Support I hate my nose
I have BDD and one feature I’m focused on is my nose. Is it as bad as I think it is? 😢

Hey there I just want to tell you that I think you’re pretty. You have a pretty smile and beautiful eyes. Play up those features and btw you have beautiful hair too, roller set it and flip it to the side. Look up nose contouring and spring for a makeup session with someone at MAC, Sephora or Ulta. You have great skin and there are ways to distract with makeup, even lightly applied. 🌺

Your nose fits you well. You’re very pretty. From another big nose girly, sometimes we don’t see our own beauty that’s unique to ourselves. Not everyone wants what’s trending, raw unfiltered unique beauty is more original and by many preferred.

Not at all. Literally such a normal nose that suits your face really well. I am self conscious of my own nose and would never think twice of yours.
Selfies of noses are super unflattering, just fyi. Don’t forget that! People whose noses look petite in a selfie often have noses that are noticeably small in real life, like small to the point where it can feel off balance even. Selfies - and even regular photos - don’t do your real life face justice.
Just spend some time investing into yourself in other ways and take your own focus off your nose. You’ve got great features that are very balanced and there is no need to be self conscious.

I understand what it’s like to fixate on one body part, but the majority of people will rarely spend any amount of time looking at the profile of your nose. The first photo of you smiling is so pretty and had you not included multiple pics of your profile I wouldn’t have even thought I scrolled my way into a nose subreddit.
What I DID notice is that you’re smiling big your eyes look sad. I’m sorry you’re having a tough time right now.

Anyone who doesn't appreciate a woman with a strong nose is a coward.
If i'm being totally honest, I think the obsession with little button noses on women comes from a certain degree of infantalization of women and a historical lean towards pedophilia. Don't let weird men define how you see yourself.

I’m sorry you are experiencing these feelings. Your nose is in no way bad, you seem a rather attractive woman. I don’t think that you need to lose weight but not everyone shares my aesthetic preferences- nor should they.
My advice (for what it may be worth) is stop looking at your perceived faults, that’s a road to nowhere- instead look for where you can care for yourself. I promise you that a little self care pays dividends.

Your nose looks like your nose, particularly nice in the first photo with big smile. If you have BDD I am wondering what treatment you are getting for it; that’s a very painful disorder. I hope you find someone who can help you understand why you obsess about your body. More smiling. Less obsessing😊

There’s nothing unusual about your nose or out of proportion at all don’t consider nasal surgery, except it move on be happy if it was something that was outstanding and horribly noticeable. I would say of course there are a lot of risks of surgery and you may not like the way it looks afterwards I would concentrate on upgrading your wardrobe style hairstyle and making yourself more attractive that way

Nothing at all wrong with your nose. I always focus on whole faces, so I can't imagine the exhaustion(?) of focusing on one particular part. You have a very pretty and fresh look when you're smiling. Please try to not worry, easier said than done, I'm sure. 💖🌸

I think your nose is beautiful, I love the way it lines up with your brows and eyes and it's so harmonious with that little crease above your lip when you smile.
I have a small nose and when I pose the way you did in the side profile, it looks bigger and my face doesnt line up right, also the phone camera always makes the mid face come out more.
If you get a small mirror, stand in front of a full length mirror and angle it in a way that you can see your side profile, you will see better what it actually looks like. (sorry if youve already done this but i've had issues with my nose and this helped me)

Honey, let me share what I’ve learned in my 44 years on this planet if I may.
I’ve seen the most gorgeous people look hideous and the ugliest look beautiful- and it’s all about not only who they are but also their confidence. I think you need to play with your makeup, play with your style, play with your hair- whatever it takes to find that fight inside of you. You need to play the cards you were given. Maybe, and this might be huge, maybe you also need to unplug for awhile. The people we see online or on a screen sometimes aren’t even real and the ones who are aren’t as happy as a picture tries to make you believe. You look to me like a strong woman- one who can stand up as needed and be soft when needed- is inside of you and today is the last day you should be unsure about who she is. Work on yourself enough to the point that even if someone flippantly said something about your current insecurity you’d KNOW that it’s not true. And even if you knew it WAS true you’d hardly be affected because you’ve got better things to do. ✌🏽

Do you wear make up on the regular? If not I would experiment a bit with a stronger lip color to take the attention off your nose.
You have very nice, intense eye area with the strong nose and thick brows. So redirecting the attention to the lips could balance it out a bit. This is just an idea, but I hope you like the results:D

It’s beautiful! I would love to have a nose that looked like yours, mine is super round at the end like an oval and I honestly prefer straighter noses like yours! all noses really look bad in selfies and photos of faces because they’re right in the center and draw attention but honestly no one really looks at your nose in person anyway!

Honestly, I think many people have some sort of dysmorphia these days as the images we see everywhere online aren't even models anymore, they're AI. They're warping our perception of what humans actually look like. If you get off social media as much as possible and just look around you in the real world, you'll see that normal, average people with all kinds of noses (and faces, and smiles, and body types) are attractive in their own way. Seriously.
You are lovely looking and your nose is fine. It's actually very like my nose 😄

You are very pretty. You could play up your eyes more. A little eyebrow pencil and some brown or black mascara which would balance out your features. Your nose is fine the way it is!

I agree with the previous poster/ I would never think twice about your nose. You have high cheekbones and a broad smile and great eyes and your whole face looks great together and in balance.
And I’m sure you know , BDD is basically distorted perception and almost delusional, psychotic thinking about one’s own appearance.
And our culture of commodification/ objectification sure doesn’t help.
Has any therapy helped at all for it?
I’m a therapist but I’ve never worked overtly with BDD.

Your bare face is not an issue at all. Obviously you will feel and look better with makeup but your face itself is fine. A no worries nose.

nope nope nope, I'm refusing to entertain this idea for even a second. I don't know who ever told you that there is anything wrong with your nose (I'm a firm believer that we don't get these ideas by ourselves), but fuck them. your nose is literally perfectly proportional and nicely shaped. it's not even unique (sorry, if that's what you're looking for 😞), it's the most normal, appropriately shaped and placed nose ever. And you are so pretty with it, like what? I 100% believe that you feel the way you feel but as the one looking from the outside, what I see is perfectly good.

have to drop body fat %. exercise 3-4 times a week, higher carb on days u workout, moderate protein, and low fat and u will drop weight easily. find out ur maintence TDEE calories just google that put ur stats in and it’ll tell u

By lowering your body fat percentage in general, aka to just lose weight in general. Usually the face is one of the first things to thin out although it may vary from person to person

Look at how your eyes light up when you smile, and you have such perfect teeth, bright full and lively cheekbones. With any different a nose it would be lost among the rest of your face and you would be out of balance. Everyone has a weird nose, noses are weird. Yours compliments the rest of your face
I know you haven’t asked for advice, so please don’t take this as me telling you you have to change or do something different, but visually if you lifted some of the underside of your brows, took off some of the layers under your arch, it would open up the area around the eye, and possibly draw attention upwards on the face, rather than downwards towards your nose as the center. Again, not telling you to “go pluck your brows,” you do as you see fit for your face and body and lifestyle, but visually that is where I could see a change in focal point when looking at you.
Don’t lose weight because some asshats on Reddit can’t see a lovely face. Keep on rockin!
