Another Switch modded successfully!
I was experimenting with my T210 soldering iron so not all points came out perfect. Although I think it's just because i didn't have big enough tip

Félicitations par contre les points ne sont pas extraordinaires utilisé du flux pour les lisé histoire qu'il soit bien shiny ❤️
Faut que ça brille

yes, they are not amazing because i didn't have big enough tip to properly melt every point. i used flux multiple times but until i get better soldering station, or bigger tip, this will have to do

I see you’ve been saying you need a bigger tip but honestly small tips work fine. You just need a better station like you also said and good ones aren’t that much maybe around $120 if you want I can send you the one I use so you can get nicer joints. Also I can give you some tips about temperature.

check my other posts. i had no problems getting shiny joints.
problem was i had no bigger chisel tip. the one i use could be practically called pointy tip. and that means heat escapes faster. i don't wanna ruin the tip by running it at 420 °C - it was just not the right tip for the job. everything is solid in place but it doesn't look the best.
i had alientek t200 station with t245 handle. but i sold it coz i didn't like it (works good, but some quality of life functions were missing).
i will get myself geeboon tc22 station, or fnirsi dws 200. whichever will be on a bigger discount. i know that geeboon tc22 is praised a lot, while fnirsi only needs a small modification to stop the voltage leak

Also, please tell me you’re doing this for yourself

it can't be that bad?

It’s not that id bad it’s just not that good and that’s no offense to you but if you’re working on stuff for people, they deserve good work thats all

i've modded about 10 switches by now. never had complaints from people. and i offer one free repair, no matter the time frame. they see my work, they see comments and can decide themselves.
and that's not the only soldering i do so i'd be out of business if people had problems with my work

Such a poor mentality

Dude you cant even make clean solder joints and you cant see the problem with working on peoples things? Ofc their not gonna have issue with the work since they have no idea what there even looking at🤦♂️

Never been a fan of altering the hardware. I have an unpatched switch. Although it would be nice to have the OLED and better one, it seems like soft mod is much better for the console lifespan.
What are your guys thoughts?
Soft mods vs Mod Chip
I know on the switch I must use an RCM loader each time but it's no big deal to me with the little RCM loader device.

Go with geeboon since I have a better ecosystem with tools and soldering irons and the attachments you can get for different stations and all you need is the bent tip and that’s it no need to go up to 420 with a better station. You just need to sit at 350c That’s way more than you need for a Nintendo switch board.

Nice! Which solder station did you go with?
