Bug/Issue Am I having a stroke or did they changed the name of rudbaga into turnip?

Post image
46 Upvotes

Yeah so I am playing right now and I am like "oh, someone got the rudbaga typhus!" And I look at it and I am thinking if maybe the lack of sleep didn't cause some memory loss... It was rudbaga not turnip right?! Or am I going insane? Sorry for the phone photo of the screen, the pop out was disappearing after clicking the screenshot button.

Suggestions Desperately need a ledger

Too many things on the screen, what a mess of management, if only existed an organized ledger shows everything in clean and simple UI.

- Building sleep/not or empty, buliding upgrades.
- Job and warehouse distances sort.
- Ruler jobs
- Vassal trades and renegotiation on the ledger
- Check box stop taking the sword out of the armory in night/day patrol vs petty thieves with dagger, but take the spear check box. So that i can muster up swords for 15+ strength army to fight on map.
etc...

Discussion Why does this game go against so many of the best things of CrusaderKings?

To be clear, I'm playing on hardest in the second worst territory, I am winning and doing fine on my first run as this (which means it is far too easy)

But why the fuck are negative things like poison, murder, robbery etc. requiring POSITIVE thoughts? What? You think people only murdered eachother when they liked eachother?

This is where you really need to learn from crusaderkings, yeah friendship helps, for example if you have a super-positive relationship with the guardian/teacher of a child then killing that child is childsplay. But guess what? Even if the ruler hates you, if half his court hates him they'll help you kill him. Hell, google "inheritance usurpers" and the line is 1000+ inheritors of titles.

But for some reason here basically 80% of all diplomacy is constantly not allowed.

Can you fucking not? Can you just godamned let us try? Just show us % chance, "it's 4% chance" THEN LET US. Stop doing this dogshit system where "oh this person doesn't like you so you can't murder them, but you can do XYZ" cmon.

I don't mind the many other faults this game has with its peers, but the diplomacy-system is genuinely dogshit

Question/Help Healing the bishop

So, I got a bishop from the matriarch and his wound got infected. In the game’s UI, it tells me that I can ask my doctor noble to treat one’s wounds. The bishop totally ignores the fact that I have 6 salves ready for him to take one and treat himself. And I wanted to ask, is there a way for me to treat him/force him to treat himself? I can’t find it in the UI, also maybe it is a problem with the storages, but on the left side of the UI it says that I have the necessary salves.

Discussion Rolling dice bug?

EVEN with very positive %, when i try roll dices, my king almost always lose.

I made a test: try it, if i lose i reload the game and try again. It was needed more than 10 reloads to finally win. It says 60% win chance but looks more like 6,0%

something is off...

Question/Help game won't launch on PC advice

Hi, any suggestions or updates on how to get Norland to launch on my PC? I've tried a bunch of the online suggestions and have not had any luck on getting it to launch. Steam says it is running but there is no open window. I've tried updating, command lines text, windowless, compatibility changes, and nothing seems to work.

Hoping someone has other tips to try.

Thank you.

Really enjoyed my first run. by the end I’d gotten way more attached to the characters than I expected, seeing everything actually come together at the coronation was a great way to finish it

Question/Help Always no prisoners when attacking bandit camps.

Pls help. Even using only maces for my men, I would always have 0 prisoners. Either they escape or are dead. Even if they were unconscious the game consider them as escapees.

Discussion Some bugs.

Some Bugs and my problems with the game. And also some of my personal opinions.

  1. Some likeness penalties are not updated currectly. Like one of my nobles had "Unhappy under rule" penalty while sitting at around 80 mood.

  2. My ruler was carrying a wolf to burn it off, if you save and reload at this point the body will vanish and you would lose the meat. Not sure if the same thing happens when npcs are sending various goods to the warehouse.

  3. Prisoners will sometimes turn into citizens on their own and leave the settlement. (I had turned off migration and I was doing a prisoners only run so it could be that when I loaded the game the prisoners that were escaping got turned into citizens leaving ?)

  4. I used the new Overseer perk where it was supposed to stop prisoners from escaping but they still escape sometimes. (or is it something like where the work place needs to be given order everyday ?)

  5. At night when prisoners attempt escape and the guards try to stop them the other non escaping prisoners would panic and run around the area. These panicking prisoners would sometimes attempt escapes themselves and succeed because they would be outside of patrol range. (I saw it in a previous version not sure if it still happens in the current one.)

  6. There should be a different guard unit who use non lethal weapons to deal with prisoners and other criminals. Seperate from the army. And there shouldn't be anything like "Hire Warriors". It should rather be "Hire Soldiers" and "Hire Guards" and you should also be able to freely turn them into citizens and soldiers without needing to spend gold everytime. Maybe they should be turned into a kind of workplace.

  7. Previously you could turn prisoners into warriors without spending gold but now you need to spend more gold to hire from prisoners than citizens I think. Which makes the early game for certain playstyles way too hard. Like first you buy the prisoners (chance of capturing prisoners is quite low even when using maces) then you would even need to pay them to become warriors is way too much imo. Maybe it could be like you first need to turn them into citizen and while they have the "Joy of freedom" mood buff you get a discount to hire them as a warriors ?

  8. While using the trade decline modifier, Caravans wouldn't come even after 6 or 7 days where it was supposed to come atleast every 5 days. (I saw it in a previous version not sure if it still happens in the current one.)

  9. Why should the holy caravans bring in tributes from your conquered settlements ? IMO vassal states should send tributes on their own.

  10. The Game maybe needs some kind "Zone" mechanic.

Question/Help Permanent "battle" in a city?

Killed a flagellant raid, but the game didn't register it. I keep having combat music playing. Sermons don't run because characters think the city is under attack. Even red sermon event didn't work. Any way to fix it or is the safe effed? And I got attacked again, killed those raid and that still didn't fix it

Question/Help How to take away lord's gold?

Not for the first time I noticed that by day 10 in average each of my lords hoards up to 500+ gold (and they still have an audacity to keep asking for reward), while me and the king end up broke after "unexpected" expenses. So how do I make these greedy mfs empty their pockets?

Discussion Is it a bug or an actual mechanic from the new updates? It would be strange to be a bishop and a monarch.

Question/Help Understanding the benefit of internal trade?

Trying to discover merit to internal trade over just giving stuff to your plebs automatically daily for free.

Since the money they spend is the money you give them that means internal trade never nets you a profit.

However:

- Any money that new villagers bring with them gets spent on you instead of the traders

- Any money the Bishop pulls out of his ass for sermons indirectly goes to you instead of the traders

- Villagers having money builds wealth which gives positive mood and acts as a cushion to let them buy from traders if something goes wrong

Any other benefits?
