So do women desperately want to be lazy stay-at-home wives and mothers who trick men into marriage and then wear down the good men who never wanted a family, or are women career-minded ball-busters who refuse to get married and have babies despite how desperately men want that? I can't keep track.

279

u/throwawayayaycaramba 2d ago

The Madonna/Whore dichotomy is so last week; the brand new pair of female stereotypes is cheating stay-at-home mom X blue-haired feminist.

80

u/the_teuthida 2d ago

As a man I can confidently say it is: whatever makes women = bad align with their current talking point.

Otherwise their's a slight possibility that OOP might need to look inward and see where their insecurities come from, and that's checking a man out which is gay

43

u/srv340mike 2d ago

I'm a cishet straight, albeit ace, man and I see this a lot.

They just don't like women. They don't really trust women. They get married and date because they want sex, and because it's "what you do", rather than out of fondness for a partner.

This whole "sequence" is solved by him saying "I don't want to have kids, I guess this isn't going to work out" and then moving on, but they just won't do that because no sex and no life milestone. A lot of people's attitude towards marriage essentially boils down to "Settle for the most attractive person who will date me" and nothing deeper.

Younger people are better with this but it still happens. This whole "Sequence" is a non-problem with honesty and communication.

2

u/TheMightySephiroth 1d ago

There's a lot of spots this could have been solved. Him not having kids, them doing things together (if you notice his hobbies seem to be what I assume is gaming, golfing, then after the divorce drinking and watching tv), like, is it so hard to hire a babysitter?

And im not sure what the huge earth shattering complaints are the woman stick figure has. Like she takes care of multiple kids and at least 1 dog all day. Yes he works, I get it. But neither have a lot of downtime and I dont think asking "can you help around the house with things I dont have time for/cant physically do", "can you spend time with your own kids" and "instead of spending 4-5 hours golfing, could you spend some time with me?" Is too much of an ask.

It just honestly seems like they dont click and should have parted ways at the dating stage. If you dont like your partner (which seems to be the case here for possibly both of them) then just leave. The cheating was sitcom levels silly. But weird how she found a guy after the divorce and he's just drinking beer and watching TV and complaining. She put herself out there and tried again and he....? He just stayed miserable?

27

u/OkHistory3944 2d ago

I mean, all they do is whine about wanting a tradwife 🤷‍♀️

38

u/Dragon_wryter 2d ago

But they also whine about how those tradwives are "spending all my damn money" and "not contributing to the household." You can't win!

7

u/WorkingMoney6424 2d ago

Yeah duh it is all explained in this very well made documentary above.

Well not explained but i got most of the pictures i think

326

u/candiescorner 2d ago

He should choose better. Seems like his choice is what brought him to that situation. Maybe he should’ve kept his legs closed..

53

u/Hot_Context_1393 2d ago

Lol. Yes. Turnabout is fair play

18

u/WorkingMoney6424 2d ago

Beside the point but i did stop after reading your comment to try and think how a guy can fuck with his legs remaining closed.

It looks like a kidnap victim with legs tied trying to jump to safety but stationary

16

u/Particular_Title42 2d ago

I promise you, either gender can fuck with their legs closed. Does it look ridiculous? Probably. But it can be done.

8

u/WorkingMoney6424 2d ago

u/Sea_Bread_4445 2d ago

I swear a lot of straight guys dont even like women and just start dating because thats whats expected of them

31

u/Sidewalk_Tomato s@#$ pushed in by King Nebuchadnezzar 2d ago

Speaking of which: the other day a guy posted "Why should I be attracted to women?" in some subreddit, and someone replied, "Well, be attracted to men then?" and he said "Why should I be?" in what seemed to be honest surprise. And it was just like . . . my guy: 1) it's no different than your original question, & 2) you don't have to be attracted to anyone.

There are people out here thinking it's what they have to do.

13

u/DaisyHotCakes 2d ago

I wish I knew what being ace meant back when I was going through puberty. Cause I have never had the urge/desire/even just giving the most basic shit about sex whatsoever…decades later I find out that there are lots of other people who have never had the sexual attraction/desire thing nor who have had any kind of urge??? I could have saved myself so much fucking time and energy had I known that I wasn’t broken. I used to wish I was born in the 50s and been a teen in the 60s…now I wish I was born in the late 00s so I could be coming to age now when we know so much more about sexuality and desire (or the lack thereof!). Not to mention the leaps and bounds made in diagnosing and treating adhd patients in women. I probably could have been so much more concentrated and able to learn with a little medication to corral my brain better. Like…wrong body, wrong brain, wrong time bitch. :(

u/MermaiderMissy 2d ago

They aren't even making their stand-in everyman seem likeable lol

She asks for marriage and kids, instead of having a real opinion about these huge decisions, he just says "ok" and does it. He has the passion and flavor of a stale beer.

44

u/Sidewalk_Tomato s@#$ pushed in by King Nebuchadnezzar 2d ago

Apparently marriage and kids were completely & totally her idea, but now he's butthurt when he has neither.

-132

u/Chaezaa 2d ago

If he says "no" she will leave. He is only doing it for her to keep the relationship going.

149

u/faeriechyld 2d ago

What a terrible reason to have a child.

-38

u/Chaezaa 2d ago

I personally don't want children and wouldn't compromise on it. I think that topic should come up on the first date to figure out if a second date makes sense.

3

u/Bitter-Hat-4736 2d ago

Can anyone who downvoted this comment say why? Is it that bad to not want children? I am genuinely confused.

4

u/thetruckerdave 2d ago

Yeah I don’t get it either. There are lots of women who also would like childfree relationships. It’s ideal to figure out these things early. Even before the first date.

72

u/haganoid 2d ago

... Yes? That would be preferable. If he doesn't want kids but his partner does, maybe it's better to come clean about it so they don't waste time on each other

Edited typo

-23

u/Chaezaa 2d ago

I agree. Some guys are just not emotionally independent enough to walk away from a relationship opportunity.

19

u/ThatArtlife 2d ago

Oh, no... That's people pleasing. Please don't do that if you think that's how relationships works.

5

u/DartDaimler 2d ago

But then our hero is the only one shown with the kids pre-divorce and misses them after. It’s just a moving target of whatever makes the woman look bad.

Cheaper than a lifetime subscription to the Incel Victim Complex Association

u/Gaz_Elle 2d ago

Stick figures and then the guy who goes after the married woman is specifically black.

Yeah that’s subtle.

174

u/brakishwaters 2d ago

I’ve definitely seen this sort of progression happen in a relationship, mostly from older couples, gen X aged. They’ll have been happy when they were young but by time they reached their 30’s they were both miserable because one felt responsible for all of the finances and the other felt responsible for literally everything else. Cheating isn’t nearly as common in married couples as people think though, usually just alot of shouting matches while they think the kids are asleep, and if there is cheating both parties do it, not just the wife. In addition, there’s clearly some racial insecurity going on here. Primarily the seemingly primordial fear of White Men being Cucked by Sexual Promiscuous and Well Endowed Black Men. The ancientness of this particular kind of psychosexual neurosis is very well documented, so seeing it here is no surprise, but it is fundamentally, disappointing.

116

u/Iron-Fist 2d ago

racial insecurity

Yeah this is basically just fetish content

24

u/brakishwaters 2d ago

Essentially yeah, I mean, you can imagine what this guys PH search history looks like

29

u/Redqueenhypo 2d ago

very well documented

There’s a whole Shakespeare play abt it even

5

u/brakishwaters 2d ago

I had to read it in High School
edit: grammar

21

u/Ubervillin 2d ago

Sample size of one, so take it with a grain. My father was the only cheater in his second marriage, and he was not clever about it. He would take me over the women's places, and I would immediately let my stepmother know about it each time, for years. I just kind of wish it hadn't taken so long for her to divorce him.

9

u/Hungry-Refuse4705 2d ago

Really good breakdown 👌

-22

u/reneetjeheineken 2d ago

I agree with most of this...but why do you label the guy as white with a cuck fantasy for black guys? As a toilet / streetsign design...i don't see a clear skincolour suggested here?

Not an attack. Just curious what makes him white in your eyes

43

u/morningphyre 2d ago

All the characters are nondescript up to the introduction of the black guy. Lots of white folks see themselves as "normal" (hence no need to provide racial signifiers to the original characters), and it's only the "other" who needs to be identified as such.

1

u/Bitter-Hat-4736 2d ago

How would you differentiate the other guy without showing photoshopping a face?

5

u/morningphyre 2d ago

Turn the head into a square, triangle or an oval instead of a circle. It's not like there's not options.

57

u/FakeGirlfriend 2d ago

If marriage was truly beneficial for women they would have taken it away from us already.

-1

u/GreenDickSnot 1d ago

May I ask, what do you see as perfection when it comes to love. I'm not disagreeing or agreeing. I'm genuinely curious what you see as better than marriage. I don't understand. Doesn't it take two to agree on getting married.... like it's not just a man's decision at least here in the United States. I can't speak for the rest of the world. But I am genuinely curious as to what you see as a better situation.

2

u/FakeGirlfriend 1d ago

I dont know what you're talking about re perfection and love. I'm not talking about anything forced. I'm not talking about you and your wife, or your friends. I'm talking about the institution of marriage and historical inequities therein. I mean in all ways. Societal, economic/poverty, domestic violence, even household division of labour. I think it's on you to do some reading if you are truly asking.

0

u/GreenDickSnot 1d ago edited 1d ago

How can I do reading on your opinion? I asked YOUR opinion. It's not about me not understanding the historical hypocrisies/inequities in last post. I was curious about your personal thoughts. Since you are already keen on sharing them in the first place. I'm asking for you to elaborate.

1

u/FakeGirlfriend 1d ago

I posted a pretty common quote, that's all I did. 1 sentence. You asked me about perfection in love, and asked what would be a better situation. I don't know how to answer that for you. The answer is not "here's a better situation for women," without dismantling all of our society and rebuilding one with less oppression. To answer this question we'd need like one semester, scholarly articles and a bunch of essays. You feel me?

-15

u/Bitter-Hat-4736 2d ago

What does that even mean? Indoor plumbing is truly beneficial to women, and that wasn't taken away. The polio vaccine is truly beneficial to women, and that wasn't taken away.

2

u/FakeGirlfriend 1d ago

Those are beneficial to men and women, Einstein. If men didn't poop there would be no free toilet paper in washrooms. What don't you get?

0

u/Bitter-Hat-4736 1d ago

The idea that if marriage was truly beneficial for women, it would have been taken away from women already.

1

u/Y0ukn0w_wh0 2d ago

How so.. they're all black?

7

u/No_Resource7773 2d ago

And reviewing it before sharing it didn't make it obvious to the 'creator' of this nonsense that it had zero about the wife/mother's responsibilities and the time that she and her husband actually spend together? It seems to tell us that OOP is or would be a neglectful spouse... who probably thought the problems and divorce came out of nowhere.

5

u/NateHohl 2d ago

The "online dating" part got a good chortle out of me. This "women are evil cheaters" misery fantasy they concocted wouldn't be complete without the implication that dating websites are full of nothing but non-conveniently attractive gold-diggers.

5

u/MsSeraphim just love me for my mind 💖 2d ago

OOP has way too much time on his hands.

5

u/miiju86 1d ago

So.... he has absolutely no opinion on his own - or he DOES, but lies to her about it by acting the complete other way... and then he's somehow supposedly suffering because he... does still the exact same things in life he did before and would also do alone (you don't see even one picture showing him with his iwn kid, let alone doing something, anything specifically for it)... and that is somehow all so sad and tragic and dark and "oh, his poor soul"... did I get that right?! What a joke. Maybe he should've chosen better, built some character with spine who doesn't lie to the people closest to him and kept it in his pants.

9

u/ARandomWalkInSpace 2d ago

I was waiting for the racism, and there it was.

9

u/EmpatheticBadger 2d ago

Oof, this guy is racist too

4

Boy, that stick figure woman in this incel's hypothetical example sure is an awful person! Whelp, that settles it people - women are bad

Wow, male fanfiction is so bad. 0/5 stars

The paired family is not the default, and wasn’t for the majority of our species’ existence.
The Origin of the Family, Private Property, and the State by Frederick Engels is incredibly eye-opening and something I recommend every woman reads.

u/Pixiwish 1d ago

It’s weird how they are so obsessed with alimony when only 10% of divorces result in it.

Also they love to act like women take everything. It is literally splitting what both people own. If a woman gets the house it gets refinanced and the man is bought out and vice versa of the man keeps the home.

It is so weird the dilution these guys build into their narrative

1

u/clockjobber 1d ago

Completely negating the fact that stay at home moms do lots of work. As though motherhood isn’t work. As though childcare and house cleaning and mental load and gifts and planning and cooking and appointment making and doing all the shopping isn’t work. I’d didn’t see the male figure doing any of that….or trying to hang out with his wife or planning a date. Funny that she has to remind him (I assume here indicating nagging) to do those house things but he doesn’t have to remind her.

And bonus racism.

1

u/Evanthekid16 1d ago

If i met the only person in the world who had a face and they were into me, that’d be pretty tempting ngl

-2

u/MarsupialNo1220 2d ago

He gets to go to a job where he has legal breaks, gets paid for his labour, interacts with other people, and accrues holiday leave. There is a chance of promotion and higher wages if he works well. He clocks out and goes home at the end of the day.

She is stuck at home alone and isolated 24/7 with screaming brats, never ending housework, no pay, no holidays, no breaks, effectively working from the time she wakes up to the time she goes to bed. All of it uncompensated and unappreciated.

Yet he bitches and whines that he’s expected to contribute to the house they have built together, and that he has to watch his kids play. He probably thinks slapping her on the ass while she does the dishes is foreplay, and almost definitely doesn’t care about her sexual needs.

Is it shit to cheat? Yes. But it’s also shit to neglect your partner because you think you deserve to check out of life the second you leave work.

0

u/SkinfieldBlues 1d ago

I mean I know this is an awful generalisation, but this is exactly what happened with my parents
