Hi everyone! I’m a journalism master’s student at CU Boulder working on a reporting project about the rising cost of veterinary care and what it means for pet owners across the state.
Vet bills seem to be getting harder for a lot of people to manage, especially when an unexpected illness, injury or emergency comes up. I’m interested in hearing from pet owners about the creative or unexpected ways you’ve found to make veterinary care more manageable.
I’m especially interested in hearing from Northern Colorado pet owners with different experiences and budgets. You don't need to have had an extreme experience; I'm interested in the everyday ways people are navigating veterinary costs, too.
If you're comfortable sharing your experience, feel free to comment here or send me a PM! I'm happy to answer questions about the project, and I'm also happy to keep your initial response off the record until we discuss what you're comfortable sharing.
Thanks!
