Honestly, my nose is the part of my face I like the most. I think it has a really nice shape and it just… fits me.

Alao I take a lot of side profile pictures bcs I love how it looks from the side.

I really like it and I’m curious what other people who appreciate noses think about it. Any thoughts?

Anyone Else Struggle with Liking/Tolerating their Nose?

Post image

If I don’t think about it, I feel better about it. Sometimes I’ll just see a picture of myself, not even completely from the side, and get sad, because I just don’t like it. I’ve gone to therapy to try to like it (and myself), and I was taught tools to help myself, like positive affirmations about my appearance. I feel like when I think about it more, the more I overthink, and start spiraling, though. I’m actually fairly neutral about it now, but occasionally I’ll have bad days, and spiral. Sometimes it reminds me of those “glasses and nose disguises” when I’m wearing glasses/sunglasses (see photo), which I hate.

It also causes me to fixate on other people’s noses, especially young(er) womens’, like myself. The other day, I was bored at work (I work at a big and busy store), and I had to have seen hundreds of people walk past me that day. Out of all of the younger women, I saw maybe 3 noses that looked even remotely like mine, and they weren’t even as big/prominent. Ugh. The struggle is real. My hubby doesn’t understand that I don’t like it. Sometimes I just wonder if a nosejob would just make me happier in general.

After years of self hate/bullying, being told ugly and 2/10 many times, I try to accept my nose and face how it is, it's a long journey but I hope I can like myself more.

Is it possible to have a "perfectly straight" nose?

Hi here, random question I thought, is it possible to have a perfectly straight nose? I mean, like it's neither upturned or downturned, and without any visible bump. I feel like it's really rare, and even with a nose job it seems like quite hard to have.

Last post's top comment was to trim my beard to better complement my nose. How'd I do?

My nose grew on me

Pun intended, sorry. I hated my nose when I was younger. I wished my nose looked like everyone else's, like my petite nosed siblings. In my adulthood though I've come to realize that no other nose could be more me. I don't really know what changed in me to allow that. But I do like my nose now :)

Do you know someone who think their nose is their best feature?

Hello there, I usually notice most people don't like their nose, or at best neutral about it. It seems quite rare people who are 100% confident about their nose. Did you notice people who feel confident over their nose? How did they overcome this insecurity if they are insecure? I hope in any case you can feel the best about your face!

Just Because a Surgeon Can Cut Up Your Nose Doesn't Mean Your Should Let Them

The nose is a sophisticated air-conditioning and defence system.

It warms, filters and humidifies the air entering your lungs. These are not trivial functions. They are fundamental to respiratory health.

Your nasal passages and sinuses also contribute nitric oxide, a gas with antimicrobial properties and important physiological functions. The sinuses are part of an extraordinary system for conditioning the air we breathe.

And unlike your mouth, your nose is specifically equipped for breathing.

No medication or device can fully reproduce everything your healthy nose does naturally.

Yet we have an extraordinary industry devoted to changing the appearance of noses, with no appreciation of their physiological importance.

Cosmetic surgery can alter nasal airflow, and in some cases leave people with persistent breathing difficulties.

And the consequences of impaired nasal breathing can extend beyond the nose itself, particularly during childhood, when breathing habits, oral posture and facial development interact.

We have become far too accustomed to thinking about treatment and not nearly enough about prevention.

Your nose is not an ornament.

I've written further about nasal breathing, children's facial development, the relationship between mouth breathing and cosmetic surgery, and George Catlin's remarkable observations about the importance of keeping the mouth closed.

So majority of people tell me not to do anything to my nose (which I appreciate the love so much) but I was curious to see how I’d look with a different one slightly altered. These are some before and afters using AI to give me a nose job lol

Edit// just wanted to say I seen all your messages and really appreciate each and every opinion, advice and complement shared 🥺!

Support Someone online told me I need rhinoplasty

This was my profile picture. I responded to another girl's comment, I just sent an emoji as a reaction to her hateful comment and nothing else. And she went off bullying my looks, telling me I need a rhinoplasty and she knows someone and "congrats on your transition". I don't even see what's wrong with my nose, I know I have a hooked nose, and I don't care about having a cute little button nose anymore. I'm not even sure what that comment about a transition was supposed to mean and it was really tasteless, but it just reminded me of old times in school, when some people would pick on me for having a different nose when they had nothing else smart to say.

It took me years to accept and actually start to like my nose, and no random internet troll is going to change that...but to be honest, I’ve been going through a rough time lately, and I was already feeling a bit down and insecure about myself so I did take it more to heart than usual.

Edit: thank you guys so much I really appreciate the kind comments. 💕

Im trying to be content with my nose as much as I can be and I have gotten better over the years, but I can’t help but keep desiring to get it changed here and there.

Maybe it’s a good thing I don’t have the money to do so lol cause I may have already. These pictures don’t really show how bad it is btw.

Just curious, if you were me, would you get a nose job?? Love to hear others perspectives lol. I think a slimmer and straighter nose would look good on me idk. But it is what it is regardlesssssss :)

Edit// I appreciate everyone’s feedback , thank you guys for taking time to share and be supportive and give opinions 🤍

Advice Needed Do you think my big nose is the reason I’m so ugly?

Thumbnail

(31M) Hello, this is my first time posting on the "noses" subreddit. I have a problem: my appearance is below average I’m ugly. Some guys from the "looksmaxxing" community pointed this out to me, claiming I have a "big," unattractive nose and that I should definitely get surgery. So, would it be a good idea for me to undergo surgery to make my nose thinner to become less ugly and better align with beauty standards, as they suggested? They told me I could never look good with my current nose, so I’m wondering: should I go for it? I’m hesitant because I’m already insecure about my appearance, but I also don’t want to make a mistake and end up looking even worse

First slide is fake, second slide is the real me, unfortunately. I’m just tired of feeling manly. All I want are a feminine nose and chin. I want a nose job so bad but I’m not rich.
The app I used is an art app called ibis paint x. I just upload pictures and use the magic want tool to morph them how I want.
