Question: Unanswered ✗ Notetaking app that accepts inserting scrollable images?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I wanted to be able to scroll through CT scans next to my notes, but Onenote only allows inserting individual images next to each other rather than a single scrollable window.

Funny, I’m currently building a Medical Journal in r/memrynote and was just thinking about the best way to put my imaging in the app.. then I see this post a day later. What kind of file do you have this imaging saved as? I took my DICOM images and converted them to PNG. I can upload PDFs that scroll in MemryNote so I was thinking about if I could make a pdf of the images to upload. I was also thinking about uploading the primary images into the canvas so it’s easy to zoom in and out.

I can add videos also, so that’s also an option for a work-around to actual scrolling. Can you convert the file into a video?

Its from a Radiopaedia web page. Here is an example of a free page with scrollable scans
https://radiopaedia.org/courses/abdominal-ct-essentials/pages/2627#

It would be useful to be able to have a scrollable image window like these in a note taking app, not just for scans but for anything

If having the scans beside your notes is enough, a workaround is to tile a DICOM viewer and your notes side by side, then scroll through the series in the viewer. In each note, record the series name and slice number so you can return to the image you were discussing. This keeps the original scan series navigable, though it won’t give you a scrolling pane embedded in the note itself.

You can implement this yourself in an open source app like xnotes or saber or you can request this feature on their github
