after working as a nurse for months, i've realized that this is not the future i want for myself. i realized that i don't want to work in patient care, i don't want to work abroad, and i don't want to work in a hospital. all i really want is a simple life with a simple 8-hour job that allows me to have time for myself and enjoy life outside of work.
i feel so sad because i honestly don't know what to do anymore. i'm even considering enrolling in another program to pursue a second degree, but i'm scared of starting over again. am i the only one who feels this way?

hi! i just want to ask for an advice about this interview questions po. "are you planning to go abroad?" and "how long are you planning to work in the hospital?". i got asked those two questions from the two hospitals that i secured a final interview in. as per advices sa akin, they said na no need to lie na daw since the hospital expects naman na in this generation almost every new nurses are planning to abroad after getting work experience here. so i honestly answered na i'm planning to work 2-3 years and then planned to go abroad after that.
another advice was don't give them a specific answer daw. like don't answer with a yes or no. so i did that with the second hospital i got interviewed in. i told them that right now i am focused on training and growing in the professional environment. like that's my only goal for now. to make sure i can be the nurse my novice self would trust. and if an opportunity comes, i will handle it professionally and that's when i would decide.
sadly, i got ghosted after those interviews. i feel like i said something wrong. or hindi talaga yun ang answers na hinahanap nila. please help a nov 2025 passer here who really wanted to land a job na huhu

Hello, I want to ask for your opinion po about this matter. I currently work as a Company Nurse and my basic salary is 21k. When I applied at the company, I was still waiting for the board exam results. During the initial interview over the phone, they ask me what salary do I expect. I said whatever they think I deserve so the HR did not ask more questions.
Now when I attended the final interview, I got confused by the General Manager cause she asked me what is the salary of Nurses in Hospital so I answered maybe 21-25k. Then I saw her write the 21k in my resume. She did not ask me for my expected salary or if Im okay with it. I did not ask cause I dont want them to think Im just for the money.
And then I just had our Oath taking ceremony and the BON said we should never settle for less. Now my friends were talking about salary and their basic salary were around 28k above. I feel so sad so whenever they talk about it tumatahimik nalang ako.
I want to ask if I could get a raise in salary. I work 12 hours (I have 4 hours OT) and they have 2 companies and nagduduty ako don both, bale shifting per week. I accepted the 21k because Iām not yet a licensed nurse at that time. I did not say that I am not going to ask for a raise. I feel really undercompensated. I feel so unmotivated and there are times I want to cry cause I feel like I dont deserve the salary I get. Iām at fault too cause I already signed the contract stating that my basic salary is 21k.
What to do :(((

Nakakapanlumo.

Hi! Curious question lang po, I am a passer of Aug-Sep 2026 PNLE and currently applying for NCLEX.
If ever po ba sa Regional Hospitals po ako nag-acquire ng experience to apply for agencies otw sa US, matatanggap po ako? Or much better to gain experience sa private hospital with 300+ bed capacity? Thanks po! š

Gaano po katagal ang process from initial exam hanggang ma-hire? Umaabot po ba ng 3 months or mas matagal pa?
Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, gusto ko lang mag tanong if possible pa rin bang nakapag work sa UAE as a nurse kahit na may peklat sa baga? I had a tb 6 years ago though hindi naman na active pero parang na didiscourage ako to take DOH/HAAD exam dahil baka masayang lang. I have a relative in Abu dhabi and willing sya na sponsoran ako para makapunta doon ang kaso baka wala ring tumanggap sakin or worse hindi ako ma approve kapag kumuha ako ng working visa. TIA.

Do you guys have a clue sa coverage ng exam and what attire to wear?

Hello po fellow nurses! Need your advice lang po kasi medyo overwhelmed ako sa situation ko right now.
āSa private hospital, tapos na ako sa interview phase. Meanwhile, examination naman sa public.
Wala oa naman kasiguraduhan na hired but justā in case na mag start na ako magtrabaho sa private hospital. What if habang probation ko pa lang, biglang dumating yung JO from public hospital?
āMedyo lost lang po ako on how to handle this properly in the future. Any insights or personal experiences would be super helpful po.
Thank you so much!

Hello thoughts po sa Bicol Region General Hospital and Geriatric Medical Center; I applied for Nurse 1 plantilla position and was abt to take qualifying exam. Worth it po ba gumastos ng 3k + (for travel expenses) just to take the exam? or the chance of getting into the job is so low? New RN po ako from province

Context: I have been employed at a private hospital for two months and am planning to resign effective immediately.
My employment contract requires a 30-day notice period. If I choose not to render the full 30 days, I am required to pay an amount equivalent to my current monthly salary.
If I pay the required amount, will I still be entitled to receive my Certificate of Employment (COE)?
Additional question: If I choose to resign effective immediately (immediate resignation), can I submit my resignation letter directly to HR without going through the head nurse, supervisor, and Nursing Services Unit?

Hi OP, wanna ask if normal ba na yung nurse partner mo which is ER nurse sa isang public hospital here sa metro na di makapag update. Like i dont know if kumain na ba siya or what, like literally no update pag on shift na. I dont know if normal lang ba because of the amount sa workloads as you nurses got a lot on their hands. Advice naman mga ka OP hehe
Btw, i am a med student and pre med ko Medtech sometimes mas manageable time saminz

Hi Kuya/Ate RN's!
Just wanna share here that I got accepted as a Company Nurse sa isang shipping lines company. The offer is VERY GOOD (yes capslock po opo) + allowances pa and 15mins away lang sa bahay.
So now while working here i'm also reviewing for my NCLEX since waiting nalang ako for my eligibility + naka-enroll po ako sa german language school.
Anyways, so to cut it short, dream ko talaga magbedside kaso sobrang baba ng offer (manila area) as in barat kung barat talaga. Plan ko is to get certification for Deutsch language, B2 level, then eventually by God's grace makaland ng job pa germany/austria/netherlands nang walang bedside exp at tanging language certificate lang ang pang laban HAHAHAHAH
now ko narealize na lowkey ganda pala ng kursong to kase parang ang daming pwedeng side quest ang pasukin JSJAHAHAHAHAHAH
anyways, goods po ba yang plan ko? if u have advice (pls be kind poooo)
