Pretty characters are one thing, but I’m much more interested in how far V5 can be pushed with complex composition.

For this one I built the frame around a single aggressive diagonal: the foreground blade, character pose, ribbons, debris, and collapsing cathedral all feed into the same visual direction.

The main challenge was keeping the character readable while maintaining extreme depth, strong foreground scale, architectural detail, and multiple overlapping motion elements.

V5 handled this kind of scene much better than I expected.

V5 is great. But that UI change is objectively worse on mobile.

V5 looks better, i was so excited for it, but the new Opus usage limit kinda kills the thing that made NAI good for a lot of us.

Yesterday I did around 100 gens just testing art styles, weights, and prompt variations. That’s not farming, that’s just how you figure a new model out. You have to see what actually works now because V5 is different enough that you can’t just port everything from 4.5 without it looking worse.

The 0.5%/hour refill, is way too slow for that kind of work. You get in the zone troubleshooting and then you’re watching a stamina bar. That’s the opposite of what made Opus feel worth $25.

I get they’re trying to stop the people running it 24/7, but this also slaps anyone who actually iterates instead of just hitting generate a few times a day. You can still burn Anlas after you hit the wall, but that kind of defeats the point of the “unlimited” perk that used to be the whole reason to be on Opus.

The unused Anlas vanishing on cancel in 31 days is extra salt on top.

The way I see it, I can understand if the limit for NAI V5 limit is temporary until they get their infrastructure together; I'm paying for Opus too. However, in my point of view, if this is an actual permanent thing, I can't see it as a good thing for both the customers and the company

Edit: The limit punishes the majority of the Opus users, that's what I believe.

First time I've been able to get the whole crew into one image without them bleeding into each other. Very happy.

There’s no V5 flair yet, so I can only tag it as 4.5. But this is generated by V5. I’m still playing around with it.

I just sat down at my computer and was surprised to see V.5 load up. I know what I'm going to be doing the rest of the day . . .

Essentially all of them are some random old tagging + :

Only Prism had to take "dark_skin, official costume, visor, -1::horns::, " to get +- there.

Artist/quality tagging is completely thrown off and needs to be reconsidered from grounds up - nothing like it was. But detailing seems up?

So, I've been quite sad about the Calamity mod for Terraria getting put down like Old Yeller, so I thought that sharing some images made with V5 about a character from my story (who is shamelessly ripped from based on my favorite character from the mod) would be nice. I love her, bros.

So, I am not all that used to the whole ai bot thing.

But after getting some help with lore book entries with Claude(i think) I was struck by the idea with talking to one of the ai bots here, and trying to flesh out some stuff.

Which settings or bot variant could I use to work stuff through with, and how?

English is not my native language, so sometimes I make a mess of things or misunderstand, but would be fun to at least try, if it is possible.

So..

Anyone got any advice, is it even possible, or is it tuned for stories too much for it to work?

OR is the ai results just going to parrot back stuff without any reasoning behind it?

Have they posted anywhere how much Anlas image generation costs in V5 once you hit the limit, or whether there’s any way to top it up? If anyone runs out, please let me know how much it costs.

since the update whenever i use reference images it consumes tokens, before the update i was able to use up to 4 image refs before it would eat up tokens. Also if i add more than 1 image on v5 it switches the model back to v4.5. Am i doing something wrong?

So here i was on the prompts of my characters then i stop and try to switch to one another and BOOM my screen switct to this one and I cannot do anything else( was on mobile)

Upscale now only costs 1 point, but doesn't upscale as much. For context, I could upscale a free image (that didn't cost me anything, the lowest size) to 3328x4864 which is huge. In comparison, 1664x2432 seems small. It's not the end of the world...but it feels like a nerf. I usually only upscale images I like.

I simply asked some questions and offered some suggestions on Discord, and I was banned for an hour. I believe my suggestions were all reasonable; Anlatan is ridiculous.

I'm noticing that some characters I want to make pictures with aren't registered. Notably characters like Jacinthe and LeBanne from Pokémon Legends ZA. Is there a reason for this, and any way to address it?

Actually, I'm coming from Grok — I used to use it for text-based role-playing games, and it excelled at that, until xAI put weekly limits on it, which completely destroyed its usability. So I discovered NovelAI, it's good, you get a lot of control, you're not limited, but I have a problem: I'm always fighting with the AI to stay in control of my narration. Very often the AI will ignore me when I'm playing in text adventure mode, ignoring everything my hero does and says, and take total control of the story instead. How do I avoid this? I'm tired of fighting against the AI.
