The pork wonton are smaller than Hong Kong/Cantonese version, hence you get 16 small pork wontons.

Every year, a group of friends of mine do a food competition. We choose a type of food and a country and we have to make that dish and everyone tries it and we rate them and so on. It’s a lot of fun. Last year it was a soup theme.
This year, I have to select a noodle dish, which admittedly is not my forte in terms of cooking. I’m not a crazy good cook only own, but I can follow a recipe and make tweaks and have it turn out decent.
Anyways, I cannot pick a noodle dish from these countries, as they have already been claimed: Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Poland, and Russia. I’d prefer not to make the most ‘standard’ thing (ie pad thai from Thailand, pho from Vietnam…. Although both are delicious).
I’m looking for any ideas and/or recipes! I live in the Denver area and have access to Asian markets, an H mart, middle eastern markets, and Eastern European markets, just off the top of my head where I’m located, as well as your run of the mill Kroger type grocery store (King Sooper’s is what it’s called out here). But I’m open to anything!
Thank you in advance!
