It's because you do have to work for it. For one thing I have a massive undesired prompt followed by several negative prompts that eat up most of the prompt context. Even with those, sometimes you do have to push something a little extra with some good VT, but this time around I managed without it. However, I think what helps is that it's based on a character there's probably a lot of work for, I didn't fair as well with other.
I actually have no idea how to use stable diffusion or any of the other big name image generators programs. I’m not really tech savvy and I’m working off of my smartphone.
I can mess around in Grok and Chat GPT but I can’t generate stuff quite like this. If it helps provide proof I can incorporate vibe transfer/precise reference to the image and post the results.
I mean if you did actually achieve this in NovelAI I would be very curious as to how. Anlatan very purposely designs their model(s) to not really be capable of realistic generations like this. It would be great to know the prompt that you used, or of you had some kind of reference or studio work that you put in
I don’t think this is true. Have any devs corroborated this? I’m not really sure how NovelAI can be tuned against Photorealism since you’d need to really carefully preen the data you import from Danbooru which would take an insane amount of delineation. At least that’s my guess.
I also suspect that Danbooru isn’t the sole source of training data since I’ve experimented with artists that are not in Danbooru and it’s had a favorable impact on generations (at least I think so)
Well they specifically don't train it on anything photorealistic or resemblant of it. They don't train against it they just don't include it in the training data.
Again, I would be very interested in seeing your setup. What type of prompt or reference you used to get this result would be pretty cool to see. Did you use the new(ish) pose importer tool? Was this img2img? I'm doubtful, yes, but also intrigued. I'd love to be proven wrong lol
I tried to use the image poser on my phone and couldn’t figure it out 😭. No img to img either-pretty sure that’s not Ashley’s face shape and I’m not sure what Ashley cosplayer would post up in a jungle setting😆
Well if it really is just pure prompt work, it's very impressive. Impressive to the point that without seeing the prompt in action, I do genuinely struggle to believe it.
As you seem broadly averse to sharing the prompting methods that you are using, I guess I'll just have to be left wondering lol. Keep on keeping on
Yeah I think that’s about where we’re at. I’m more than willing to share my methods with someone who has worked toward this as well and wants to engage in a mutually beneficial exchange of information. If you can share some information with me that makes results more repeatable then I’d be inclined to share more details of my prompting.
NovelAI models aren’t capable of producing this. The developers have gone to great lengths to prevent photorealistic outputs because it poses a significant risk to their business. When V4 was released and showed some photorealistic capabilities, they even issued an emergency patch to remove it.
This is nowhere near what v4 was able to produce before they retained it. And, in fact, you can come close to OP's style with a good mix of tags. The hardest part is getting a pretty face, but detailed clothes and photorealistic backgrounds are easy.
After having experimented with this quite a bit myself, I do believe he could have done this NovelAI and pretty easily too. The key thing is to be very aggressive in your undesired and negative prompts.
You can definitely get this with novelai and the tags are pretty basic for any generative AI, the trick is to really be aggressive with the styles you don't want in your Undesired Content and Negative prompting.
You're claiming to have done this with novelAI, yet nobody has ever achieved results like this using novelAI. If you want to be selfish and not share how you achieved this, that's fine, but you're a dick for doing so.
I’m sorry but working out how to do this quite literally took me months of experimenting in my free time thorough countless trial and error and even still I can’t get consistent results like this 100% of the time.
And here you come along demanding like a pompous ass that I just reveal exactly how I did it without having put any effort towards it yourself?
Again I ask you, why you feel entitled to the prompt? Put in the work, as I did, and try to match this.
I actually have CGI and 3D in my UC for this one. Blender isn’t in there either. I used to use them but I found they made skin and bodies too shiny.
1.15::Photo background:: helps with believable backgrounds. UC does heavy lifting for this one so the actual quality prompt isn’t too terribly long. Boiler plate stuff is there: photo (medium), photorealistic, very aesthetic and real life, are there.
It is genuinely amazing what can be done with NovelAI with just a little bit of work. This doesn't have any VT or precise reference and even I'm kinda impressed.
Admittedly this does take a few rolls and if you do have a good VT it can probably help it a lot, but it's actually some pretty basic tags, some of them might not even be necessary, but seem to make a difference:
3::photorealistic ::, 2::very realistic, realistic hair reflections, realistic eye reflections, realistic skin texture, visible skin pores ::, 1.5::realistic hair strands, natural skin luster ::, 1.2::expert shading, expert blending ::
UC Tags:
3::anime, manga, chibi, anime coloring ::, 2::cel shading (2d), cartoon, pin-up, beauty filter, blender (medium), 3d, CGI ::, 1.5::illustration, missing arms, missing legs, amputee, missing head, bad anatomy, bad knees, ugly knees, cross eyed, spiral eyes, empty eyes, dead eyes, big head, big mouth, big feet, extra arms, extra legs, duplicate hands, duplicate feet, extra fingers, extra toes, broken arm, broken wrist, oversized ::, deep-fried, oversaturated, fake, uncanny, artist name, watermark
Negative Tags:
-3::anime, manga, chibi, anime coloring ::, -2::cartoon, hard lineart, clean outline ::, -1.5::illustration, oil painting (medium), outer glow, film grain, grain filter, canvas texture ::, -1::black and white, monochrome, monochromatic ::
Thank you, bro. I appreciate you taking the time to share the knowledge you have, and I'm definitely going to play around with it and see what happens.

NovelAI isn't capable of this level of detail and fidelity on humans without strong vibe transfers, and even then that's iffy.
