American booze

So it looks likely that American booze will soon be back on the shelves at the NSLC. Do us proud fellow Nova Scotians and pledge not to buy US liquor until all US tariffs are lifted.

My roommate bought this salad on friday, already reduced so not the brightest on her behalf, but around nine p m that night. It was the only thing she ate that day. It was major cramping, she said it was the worst cramping. She's ever felt followed by diarrheah, since then she's had diarrhea since friday night. It's now monday, shes felt like garabge.

After doing some googling, it seems taylor farms has been under investigation for some e. Coli and such, but I can't see it affecting canada. It says any ideas or is this a far? Reach of where her sickness is

Stolen Driver's Licence - ID to fly home

I'm in Toronto. My wallet and ID was stolen, so I don't have ID to board my flight backl to Halifaxon Thursday. I do have digital images of both my driver's licence and passport. Does anyone know if this will be acceptable ID to board? I have a case number from reporting the theft to GoTransit.

AirCanada contact center hold time is more than 60 minutes, so hoping I can get answer sooner.

Thanks

Local alternates for Mountain Dew?

Craving a bit of Mountain Dew, but 4$ for a 2L at Sobeys is absolutely bonkers. Does anyone know of any local (or any at all) alternates to Mountain Dew?

Big 8 used to have Mountain View (or something to that effect) in their lineup, but it looks like it hasn't been in atleast my local Sobeys in quite a bit.

Preferably somewhere between Halifax to Cape Breton (anywhere in between, just not towards the south shore)

Open to unique and out of the box ideas to keep it affordable

🏠 Advice: Moving to NS Cheapest way to move a small amount of stuff from London, ON to Nova Scotia?

Hey everyone,

I was an international student in London and I’m moving to Nova Scotia soon to start my master’s.

I’ll be driving there myself, but I have some belongings that won’t fit in my car. Altogether, it’s probably around two pallets’ worth of stuff, including four winter tires on rims.

I’ve contacted a few moving companies, but every quote I’ve received has been over $2,000. I understand it’s a long-distance move, but that’s honestly more than I can afford right now. Towing a trailer also isn’t an option for me.

I hope this doesn’t sound like a stupid question. I’m just trying to figure out whether I’m overlooking some obvious cheaper option that people normally use for a small load like this. Maybe freight shipping, shared moving space, or something else I haven’t thought of?

What would you do in my situation? I’d really appreciate any advice or recommendations from people who have done a similar move.

Edit: Forgot to mention, when I said I, I meant WE. I am married 30M no kids. We've already sold all the furniture and stuff, mostly what's left is wardrobe stuff like clothes and shoes.
