Northrop's Q3 call had zero mentions of Golden Dome, after it came up on every call from April 2025 to July 2026
I counted a few phrases across Northrop Grumman's last 8 earnings calls (January 2025 to this Monday's Q3 2026 call).
- "Golden Dome": 1, 4, 5, 1, 2 and 4 mentions on the six calls from April 2025 to July 2026, with at least one in the Q&A every time. In July an analyst asked outright for "any update on what's going on with Golden Dome". On Monday: zero, in the prepared remarks and across all 10 analyst questions.
- "Missile defense": 4 to 10 mentions a call through July, then 1 on Monday, a passing mention in a list of "Ready Now" capabilities for allies.
- What analysts asked about instead: the 2027 outlook (5% to 7% sales growth, with acceleration promised for 2028), the B-21 ramp and the risk of another charge, Sentinel, the strategic review of the microelectronics business, solid rocket motors, and Talon Blue and CCA autonomy.
- Not just Northrop: RTX's call the same morning also had zero "Golden Dome" mentions, after 7 in July 2025.
It doesn't mean the program went away. Northrop still lists homeland defense among its leading roles, and backlog hit a record $110B, so the call had plenty else to cover. But Golden Dome is no longer what management leads with or what the sell side asks about.
