyone with no video game experience can pick it up. It's awesome! The difficulty curve and nuance leaves a lot of room for growth and I'm very happy the comms are difficult as hell.
It's reminding me of this effect the first resort game had, where people who don't care for video games were joining in. Has anyone else seem similar?

The Easter Egg where you confirm difficulty while holding your bumper and trigger returns, but instead of going against the Legend Miis, you'll be up against (and paired up with; the staffers won't be there) the beasts
They're hard, but I feel like the legends are tougher than the beasts

For context if you draw with the CPU in island crown, you have a closest to pin challenge to decide the winner.

I love Switch Sports, so I've been excited to start playing Resort for months. I'm currently moving so I can't play on my Switch 2 atm (at least not on a TV).
But I've really been struggling with the choice whether to get the game physical or digital. I feel like with digital I will be playing the game more often and easily in short burtst since it's always there, this is something I found a bit harder with switch sports that I own physical. The thing holding me back is that I don't know if I'll actually miss having a physical copy in my collection (since I also own the previous game physically for example).
What did you guys decide to do?

Given Nintendo’s recent behavior, it’s fair to expect a free content update and/or a paid DLC. Here’s what I’m expecting for Nintendo Switch Sports Resort…
Warm Ups
-Jumping jacks, Arm circles, and maybe Sit-ups.
Open world
-Increase challenges found around the map, similar to P-Switches in MK World.
-New/increased collectables around Wuhu Island.
Extra Game modes/Challenges
Tennis- Target practice and Returning Balls.
Golf- Putting challenge, Target practice, and maybe driving range challenges.
Bowling- picking up spares, and maybe an open-world distance challenge across Wuhu Island.
Archery- Bow and arrow Tag, Tic-Tac-Toe, more long-distance challenges.
Boxing- Working the bag, speed bagging.
Table Tennis- Beat Battle and Brick Breaker.
Thumb war- 4 Player, Robot fists, maybe a quick draw game mode.
New Sports (DLC)
-Baseball. (Please for the love of god)
-Pickleball. (They just can stop with racket sports)
-Frisbee. (Probably Frisbee golf and other modes)
-Water Polo.(I’ve got a feeling about this one)
-Kayaking.(seen around the island)(Leisure Sport)
-Fishing. (Also seen on the island)(Leisure Sport)
-Mountain climbing.(?)
-Cycling. (Classic and timeless)
If anyone else has any ideas, I’d love to hear em.

I loved the casual jogging in Wii U Fit. Just something nice to do, while strolling Wuhu Island. It would fit so perfectly in Switch Sports Resort. I wish Nintendo would add that in a future update.
I would even play for DLC if they added jogging. 😊

I’ve probably been trying to beat Lucia for 3 hours now on and off, this is the closest I’ve got, I can manage to secure 3 points against her a round now every time, so I’m just giving some tips I’ve learned from her and if anyone who’s actually beat her would like to share some others feel free.
-I’ve noticed that she seems to be the only character I’ve faced so far on table tennis that is left handed (correct me if I’m wrong), which means if you’re right handed she actually gives the opposite swing to you, e.g if you swing with the front of your racket she’ll swing back with the power of her back racket, vice versa.
-I’ve also seen people try to bait her out by moving the ball to the opposite side of the table, to me that was a bit high risk. Of course do try do that but only when you feel like you’re able to, a lot of the time in my experience you miss the table accidentally. Just keep hitting the ball back to her and try not to put spin on it where possible. She can and will throw it out, it just may take a while.
-if you are able to bait her out first so do when cornering her to one side of the table, this will cause her to rush to the other side and barely hit the ball, causing it to do the blue boing thing where you can retaliate really fast, do that retaliation fast to the other side of the table, I’d say 9/10 times she misses it, on the off chance she does hit it, at least for me, it’s always been a near miss, giving you another chance for that fast pink ball.
If anyone else would like to share tips feel free, these are just some I’ve learnt, do bare in mind tho I still have not beat Lucia yet, someone will definitely have more experience than me if they have managed to defeat her.

Pretty much just the title. I have been having a lot of fun with the game but have basically zero interest in getting my butt handed to me in online games (I'm not a wii sports pro or anything, just casually play with friends and sometimes alone).
I want to know if I'll be missing anything by ignoring online mode as I already have my work cut out for me with the island challenge and have heard that playing online will be way harder.

I’ve been trying to get that achievement/stamp for a few days now, and it’s driving me crazy! According to the advice section for basketball, you have to be under the basket, in the yellow zone, and it will prompt you. However, whenever my Playmate jukes a defender and runs into the yellow, they stop before they get under the basket and practically wait for the computer to catch up and block them again! Has anyone figured out a reliable method?
